Homedepot sells 4 x 8 sheets of Styrofoam. Cut it up and attach it to the Gigga with magnets. Light weight. Easy to remove and won't look horrible. It'll provide better insulation and you can even cover the top
Cheap PIR insulation board - 2" - with a nice metalised finish would work as well - get some decent aluminium edging tape... design some corner brackets in Tinkercad to hold it together and it'll almost look professional 😁
You have to dial “tune” in PETG per brand. Also, you need the heater with anything above PLA like I mentioned. I use PETG everyday and a heater is required unless, I prep it in the heater first and then put it into the AMS right after. Otherwise, it is feeding from the heater through a bowden tube > to a four way splitter, to the back of the printer. No, unplugging stuff, just enable AMS or disable it for “side” spool. Also, look into PLA as an interface for PETG and vice versa. It’s much cheaper than PVA and comes off really nice. Just have to dial in the interface settings. I would tell you mine but I’m not near my computer atm.
Makerworld type in "Giga", someone used styrafoam for the walls and top, 3d printed a riser and hinges. Since you already have the plexi, only cost would be the filament and foam
Bambu support for PLA works great. Just increase z distance to what ever your layer lines are set at. and use 3 interface layers. Getting super great results on complex models.
Fingers crossed the Moai gets a bit further. For the coat hangar I suggest testing a different material - get a roll of cheap black Eryone PETG-CF and put it on a Bambu, print at 11 mm3/s flow rate, 0.2 layer height, 255 deg, 70 deg bed and marvel at the great surface texture it produces - sticks like sh*t to a blanket on a PEI bed but you can get it off ok - so no problems with warping. You might want to dry the roll for a few hours... I didn't bother and it printed just fine. For me, Normal PETG is too shiny for art prints... but add some fibres into it and it transforms the surface finish. You will need to to calibrate the flow rate though... 0.76 factor works very nicely in my bambu - surprising - but a welcome 20% increase in usable filament on the roll.
Watching your morning vids has become a daily ritual for me when doing my own 3D print business stuff before I start my workday. Love it, keep it up. I would be shocked if you didn't hit 3K subs by the end of the month.
drop your speed down 50% filament temperature 130. after the first layers are down you can go back to normal speed. I had the same problem and fixed it this way. guaranteed to fix your problem. takes a little more time but you cannot argue with quality prints.
Absolutely do a blemish sale.... I do that with my shop... It costs me nothing... I list it with the regular item as a "color choice" of "cosmetic blemish" at a 10% discounted price. If it sells, great... I made money on something that was headed for the trash. If it doesn't sell, well, I'm no worse off.... Granted it's much easier to do with functional prints... But someone may like the different looking hair ... Art is in the eye of the beholder... So list it .. worst case it doesn't sell and you still end up junking them eventually.
I'm wondering if you have tried making your layer adhesion problem smaller? I know it's a giga, but making the print smaller means you can get feedback and changes faster. And fail forward with less expense of money and time. Good luck, keeping my fingers crossed
Some other UA-cam channel sells an enclosure made of plexiglass with doors for the Giga. You can get a WiFi power switch for the Giga and turn it on and off using Klipper. I thought that was a 24 Land Cruiser. I have a 2017 TRD Pro 4R Cement. Had a TRD Pro Tundra and FJ TT also. Love the look of the new Landcruiser with the square lights. You can run some 3D printers off that hybrid battery. lol
Hey bro I had the same issue with the rolls getting basically tangled when new from bambu in the AMS I noticed you have desiccant pots in there I found some desiccant beads behind the back roller stopping the rink let from turning smooth I would check there and see if that helps Cheers
Another fail coming on the head ..... calibrate temp, flow etc for a 1,0mm nozzle and your specific filament before you start!! A hollow, double-wall model sounds a much better bet at this mind!!
bro turn down your fan speed if you're going to print that fast. if that doesn't work bring temperature up 5° keep fan speed at half or 60%.the fan is cooling the filament to fast and not allowing it to bond to the layer underneath
If you don't want to use ring camera I made a discord channel just for watching my printer with my webcam. Just pull the app up anywhere from my phone and check in.
Also check nossle temp. Maybe its low ? Thermistor problem? It's odd as the t-rex scull worked without issue so something has changed. Possibly use same print profile as the skull ??
So much for not wanting to tinker, 😂. That giga is under extruding. I don't think it has anything to do with a draft. Is your first layer solid when you pull it off the bed? May have a partial clog. Google luck.
Nice! Excited to see how the new Moai does. I think the shower curtain is a perfect idea.

great content you're one of the only giga owners doing lots of content on the issues with getting it dialed in. keep at it!
appreciate you brother
Can it print a benchy though ....
Yes it only takes 16 kilos of filament too lol

Just FYI using a bigger nozzle also sometimes increases the amount of plastic you use. Which can make the print more expensive

Have you thought about local gun shops for the gun models? You won't have the high shipping cost.
There was a company on UA-cam , plastic company in Sacramento making the gigs enclosers. It looked pretty nice.
Morning TT People, Have a great Day
bro cardboard and duct tape will make an excellent enclosure

You should just print walls with magnetic inserts

It's the GX550 Overtrail. She upgraded from a RR Sport (truly terrible vehicle)
@@TechnicalsTinkers o even nicer but with no Hybrid battery. You must have waited a while for that. Very nice.
waiting list for 8 months i think, yea lol
The 5kg spools of pla+ was on sale last week for $50, i jumped on a few of them, the draft was not causing that lol its pla
the first layer looks massiv under extruion
Scratch and dent could be sold as paint your own.
Good stuff. I have the P1S and X1c. I'm currently working on building up some items to start listing. I like that Giga printer but its huge.

If the moai print fails do a temperature Tower. Just so you know I run 225 on the hot end and I'm running .6 nozzle
"POD had a couple bangers." 😅😅
If you don't slam the steering wheel when southtown hits, you ain't in there man
Another fail coming on the head ..... calibrate temp, flow etc for a 1,0mm nozzle and your specific filament before you start!! A hollow, double-wall model sounds a much better bet at this mind!!
Yep, the model is about 18 hours in at this point looking GOOD
Just sell them individually as rejects with each item photos of the flaw.

My guess.... dialling up your flow rate is the solution. 🎉

for the bamboo slicer issue why not just print right from orcaslicer if your allready useing it to reslice?
Having issue w bambu studio right now but with multi color shifting

You're going to run out of painter's tape.
damn those figures look like crap on etsy
hell yea
