THANK YOU
Shen has shown much growth and gracefulness throughout the years and especially on this episode of the podcast. Many people might bash Jaii for what he said but a lot of Jamaican/ Caribbean people shared the same views as him so big up to Shenseea for expressing herself and for continually giving the fans what they want ❤
Shed up groupie
Shenseea was very poised,i appreciate the fact that she didn't try to insult jaii. She explained everything so everyone could understand the path she's on and what she's about.
She needed to do so to win back her core audience. She has said and done a lot of things that left a bitter taste in their mouths. She knows a lot of people (Jamaicans) watch Jaii so she knew beforehand that she needed to maintain her poise.
Real
Batty business fuck the relationship with us
You are a disgrace to the real fans
Unlike spice
I’m American and I love Shenseea music, she is very talented. Even though I can barely understand her dialect at times I still love her sound.
One thing I will say is that every single time I see her, she is always representing her culture. As she should. I’m proud of her.
🤮
This interview was very much needed to reconnect Shen with her fans that’s been feeling disconnected. All the best Mamma!
This was beautifully constructed. Love how they both shared their points of view without any contention.
Why unuh did a expect bombshells? Unuh as Jamaicans love mix up and annomosity against our fellow people too much ... Great interview fraii 🤜
Can't say it any better
jaii aint keeping the same energy man a move like winford williams
When doing a interview you ask the person what questions they comfortable with if they tell you on you go off the script they can walk away this not the breakfast club😂😂

Shen handled herself well in this interview. She stood her ground and stuck to what she believed. She is definitely allowed to experiment with different types of music. Nothing wrong with that.
Shen is right on so many levels Jamaicans need to support each other, and stop tearing down each other.
Talktruefooball Exactly. Crabs in the barrel.🦀🇯🇲
Absolutely they tear down their own like John crow, and this is what I hate about Jamaicans with a passion,I like whatever ever genre ,shen yeng undertake ❤️❤️
The whole Caribbean. It’s crazy how where I’m from, we bawl and say the same thing.
Right message, wrong messenger. It wasn't too long ago that she said Caribbean people are dumb as sh!t and that's why American's don't F with us (like we need their validation).
As a big Shen fan since Loodi from outside Jamaica who didn't really know she was facing such criticism from Jamaicans... I think it is very legitimate. The reason I even found this is because I'm disappointed and feel she is wasting her talent and was just searching to see if the internet agrees. Not all criticism comes from a bad place. She is entirely free to do her thing but this pop music turn isn't doing her any favors... it's not very good and I doubt she is gaining fans from it, maybe just getting a bag from featuring with Americans. She should continue to do what feels right to her, but I definitely long for the return of dancehall Shenseea.
Love to see this! Jai really putting in the work and he’s getting all the good interviews with the big names. I’m happy Jai was bold and said what he said to her face and I’m happy she addressed it. Shensea is just that girl ❤♎️
Yow what wow the purpose of this interview bcuz you only make a fool a yuh self with this interview fam smh
He actally didn't say what he said, he sugarcoat what him say..
Jaii im sooo proud of you man love how you are growing in your career i know this interview with shen must be a highlight for the newyear i appreciate how shen spoke her truth and doesnt want to box herself in as an artist and our culture needs to try and understand where she is comming from lets all be patient with our dancehall princess ❤❤❤❤
I never yet doubted Shenseea everything does take time and she’s growing the fact that she can do anything that’s a plus she’s very much talented😊😊😊😊 love me some Shenseea ❤❤❤❤
😂
She can only flop if she allow herself to flop, when you are doing buisness you take risk and the only failure is when you stop pursuing your dreams.
Talk truth, you can't be too comfortable in life sometimes you got yo get uncomfortable to get things going
Not flop. In Jamaican terms. Flop is the record company America term. The gave her a loan and I’m pretty sure they didn’t make the money back off the loan.
@@starlightjones3600 still not flop at least she can learn from it, and know what to sign off on next time around, all apart of learning to become better.
@@marlenebrown3550 💯 if you want to grow.
What is flop to yall? Cause how she flop in seeing her all over doing her thing... what and how is she flop
Shen exhibits grace, class and utter femininity and it’s addictive, alluring and 100% approved. I love the modesty in her movements and the maturity in her speech! Well done …
I also saw those subtle shots that were fired 😂🧨. All in all it was an excellent interview ✨
Yes right from the start she is sitting there looking so elegant
This is a difficult conversation for any creator to have so big up yuh self Shen fi facing di fire. Love u big time ❤
Shenseea you said exactly what I wanted to say. Your versatility is so amazing and that’s why I love you 🫶🏾
I love how she explained herself and when she spoke her transition into a new place I can relate❤
Very good interview! Mi affi give Jaii him props!! U asked questions that the ppl needed to hear and she finally get to address them. 👏🏽 keep growing bro 🙌🏾💯
Fi real Shenseea don’t let anyone make you feel like you can’t explore a different genre, it’s what you feel as an artist at that moment.
Mi a Jamaican in America n mi love Shenseaa badddd ❤ ❤ yafuckk. The woman allowed to be a artist true to herself n experiment how she want. Can't box true artists in!!! Jamaican to di world
One ShenYeng🐉🔥‼️ Life involves wins and losses. It doesn’t mean we should stop dreaming and risking to fulfill them. Proud of you Shen ❤
Always loved her but this interview made me love her more! ❤ GREAT questions and she answered every one perfectly in my eyes.
First few minutes in and this is a good convo💯 Too many interviewees like to step on egg shells I'm glad the culture still has a level of transparency and authenticity it's needed WAAYYY MORE🔥💯👏🏿
Have a different level of love & ratings for Shenseea ❤. Love this interview bro 🫡💯
11:50 LOLOL!!! And that is exactly why she link up back with Rvssian!! Haha! Good girl! At least you tried to spread your wings, he allowed you to experience things yourself, learn, and hopefully you have and just deal with it proper now.
First time watching a full episode. This was honestly great 👏🏽
I think I understand her a bit more now that certain things are explained and I’m glad that she’s finding herself as a person but I hope she drop more hits and this year be prosperous for her
Jaii a kill me with this Tequilero commercial 🤦🏽♂️
I'm not a Shen music fanatic but i love & respect this woman for her amazing personality, her ambition & her momma bear attitude towards her son.❤
Shen I like the way how you constructed your words. A great talent to be reckoned with. ❤
Needed this bridge, gained a new perspective and respect for her nw.
Loved this interview 👍🏽 big up Shenseea for Hit & Run, song is definitely a hit! 🎉
Love you too Shen! Change is necessary in order to grow.❤
1.3 mil views ! Yes im from the future 🤝
Ikr the dolly can pull VIEWS!!!
I predict 500k though. It’s just a interview
Realllll, ma give it 2 weeks
Lol
Definitely not
I appreciate Shenseea's dancehall music, and I acknowledge her strategic decision to explore other genres. Artists frequently diversify their musical styles to expand their reach and appeal to a broader audience. Recognizing her pursuit of artistic growth and the exploration of different genres demonstrates a nuanced understanding of the evolving nature of the music industry. It is intriguing to witness artists like Shenseea navigating these creative transitions to engage with diverse listeners.
Facts, they will never see the bigger picture.
Exploring other genres may assist with diversifying the artist's catalog, but it doesn't always translate well when it comes to international appeal and catering to their core audience. One might consider that an artist's core identity and unique sound, which initially captivates their audience, also holds immense value. So, it is a strategic decision that requires careful consideration, as it might not always lead to a broader appeal, but could instead dilute the strength of the artist's brand if not executed with precision.
Jaii with the nice soft soap interview, next week in a Shensea music video and the week after a Demarco music video😅 Big up same way. Big up Shensea gwan do yu ting.
Excellent interview! Enjoy it from start to finish.
One ting sheng ago always push out a song fi har fans dem 🤝
Shenseea didn't believe Christina wanted to work with her she thought it was a prank because she didn't expect an huge global legendary singer like Christina Aguilera will want to work with her so early in her career so after blessed rebel hit and run and can say u have an song with an legend like Christina! Shenseea reaching places!!!❤
Rihanna, has never trashed her Bajan people. She instead held up her island folks and took them on her journey. That's the reason why she's the Ambassador for her country even as she's very much a resident of America. Way to many Artist like Shenseea, seem to have the mentality that we're suppose to support their success irregardless of how they treat us. That mentality has played out. Respect is given when it's exercised.
❤❤❤❤😊
This was a good interview and I got to see a different side of shenseea. Personally always been a supporter and tbh it’s true we don’t support her as much as Jamaican because of what we think she should be doing. Nonetheless she’s done a lot most artist would dream of and I’ll continue to support her and hope she makes it to where she wants to go in her career
Jaii this interview has nothing to do with what "YOU" said about her. Its all about how Rvssian dent up dem ego on ur podcast...so of course she hav to try damage control. Fling stone behind har n dash weh har stick before she cross the river look how she have to come crawling back to her roots....I remember all her interviews wat she said about Jamaicans, dancehall and the works....look at you now 😂😂😂😂😂
Continued guidance and support from her beloved mom
I love this interview and shen know exactly how to win us Jamaican back ❤
I don’t think he necessarily nervous. But he not in his setting with his setup. I think he did good just ppl used to him in a different set up shoulder to shoulder with the guest. Them face to face made it intense 😂
Lies...the interview with Russian, different space and his demeanor was the same Jaii we know; but like you said, the face2face made it intense.
Shensea spoke up very well and was very clear about what she is about . She is unique and will take her own time to do her own journey
Dis yute really is a system groupie not credible not genuine. Mi stop watch him show as of now..
Mi did luv shenseea bad back inna di day. But mi see right thru this interview. Don’t come pandering to us now. Keep the same energy about your dancehall fans. 🤷🏾♀️ wish her well always tho.
Jail did a good job staying firm and getting answers. 🤍
true
Shenseea’a soul is so calm and pure💯
Some reflection is needed on her part. Who are you as an artist mama? You keep hearing the same thing from your fans. Constructive criticism comes because we see a potential in you, you cannot see. Take accountability, reevaluate and act on the feedback. Weh yah do naw work girl. Listen to rass wi!🇯🇲🇯🇲
Truth i agree she a try justify everything...the Sean paul and Shaggy thing no relevant BOb Marley is an icon and me never stop..... do Reggae...
Atleast jaii nuh change up him views wen him deh round shen shen....respect fi dat
This watch was such a tender experience. She's so beautiful and gentle!
I like this interview a lot of things were said and clear up big up u self shen gwannn repp fi Jamaica
Awww..Love you too, Shenseea. Do you girl. I see and know you always representing Jamaica 🇯🇲 hard . Your happiness comes first. The haters will join the wagon when it is convenient, so don't watch them . Keep going . #blessings
AMEN and well said. The crabs will join the wagon when it's convenient.🦀🦀🇯🇲
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
She handled this interview extremely well . Big up Shenseea 🔥🔥🔥
The “TEQUILERO” AD tho😅
Shenseea! Just keep doing yo ting. People will criticize, but you represent 💯. And if you did ‘flop’, how you get to where you are! Keep the music coming regardless
I am from St Kitts and I think we want the songs performed longer. Sometimes the artist wants to sing every single song they have but it’s not possible. Give us a solid minute or minute and a half…
Jaii has said so many good things about shenseea but as Jamaicans we tend to run with the negatives and we need to fix that. He's literally a fan of that girl. Artists need to be open to constructive criticisms as well and to the yes man dem and the followers out there just like how unu can crop out the negatives and send to ppl send the positive things as well man. Jaii watch shenseea cook, him love har physique why unu neva run wid dat? Big up let's be honest and gwaan do yu ting yute.
Shenseea is absolutely right to do what she is doing career wise here because that is what growth is about 👏🏾.
Step out of the box , do something different & step away from the “Old School stuff” that made you because there is always new tings to come out with 👌🏾
We needed this interview❤ thanks for the clarity
Nothing wrong with someone who is trying to grow! She always representing but you have to try new things sometimes. She never did go anywhere she has always been here!
Everything takes time she's one of my fav biggest fan Dem ❤❤❤
Big up Sheng Yeng love you like life just not into some of the thing you do🙏🙏🙏🙏
Big up let’s be honest 🔥🔥🔥🔥
🌴well well well!!!🌴 😂💅🏽🐉💅🏽😂💅🏽🐉💅🏽😂

Shen needs to understand the quickest way for her to go international is to do dancehall songs! Keep doing songs like shenyeng anthem, side chick and hit and run of late. Eventually one of them will crossover like Kartel fever or beenie zimma did. This is quicker than trying to be American. They will never accept you caaz they already have too many young females artists with that same sound you are trying to emulate. It’s oversaturated!! Stick to your roots and you’ll win big💪💪
Right! I don’t know why she felt the need to change her sound to cross over… but I guess she wanted to try it out
if shordy wa do pop she is 100% free to do pop. nobody nah comment bout uno personal choices and decisions why uno feel like other people don't have the right to exercise that as well? everybody have different dreams and goals for themselves.....
Exactly those songs and sound is what make her different from the others in America doing the same won’t make her stand out
I@@melloxox1 even when she just explain unuh still come back with the same question
What do you know about the quickest way to cross over, Have you crossed over before?
Be quiet
Africans are supporting their artists way better than the Caribbeans are. Dancehall should be as big as afrobeats and amapiano!
Mad respect fi this lady…….. she’s very ambitious and it shows 👏👏
Remember she said she doesn’t want to do dancehall anymore and now she’s ready to jump on the new dancehall beats. Kmt
Shenseea nah admit to her mistakes but you see how much things she correct in one month 1.follow Rvssian 2.drop a dancehall song 3.do a jamaica interview pan a hot podcast but jay star struck nah feel the interview like the others
Exactly. I feel like all of this has been a PR move for her, including this interview.
Bingo! Plenty corrective actions but I hope the fans accept her with open arms.

Brilliant interview, both Jaii and Shensea done well

😂😂😂😂😂
Bwoy mi love shenseea she's so polite ,elegant and hardworking continue to represent our country ❤️
Yo the daeg a blush quietly in the fir part 😅😅... she sweet fi real still .
Y'all gotta understand......Jamaica is a small country. Shen understands that if she wants to be big like Rihanna (her role model i think) she has to attract a market outside of Jamaica as well. It's more profitable for her to become a hit in the US than staying in Ja alone so that's most likely what she is trying to do.
Bwoi Jaii this a interview yaah a get a million views in 2 weeks' watch!
Ah round of applause for jai 👏 good interview 👏 very professional definitely time and place for everything and u displayed that in this interview.
Its not even about her talent! She is a ambassador for the FISH TANK. SHAKE OUT
Tbh when Shensea was transitioning to international levels she set the expectation that she was going to be doing her big one to the point where she went live and said she does not fk with caribbean fans n Frankly does not need our support. PUFF HER CHEST!!! Basically so in the end the expectations were high. The songs so far arent as well constructed and its not any hate I am huge shensea fan its just a case where if she gonna have ghost writer or sumptn they need to write for her style its giving weak.
Dat tequila commercial hitting lol ah feel like I know that beat now 😂

Shans is media trained. Loved the interview.
Missed her so much❤️❤️❤️ Glad she’s back 🙃🙃
Love how him clear the air and basically lay out why and how he saw her as a flop being that none of the songs she was putting out were going anywhere and as soon as she did back a song based within the context of Jamaican dancehall / reggae back again
Jaii I remember a podcast when u were debating on the flop album and now yah seh it was a great album😂😂😂di man get cold feet😂
Creds gawn🔥🔥🔥
he said the album was good but the numbers were a flop
A prophet is never honored in his country. Jamaicans should be proud of this jewel. It hard to be a mega star and sometimes one has to crossover just a little bit into mainstream for the brand to grow. This girl sings, raps, and spits that patwa. She is a triple threat and well rounded. She can hold her own on any track. She is the REAL BUSINESS!!! Finally she is MARKETABLE. It’s called music business or entertainment business.
My only concern was that the interview was cut short
His posture shows he’s nervousness and simpish
It's always good to try new things to see where your mind is right or at so that's just it nothing is wrong do you, and there's always something to learn about.
