SK CultureXchange Volunteers build friendships and contribute to a welcoming and inclusive community

SK CultureXchange volunteer Amy describes the benefits of participating in the program. She says it is an opportunity for both participant and volunteer to celebrate similarities and understand differences, build friendships, and highlight the beauty of diversity and inclusion. Each session is meaningful and provided growth opportunities professionally and personally. She points out that volunteers help contribute to a more welcoming and inclusive community while developing leadership and intercultural skills.
SK CultureXchange Program is a cultural partnership between newcomers and established residents of Saskatchewan. Newcomers will be able to foster a sense of belonging. Locals will have the opportunity to connect with newcomers to develop friendships, learn/share about their community and what it has to offer, and practice communication skills.
