It’s very disappointing and depressing. I’m just now (for like 5 years I guess after I gave up after the “sequels” that I don’t consider “head canon” 😂) diving into the “Legends”, I have read Plagueiss, I have read dark lord rise of Darth Vader and some other things like the ROTS novelization which all three were amazing and a book with Xi’zor I forgot the name Of awhile back, I loved them ALL! If they keep doing this nonsense, I will just continue to keep going over the AMAZING EU stuff that Disney is so desperately trying to destroy. Thank you once again Theory. God bless homie 🫡
They cancelled Ray Park for garbage allegations and have basically ghosted and ignored Temuera since he rightfully criticized the writing and directing choices for The Book of Boba Fett. Lucasfilm, Kennedy, and Filoni can all go Force themselves.
Most original actors are too old to return in any way. The main problem is they can't write a good story around established good characters, or even create new good characters. It's few and far between.
He was the best part of the show. His arc was the only arc I was interested in continuing. Is he about to face The Son? That would be wild! Everyone else felt like a cheaper version od what we have gotten before. Especially Thrawn.
The sad reality is ahsoka was the lowest viewed show by the finale before acolyte (ahsoka 6 million for finale, acolyte less than 4), Star Wars is dead to the casual audience
And for anyone wondering, Ahsokas finale had about 6 million viewers. This was all calculated by Thor Skywalker, who did a big breakdown on all the shows viewer ships and how they’ve been steadily dropping off. He used Nielsen, samba and other streaming metrics to calculate the most accurate numbers

Except for the last two episodes, I thought the writing of the ahsoka show was quite good, and I think it's going to be good in the second season as well.
Screen writers as well, I showed this show to some of my friends and family, first time watchers. And they were completely confused from beginning to the end I had to explain to them who they were and lore and why they are doing what they are doing. This show has many flaws, they need to do a better job at introducing who the characters are like in Mandon season 1. If season 2 is a movie or whatever, it will lose alot of people and people will not show up.

Unfortunately soo much of who they are and their character arc was done in rebels and clone wars so it's pointless watching the show if you haven't seen them unfortunately. The only reason Jon and Dave got away with Luke was when they were flying under the radar and pulled a fast one on KK when she was busy with other stuff. Mark my words: We will NEVER see Luke again while KK is in power. EVER. After the fan outcry at his return (Theory's himself especially) and Gina's ousting it's been nothing but sabotage. They will never allow it. Remember the way that fat idiot Pablo Hidalgo responded to the positive reception? Well that was the mildest reaction. Every woman was at least 10x worse and they all ran to KK and told her how "problematic" and misogynistic/patriarchal it supposedly was. It doesn't matter what Dave wants now. He has been brought to heel and will do what KK commands plus Jon exited (cuz he has that luxury and had to stand by Gina who was his hire). Jon took his original scripts, everything Mando season 3 and after was written by A.I. by Dave under Favreau's name and with hawk like oversight and notes from KK and the Story Group. Dave is alone, outranked and outgunned. He's a puppet now and will be forced to continue to destroy his and George's creations for his paycheque.
I introduced my 20 yo sister to the original 6 _Star Wars_ films for the first time about a month or so ago. After that we watched _Obi-Wan Kenobi,_ because Obi-Wan has become one of her favourite characters in cinema (specifically Ewan's portrayal of the character). She said she liked the show, but she really didn't like Reva as a character lol. She said Reva's motives didn't make any sense. 😂😂 Anyways, now we're watching _The Clone Wars,_ and she seems to be enjoying it a whole lot more than _Obi-Wan Kenobi._
The Kenobi series was terrible. It wasn’t even about him. He was just a stale afterthought while they shined the spotlight on Reva and young leia. Ironically the writing was so subpar that people still cared wag more about Obi Wan even if he was just just a hollow shell of his former character.

Star Wars is statistically at the lowest its ever been, its reputation BY FAR the worst its ever been, arguably one of the most "look how far you've fallen" franchises in the history of entertainment. Ahsoka not only fails to resonate with the majority of mainstream audiences because she's not really a mainstream appeal, her show's first season underperformed big time, it's one of LucasFilm's worst performing shows. As it stands, S2 has no chance.
I’m so sick of seeing my beloved franchises fall into utter horseshit, like how you e said about Star Wars and Disney’s mismanagement is similar to Halo. 343 has killed the franchise completely, I have no hopes and expectations for the future of the franchise and it truly hurts my soul as halo was one of my favorite pieces of media, well written story that had so much potential that was squandered. Same with Star Wars if Disney had done what George wanted the sequels could have been SO great. Disney also has a largely untapped gold mine with the old republic. I’d love to see more represent the old republic (not with Disney ofc)
@Promethean7771 Yeah, the Old Republic rocks (at least after the Dawn and Tales of the Jedi comics, I find those bad), my favorite Star Wars era, the KOTOR comic series, the books and short stories and the 3 games are peak SW. If you're interested in kind of a Star Wars alternative might I suggest one? Check out Mass Effect, you will love it. Was 343's Halo really THAT bad? I haven't read the Halo books but I've played most games (everything except Wars 2 and Infinite, even played the Spartan games) and watched the films and show, I never got a good grasp of the world building as Halo does a lot of environmental storytelling and enhancements through novels so I always felt like I never truly got the full picture and missed things. I disliked the Spartan games and Combat Evolved, found 4 and 5 OK and loved 2, 3, Reach, ODST and Wars. What would you say was Halo's downfall that made you dislike it that much?
@ 343 when they first started was a company full of non halo fans who wanted to change halo away from being halo. Especially in halo 4 they changed the art style so badly, it was like they were trying to g to erase bungie. Halo 5’s story was horrible to me at least because the marketing and trailers for the campaign completely lied about what its story was about. There are some parts of the campaign I like, but most of Halo 5’s story I did not enjoy. They got better by infinite but infinite was a incomplete game that had horrible de-sync issues, ftp item shop purchases (like Call of Duty/Fortnite bundles) and barely any new weapons to the sandbox. It’s just that 343 has under delivered or tried to make halo into something that really isn’t halo for their entire existence, so that’s why I’d say halo has kinda died because of them. Just like with Star Wars I think the franchises need New Leads and a better direction that doesn’t go against what the fans want.

If Disney does decide to end Ahsoka after Season 2, I just hope that the series gets to complete its story. It would be a real shame if Ahsoka gets cancelled while ending on a cliffhanger.

Andor is the last thing I’m excited for SW wise. Bad Batch is over, Clone Wars is over. Ahsoka could be great, but Thrawn better be a fricking genius and Luke better be a main character in the show. They won’t do that so it’ll probably be mid.

Filoni also can’t stop copying Tolkien’s work, literally with Ahsoka “The White”, Disneyfied Wargs, and literally putting The Argonath in there too. Filoni is a fraud who took too much credit for The Clone Wars when it was basically all George. Filoni needs to make it all about his characters. Ahsoka over Luke, Fennec and Cad Bane over Boba, Jango, Bossk. Dengar, etc, his annoying Rebels crew over Han, Leia, and Chewbacca, etc.
To be fair, there really wasn't anybody like Luke or Anakin short some of the very top Jedis on the council. But if we're being honest, Ezra Bridger has his own niche power, and he really can do a lot, considering he his advanced ability for Beast language. I actually imagine Ezra will become a member of Luke's School in more capacities than just a student. I mean Ezra did single-handedly lead the winning battle against the most feared Grand Admiral in the Empire. I don't agree with you that Ezra is not of high enough caliber to make a difference. He beat him once he can beat him again
I love how you're still so hopeful of seeing Luke Skywalker in Ashoka Season 2. Don't think they'll do it though Theory. They'll focus on Ashoka and Sabine being stuck on Peridea and getting back. I swear if they manage to get back to their universe in just an episode or two...
One thing to also keep in mind is that Season 2 of Ahsoka is really just the other half of Season 1. It's possible most of it was already completed long before they announced that the show was canceled. All they have to do is a final finish production episode or two to wrap up the story (or try to) and call it a day. It's not always the case with Disney SW because they can operate in a mini-series format (essentially trying to spread out as much as possible with hit-or-miss series), but Hollywood has a tendency to create 12-20 episodes of a show before it gets canned. Then divide it up and say that it's "Two Seasons." If there were any issues with the first 8 episodes with Ahsoka, it's probably not going to be fixed in the next several episodes. This happened with Star Trek in the past, where they used to have seven actual seasons with over 170 episodes just for one series. Now, a show can have "Five Seasons" but has around 60 episodes instead.
This is actually sad because I liked Ashoka. The first season had its hiccups, but I prefer it over the Acolyte. Hopefully, they will make the much needed improvements and expand upon season one.
There’s also the Dave Filoni movie coming out. Prediction: We might get Ahsoka Season 2 (early 2026), Mando&Grogu by Jon Favreau (May 2026), and then the Filoni film (May 2027). They might even make a third movie, bringing everything together, avengers-endgame style, creating the real sequel-trilogy, kind of like the heir of Empire book trilogy.
I’m afraid its too late. Lucasfilm has shown no intent of changing their directive, despite years and years of fan frustration and criticism and if they somehow miraculously manage to churn out a golden egg amongst a field of shit, there will nobody left to care. Most real Star Wars fans have become completely indifferent to the IP and Lucasfilm execs are still too busy sniffing their own farts and appealing to Blackrock investors to notice.
Can I just get a 30-50 minute conversation between Luke and Anakin Skywalker. Ahsoka can be the intermediary, but we need this as a fandom. I need this. And it we could get it, then I wouldn't need anything else from Star Wars as long as I live.
Personally I feel like as a fan there should be a respect that some things should just be left alone, no matter how interesting they are to *THINK* about. I feel like Luke knowing, sensing, and hearing about his father's legacy is enough. Luke DID talk with Anakin face to face on the Death Star - anything more than that would be distracting and degrading to the significance of that. The more we get wrapped up in imagining unnecessary extra connections between things, the more we lose track of the connections that already exist (or don't need to exist). What we really need is solid NEW content and a whole new direction. Truly respecting something means letting some things about it remain unexplained or unknown, and instead using the lessons learned from that thing to move on with other things in life etc (in this case new stories and characters). Star Wars WILL continued struggling to find itself again until it learns to stop referencing itself constantly for cameos and fan service.

Of course is cool to see Luke knowing about his father in other ways but the reality is that in canon i don't know many people that can do that to Luke (and Disney dosen't really is putting Luke in th spot light to future projects)

The Star Wars brand is essentially dead but would be easily resuscitated with one banger of a movie that captures the feeling of the OT (and it doesn’t have to have anything to do with old characters). People want that “feeling”.

Hopefully them writing season 2 like if it’s the last will make them go all out on proper storytelling. It worked with Andor where a season 2 wasn’t promised and with that first season they told one hell of a story.
I liked Ahsoka. I liked Kenobi (the fan-edit was better, though). I liked Andor. Look, ALL they need to do is put out one, MAYBE two movies telling and ending the Heir to the Empire storyline. Bring together all the show characters (Ahsoka, Ezra, Mando, etc.) and have a final battle to wrap of the story. Do that, then let SW rest for a few years. It will work and fans get to have it both ways. Most fans will be able to let the story end with the end of Thrawn while those who liked the Sequel trilogy can pretend the story went on afterwards. Literally everybody ends.
yeah i didn't think that this was news. there needs to be a season 2 because it ended with some cliffhangers. then i assumed the mando verse would all come together in the movie.
I don't care what anyone says but I really hope that if Ahsoka does end up having her own show end very soon after Season 2, I'll be fine with that. Just so long as if they finish it with well written execution and it does not rely too much on fan service as much as the Mandalorian S2 did.
Ironically the only thing I didn’t really like about Ahsoka, was Ahsoka herself lol. I get that she’s older and thus more mature, wise and stoic but I’d like to see at least snipbits of the bubbly, impulsive personality that’s in animation when she’s younger.
it's like trying to hold water in your hands, the more you try to hang on, the more it slips out of your grasp. If Di$ney ever learns to let their IPs breathe, and not just force them to be cash cows, they might actually see some box office success. George had a definitive plan for his original trilogy, which was originally gonna be one more, but became so big it got split into three. Not only that, but George also took 2.5/3 years between each movie to film the next one properly, go over scripts with actors/directors, and all the other technical stuff, and even still each movie pushed him to his limits.
I loved Ahsoka. I know it had issues, specifically with Sabine’s story. But it was a worthy continuation to Star Wars Rebels. I really hope season 2 sees the light of day.

This series was far from perfect and had many issues. But at least it was mostly entertaining. Which is more than you can say about most of their Star Wars projects. So I hope Ahsoka can actually develop into something decent. It has plenty of potential.
Look what Dave Filoni is doing with Ahsoka and Mandolorian is probably some of the best we have in Disney Star Wars. He’s at least mostly faithful to everything George has created. Obi Wan and Acolyte are not. Disney needs to put more of their money in Filonis projects
I don't agree with your sentiment about Ezra being "nothing." He had terrific growth and development during Rebels, and has since been spending time growing with the force across the galaxy. His ability to control animals was something powerful and not seen before.
Surprisingly many people have no idea that the Ahsoka and Ezra characters originally come from rebels (because of the cartoon = for kids mindset). Sure the first season of that show was pretty rough but its finale season is some of my favorite star wars out there. The live action failings are due to writing issues, which is common for current star wars unfortunately.
Imagine being a veteran movie industry executive, in control of the Star Wars ip, and there’s a kid on UA-cam who started a Star Wars channel, and ABSOLUTELY TAKES YOU TO SCHOOL on how to tell a story! …and how to build a proper lightsaber replica… and has more connection to the fans…. AND made a 16 minute fanfilm that is more interesting than your entire portfolio since the purchase of Lucasfilm 😂😂😂😂 God bless Theory 🙏🏼💯
I'm gonna be honest... I miss the days of looking forward to Star Wars content. I mean even Jedi: Fallen Order, Mando Season 1/2, hell even the hype for Force Awakens. Disney is just making it so hard to be a fan when they keep pumping out content that they want to be profitable, not story-driven. I really hope there will be some day in the near future where there's a movie that gets as much love and excitement as the prequels for me.
Profitability isn't even the goal! The political propaganda Bob Iger and Kathleen Kennedy pushed AND CONTINUE PUSHING, is the goal! If Disney and Lucasfilm want to profit, the companies need good characters and good stories that will draw an audience, not Mary Sue self-inserts acting out Kathleen Kennedy's power fantasies.
My daughter (literally) grew up with Ahsoka. Loved the character, knew all the lore, has all the merch, was fine with Dawson's appearance. But when she was that stoic, blank faced, low-energy, arms-folded performance in Mando, she declared "That's not Ahsoka", and that was her completely out. She never even watched the show. I can't figure out who is.

I’m 44 and was a Star Wars nut. I own every single EU novel (real EU pre Disney). Lizzo and Jack Black in Mando was the straw that broke the camel’s back for me. I’ve watched nothing since. I’ve just gone back to real EU books, comics and the first 6 films. I pray that one day it will be sold, the current cannon scrapped and Star Wars goes back to being what it once was. I live in hope.
Baylan Skoll should be recasted with Gerard Butler. He has the range to do it. He is also close in height, age, and even looks similar to Ray Stevenson. Especially with a beard. Go look at Ray as Volstagg and Gerard as Stoick in the new live action HTTYD. They look so similar.

Ahsoka Season 1 was good. That being said, it did have a lot working against it and it did have some serious pains it had to get past-- But I feel by the end of the season, it was successful.
personally i loved ahsoka. It wasn't a perfect show but it had so many great moments. As long as Dave has the helmet I feel it will continue in a good way and with luck have a good ending with a well rounded story season 2 and with luck a good season 3.
Don't know i wanna star wars to be great again. It might sound cringe but disney took a big part out of my life. It just hurts. We grew up with it put so much passion and time in it for them to make us feel bad and down whenever there is somethjng to do with it again. Your film kinda helps a lot. Ezra's character is legitimately in a bad place thanks to Ahsoka. It seems like he's going to be thrown on the sidelines like Hera, and Sabine and Ahsoka are going to get all the character development.
I still don’t think Rosario is a good fit for Ahsoka. Ahsoka is my favourite character and she’s so different in character and has literally no personality in this show or an arc. Sabine is annoying and literally gets away Scott free with releasing Thrawn onto the galaxy
I thought I was the only one who felt this way! I'm sorry to say I was very underwhelmed by Rosario's performance. It was uninspired. On the other hand, I thought the young actress who was in the Clone Wars flash back did an amazing job.

She has the looks to play Old Lady Ahsoka, but they cast a low energy, physically inept character actress in a role that _had no character_ written for it, as an action lead who absolutely needed to bring passion and high energy. Yes, _even if_ you argue that the character of Ahsoka was heading that way - I'm talking about what the lead character in an action show has to deliver, if you want to build and keep an audience.
Sabine is literally a Rey 2.0 with a Portland Pronoun SJW haircut. She’ll probably have a septum piercing in Season 2. Surprised they didn’t cast Greta Thunberg to play Sabine. Would’ve been the perfect choice. “How dare you Thrawn! How dare you!”

It's just his crossover to live action has been both hits and misses. Things that look good animated don't always translate to live action well, so I hope him asking for G. He's not CEO, as CCO he does get to have some say and try to bring people he wants, but Kathleen Kennedy has final say on what can be put out and who does them. He doesn't get to sign the checks for the shows, how much they can get and who gets to write and direct them. As far as him being a writer/live action director, as long as he keeps expanding on G. Lucas' story it should he fine. Telling that story is way different from animation just becuase of all the restrictions of live action. So hopefully John favereu and G. Lucas' give him the assistance.
The entire show had way too much hype, as if it was something original and innovative. When really, it was so mediocre full of non existing stakes, wooden acting, nonsensical choices that made no sense whatsoever, And the amount of plot armor the main characters have is beyond ridiculous. Not to mention, they made Thrawn an idiot for no reason.
They're 100% going to make Sabine and Shin a couple. Just watch. Lucasfilm is only going to double down on the woke garbage after The Acolyte. They have nothing but activists at Lucasfilm these days.

Screen writers as well, I showed this show to some of my friends and family, first time watchers. And they were completely confused from beginning to the end I had to explain to them who they were and lore and why they are doing what they are doing. This show has many flaws, they need to do a better job at introducing who the characters are like in Mandon season 1. If season 2 is a movie or whatever, it will lose alot of people and people will not show up.

I introduced my 20 yo sister to the original 6 _Star Wars_ films for the first time about a month or so ago.
After that we watched _Obi-Wan Kenobi,_ because Obi-Wan has become one of her favourite characters in cinema (specifically Ewan's portrayal of the character). She said she liked the show, but she really didn't like Reva as a character lol. She said Reva's motives didn't make any sense. 😂😂
Anyways, now we're watching _The Clone Wars,_ and she seems to be enjoying it a whole lot more than _Obi-Wan Kenobi._
The Kenobi series was terrible. It wasn’t even about him. He was just a stale afterthought while they shined the spotlight on Reva and young leia. Ironically the writing was so subpar that people still cared wag more about Obi Wan even if he was just just a hollow shell of his former character.

Star Wars is statistically at the lowest its ever been, its reputation BY FAR the worst its ever been, arguably one of the most "look how far you've fallen" franchises in the history of entertainment. Ahsoka not only fails to resonate with the majority of mainstream audiences because she's not really a mainstream appeal, her show's first season underperformed big time, it's one of LucasFilm's worst performing shows. As it stands, S2 has no chance.

Was 343's Halo really THAT bad? I haven't read the Halo books but I've played most games (everything except Wars 2 and Infinite, even played the Spartan games) and watched the films and show, I never got a good grasp of the world building as Halo does a lot of environmental storytelling and enhancements through novels so I always felt like I never truly got the full picture and missed things. I disliked the Spartan games and Combat Evolved, found 4 and 5 OK and loved 2, 3, Reach, ODST and Wars. What would you say was Halo's downfall that made you dislike it that much?
@ 343 when they first started was a company full of non halo fans who wanted to change halo away from being halo. Especially in halo 4 they changed the art style so badly, it was like they were trying to g to erase bungie. Halo 5’s story was horrible to me at least because the marketing and trailers for the campaign completely lied about what its story was about. There are some parts of the campaign I like, but most of Halo 5’s story I did not enjoy. They got better by infinite but infinite was a incomplete game that had horrible de-sync issues, ftp item shop purchases (like Call of Duty/Fortnite bundles) and barely any new weapons to the sandbox. It’s just that 343 has under delivered or tried to make halo into something that really isn’t halo for their entire existence, so that’s why I’d say halo has kinda died because of them. Just like with Star Wars I think the franchises need New Leads and a better direction that doesn’t go against what the fans want.

This is what happens when you caste out your hardcore fans, because this ain't 80s where causal viwers have limited options.
One thing to also keep in mind is that Season 2 of Ahsoka is really just the other half of Season 1. It's possible most of it was already completed long before they announced that the show was canceled. All they have to do is a final finish production episode or two to wrap up the story (or try to) and call it a day. It's not always the case with Disney SW because they can operate in a mini-series format (essentially trying to spread out as much as possible with hit-or-miss series), but Hollywood has a tendency to create 12-20 episodes of a show before it gets canned. Then divide it up and say that it's "Two Seasons." If there were any issues with the first 8 episodes with Ahsoka, it's probably not going to be fixed in the next several episodes.
This happened with Star Trek in the past, where they used to have seven actual seasons with over 170 episodes just for one series. Now, a show can have "Five Seasons" but has around 60 episodes instead.
We have Star Wars, and we have Disney Star Wars. Im a fan of Star Wars, not the Disney trash.

There’s also the Dave Filoni movie coming out. Prediction: We might get Ahsoka Season 2 (early 2026), Mando&Grogu by Jon Favreau (May 2026), and then the Filoni film (May 2027). They might even make a third movie, bringing everything together, avengers-endgame style, creating the real sequel-trilogy, kind of like the heir of Empire book trilogy.

Lucasfilm has shown no intent of changing their directive, despite years and years of fan frustration and criticism and if they somehow miraculously manage to churn out a golden egg amongst a field of shit, there will nobody left to care. I always assumed the plan was to do 2 seasons of Ahsoka and then transition to Dave's movie.
Can I just get a 30-50 minute conversation between Luke and Anakin Skywalker. Ahsoka can be the intermediary, but we need this as a fandom. I need this. And it we could get it, then I wouldn't need anything else from Star Wars as long as I live.
Personally I feel like as a fan there should be a respect that some things should just be left alone, no matter how interesting they are to *THINK* about. I feel like Luke knowing, sensing, and hearing about his father's legacy is enough. Luke DID talk with Anakin face to face on the Death Star - anything more than that would be distracting and degrading to the significance of that. The more we get wrapped up in imagining unnecessary extra connections between things, the more we lose track of the connections that already exist (or don't need to exist). What we really need is solid NEW content and a whole new direction. Truly respecting something means letting some things about it remain unexplained or unknown, and instead using the lessons learned from that thing to move on with other things in life etc (in this case new stories and characters). Star Wars WILL continued struggling to find itself again until it learns to stop referencing itself constantly for cameos and fan service.

Hopefully them writing season 2 like if it’s the last will make them go all out on proper storytelling. It worked with Andor where a season 2 wasn’t promised and with that first season they told one hell of a story.
I liked Ahsoka. I liked Kenobi (the fan-edit was better, though). I liked Andor. Look, ALL they need to do is put out one, MAYBE two movies telling and ending the Heir to the Empire storyline. Bring together all the show characters (Ahsoka, Ezra, Mando, etc.) and have a final battle to wrap of the story.
Do that, then let SW rest for a few years. It will work and fans get to have it both ways. Most fans will be able to let the story end with the end of Thrawn while those who liked the Sequel trilogy can pretend the story went on afterwards. Literally everybody ends.

yeah i didn't think that this was news. there needs to be a season 2 because it ended with some cliffhangers. then i assumed the mando verse would all come together in the movie.
I don't care what anyone says but I really hope that if Ahsoka does end up having her own show end very soon after Season 2, I'll be fine with that. Just so long as if they finish it with well written execution and it does not rely too much on fan service as much as the Mandalorian S2 did.

it's like trying to hold water in your hands, the more you try to hang on, the more it slips out of your grasp. If Di$ney ever learns to let their IPs breathe, and not just force them to be cash cows, they might actually see some box office success.
George had a definitive plan for his original trilogy, which was originally gonna be one more, but became so big it got split into three. Not only that, but George also took 2.5/3 years between each movie to film the next one properly, go over scripts with actors/directors, and all the other technical stuff, and even still each movie pushed him to his limits.
I'm genuinely puzzled how anyone enjoyed the Ahsoka show, it was bantha shit.

This series was far from perfect and had many issues. But at least it was mostly entertaining. Which is more than you can say about most of their Star Wars projects.

Surprisingly many people have no idea that the Ahsoka and Ezra characters originally come from rebels (because of the cartoon = for kids mindset). Sure the first season of that show was pretty rough but its finale season is some of my favorite star wars out there. I'm gonna be honest... I miss the days of looking forward to Star Wars content. I mean even Jedi: Fallen Order, Mando Season 1/2, hell even the hype for Force Awakens. Disney is just making it so hard to be a fan when they keep pumping out content that they want to be profitable, not story-driven. I really hope there will be some day in the near future where there's a movie that gets as much love and excitement as the prequels for me.
Profitability isn't even the goal! The political propaganda Bob Iger and Kathleen Kennedy pushed AND CONTINUE PUSHING, is the goal! If Disney and Lucasfilm want to profit, the companies need good characters and good stories that will draw an audience, not Mary Sue self-inserts acting out Kathleen Kennedy's power fantasies.

My daughter (literally) grew up with Ahsoka. Loved the character, knew all the lore, has all the merch, was fine with Dawson's appearance. But when she was that stoic, blank faced, low-energy, arms-folded performance in Mando, she declared "That's not Ahsoka", and that was her completely out. She never even watched the show. I can't figure out who is.
She's %100 right. Old lady curmudgeon boomer Ahsoka Tano is a horrible character. I started watching this show and never finished it. It's BORING.

After WBW scene with Anakin she came back to her old self but because of Thrawn she didn't have much time to talk, to casually express herself. She's also adult, she prioritize mission and safety of others over childish behavior.

Of all the complaints you can make about Disney's handling of Star Wars, Ashoka acting her age isn't one of them.

I actually liked season 1 of ahsoka despite its flaws
same. i liked ezra and thrawn. and of course ray... he brought so much to that show and it's so unfortunate that he has passed.he was arguably the most interesting character and all of his scenes were so fun to watch, he just had a commanding aura.

Filoni is a fraud who took way too much credit for The Clone Wars. Ahsoka used to be a great character until Filoni made her unstoppable and refused to kill her off. She’s getting close to a diet Rey now, and man Rosario was a huge miscast. Wooden, no emotion, and stiffer than a log when handling a lightsaber.

I’m 44 and was a Star Wars nut. I own every single EU novel (real EU pre Disney). Lizzo and Jack Black in Mando was the straw that broke the camel’s back for me. I’ve watched nothing since. I’ve just gone back to real EU books, comics and the first 6 films.
I pray that one day it will be sold, the current cannon scrapped and Star Wars goes back to being what it once was.
I live in hope.
Baylan Skoll should be recasted with Gerard Butler. He has the range to do it. He is also close in height, age, and even looks similar to Ray Stevenson. Especially with a beard. Go look at Ray as Volstagg and Gerard as Stoick in the new live action HTTYD. They look so similar.

@rogerborg true. But Disney dollars are quite persuasive lol. And I liked Ahsoka. Could have been better and certain things should have been removed, but I liked it. And the reason why it had low viewership was due to Mando season 3. That failure stung. Just like how Solo flopped because of Ep. 8.

Ahsoka Season 1 was good. That being said, it did have a lot working against it and it did have some serious pains it had to get past-- But I feel by the end of the season, it was successful.

personally i loved ahsoka. It wasn't a perfect show but it had so many great moments. As long as Dave has the helmet I feel it will continue in a good way and with luck have a good ending with a well rounded story season 2 and with luck a good season 3.

I still don’t think Rosario is a good fit for Ahsoka. Ahsoka is my favourite character and she’s so different in character and has literally no personality in this show or an arc. Sabine is annoying and literally gets away Scott free with releasing Thrawn onto the galaxy
I thought I was the only one who felt this way! I'm sorry to say I was very underwhelmed by Rosario's performance. It was uninspired. On the other hand, I thought the young actress who was in the Clone Wars flash back did an amazing job.

She has the looks to play Old Lady Ahsoka, but they cast a low energy, physically inept character actress in a role that _had no character_ written for it, as an action lead who absolutely needed to bring passion and high energy. Yes, _even if_ you argue that the character of Ahsoka was heading that way - I'm talking about what the lead character in an action show has to deliver, if you want to build and keep an audience.

@mccleandazza4618 i don't think he is a hack, but you're entitled to your opinion. He has a good vision in story telling, especially in animated form and his projects. It's just his crossover to live action has been both hits and misses. Things that look good animated don't always translate to live action well, so I hope him asking for G. Lucas feedback will help his stories be told clearly.

He's not CEO, as CCO he does get to have some say and try to bring people he wants, but Kathleen Kennedy has final say on what can be put out and who does them. He doesn't get to sign the checks for the shows, how much they can get and who gets to write and direct them. As far as him being a writer/live action director, as long as he keeps expanding on G. Lucas' story it should he fine. Telling that story is way different from animation just becuase of all the restrictions of live action. So hopefully John favereu and G. Lucas' give him the assistance.

The entire show had way too much hype, as if it was something original and innovative. When really, it was so mediocre full of non existing stakes, wooden acting, nonsensical choices that made no sense whatsoever, And the amount of plot armor the main characters have is beyond ridiculous. Not to mention, they made Thrawn an idiot for no reason.
