      Is it also Canon?

    • @JonFairhurst
      @JonFairhurst 2 роки тому +14

      @@supernothing77- No. Canon’s continuity comes from its descending initial melody. The chord changes are ascending 5, 2, 5, 2 and at the end it turns around with 4, 2, 4.
      This is jazzier, including 7ths in the chords, and the chord changes are 4, 4, 4, 4, then a sharp 4 (jazzy!) and 4, 4.
      They are very different, but both have that feeling of continuous motion around the compass.

    • @bluberrykush3912
      @bluberrykush3912 2 роки тому +26

      You probably still need more than a month to really implement this in your general playing style if you're not already a sophisticated guitar student.
      But I agree, it's really nice to have so practical examples to the theory broken down to the core!
      I can learn easier this way for sure.

    • @harleyjo4875
      @harleyjo4875 10 місяців тому +2

      You should really be learning from yourself, teachers are here to give you tools, feedback, and push you.
      You’re the one who actually has to put in the work, and 90% of the stuff you’re going to learn as a player (if you’re actually dedicated to learning the instrument and now learning how to play a specific song) you’re going to learn on your own; you’ll then take that to your teacher being like “oh look at this cool thing I figured out!” And then they’ll be happy and be like “cool, that’s awesome, but you suck at it, here’s how to do it better”
