Good video as usual, I did Preston away this season, I was not sat down! 😂 our away fans are normally a fair bit better than that. Didn’t stop singing all game, closely followed by Derby who were class.
Yes wanted that bideo Boro where class for me last day singing even tho they knew they where not going up loads in St Greg club decent bunch if you ask me
Hi Ben, Stumbled across this vid and stayed being a supporter of a PL club the Championship often gets ignored unless you're in it, What shines through in your vid and championship in general is that you know every fan that makes that Tuesday night trip to Preston is a genuine/hardcore fan no matter how few or many they bring which is not always the case in the Top Flight, Quite often the battle to avoid relegation or more especially the fight to get into the play-offs is actually more interesting than whoever wins the PL, All the best with your channel and to Preston may the glory days return! Cheers Jim
When it looked like we might be relegated my only consolation was i was looking forward to travelling to Deep Dale. I have always looked forward to the fixture partly because of your generous ticket allocation but mostly because my Father was from Preston. 3000 tickets at the biggest Stadiums is all you get or 10% of the capacity in the Premier League. At Brentford we only received 1,800. Good video I have subscribed.
You can't hide your one eyed bias towards the Knob enders. The Rovers blew you away and we never stopped singing. Maybe you missed half the game like most of your fans who went home early?
Great run down. The Championship is great for not knowing who will win a game, and there's some real sport. You know who will win in so many EPL games.
LOL I'm thinking back to the 70's in the old Third and Fourth Divisions , you rarely got over 50 fans visiting (the road network was such it took 7 hours plus to go from South to North or North to South.) The only teams that brought big support (excluding local Derbies ) down south were "fallen giants"Sheffield Wednesday -who had incredible away support-brought over 4000 to Reading in 1976 after failing to win an away league game for two years (they beat Reading 1-0 that day a day more famous for Robin Friday head butting and gobbing in Wednesday keeper Chris Turner's face to rile the Wednesday support that Reading fans were hiding from! It was pure Friday!)-Blackburn ,Sheffield United-as impressive as Wednesday-Preston I can only recall a couple of hundred or so-not huge but above the 50 average , and teams chasing promotion always brought a few. It's only been the last 20 or 30 years that away support has come in numbers from every place. Workington v Aldershot on a cold Tuesday night in 1977 with no M6 to get you there saw zero away support travel and a lot of games had only the visiting directors as away support. Times change.
Very proud of the Blades this season… Best fans to come to the Lane… Well Boro for the numbers. Packed the away end out on a midweek game, impressive… Best for noise goes to Birmingham on the opening day. Packed the away end and never stopped singing, well done lads… See you next season 👍
Not to mention that Preston is far up North, whilst reading is far down south, so you're essentially travelling across the country to most likley see your team lose.
Fulham fan here and just want to give my POV, I went to Deepdale and sat at the away end all I heard were our fans. I met some close friends of mine who are Preston fans and they couldn't hear from us as they were opposite the away end Not saying it's the best in the country but our away support is underrated
I know our numbers weren't great but that makes sense with it being a Monday night on sky etc. I'm normally critical of our support but we were class this year at Deepdale, aye winning 4-1 helped but surely we have to be in the very good tier. See this video: ua-cam.com/video/4VczzNXrdEM/v-deo.html

So basically teams down the road and a max 2 hour drive is all in the top categories .. long distances has an effect despite the time of year or form of teams .. 500-600 our fans to urs in decent considering your lot around 300 to ours 😂
Not saying we would have taken more, but our tickets for Swansea away went on sale on the Monday, with the game being on Saturday. Because of Wales being in a lockdown until the week beginning of the game

If you don’t include Distances it’s pretty Harsh. It’s an 8 and A Half Hour round trip from Swansea To Preston when we had only one 1 game. 500 isn’t that bad
Regardless of you putting us (blades), in the the top tier of your list you have to realise that the state the club was in was very bad at the time and our fans morale was very low, even as a midweek game as you said, it shows how good our fans are
It is just a video but I thought our fans weren’t great coming to deep dale loads of us were sat down which is a shame if we were all stood up I think you would of but us higher to be honest
As a man city fan our home support is what it is. But our away support is definitely one of the best in the country. Also Fulham have always had terrible away support even in the prem. Don't know why
Putting Reading in poor is a scam, I went up during a storm, it took me 4 and half hours! We'd lost 8 I a row and the reason for such little numbers was because ur train station was shut due to the snow. 21st, snowing, 4 and half hours, we had limbs in that end!
