  • The moment is here! The 2024 Social Impact Artist Award shines a spotlight on three extraordinary Denver-based artists, each receiving $50,000-$35,000 in cash and $15,000 for a socially engaged art project. This award, developed in partnership with Denver Arts & Venues, celebrates their unmatched talent and commitment to driving meaningful change through the power of art.
We are thrilled to reveal this year’s inaugural honorees: the incomparable Jeff Campbell, Suzi Q. Smith, and Chelsea Kaiah!
These visionary artists are tackling bold and inspiring projects that reflect their deep connections to community and culture. Jeff Campbell will bring untold stories of Black pioneers in the American West to life through theater. Suzi Q. Smith’s poetic vision will explore hope and possibility in her work, "Dear, Denver, 2050." Chelsea Kaiah will preserve and share Indigenous hide tanning practices, offering participants a hands-on connection to cultural traditions.
In this stunning video, directed by Anthony Grimes, discover the heart of the Social Impact Artist Award, meet the honorees, and get a glimpse of how their transformative projects will inspire change. Watch now to experience the power of art in action!
