Also, regarding the reliability of Tata EVs. Being a Nexon EV owner, I can say that I've had no issues with the car. It's an absolute gem at that price point. You guys should do a review of the car.
What a slimy comment on Altroz DCT. Every enthusiast knows its coming on the NA Engine. Coz Autocar India had already reported it in the last week. You folks are pretending that you are predicting that DCT will come in NA engine. Shame. You folks are doing a good job in general and I wish you stay away from these kind of gimmicks
Santhosh, this was shot on the same day Baleno review was done - 22nd Feb. Back then it wasn’t reported what engine it was going to be paired with. Sorry to have hurt your feelings and how came across as ‘slimey’ and pretending.

Hello guys I am a Tata tiago owner and I am completely satisfied with the product. But now there is a situation rising against some service centres and some customers regarding the Tata passenger cars and it's really sad to see the humiliation towards the whole tata . I believe there is some uniqueness in Tata cars rising from such a low level to this peak and being a perfect enemy for all the other top companies. With all respect I am a regular viewer of your channel if it is negative or positive can you guys put a video regarding what is the real situation facing here.

The Toyota hybrids will be a game changer for Marayota, even if Honda launches the City and gets first mover advantage.
1.5l hybrid was okay, but a 2.0l hybrid. God knows what all models are planned by Toyota. Add to that a normal 2.0 petrol engine too. Interesting times for Toyota fans. Endeavour......kitaathe munthiri puliykum....

Good to see you both again in the TALKING NEWS. When it comes to the the ALTROZ DCA, Tata Motors has been testing the DT1 Dual Clutch Transmission sourced from PUNCH POWERTRAIN, Belgium. DT1 is a very compact cost effective DCT unit with a normal wet clutch multiplate system. Tata Motors was very keen to have a wet clutch instead of the dry clutch system taking into account the durability of DCT it offers. What I understand is Schaeffler India has provided Tata with a cost effective Multiplate Wet Clutch solution for the DT1 from Punch Powertrain, thereby making the DCA unit more affordable; at the same time durable for Indian Climate and Traffic conditions. Multiplate makes the DT1 unit compact and the wet clutch system takes care of the wear and tear. The noise level in wet clutches is less when compared to dry clutches. The presence of oil between plates help in managing the noise.
Wear and tear is very much less in the wet clutch and the lubricating oil keeps surfaces clean and provides smoother performance and longer life.
I also knew it was wet clucth....but this is the first time I am hearing a proper explanation... 🔥

@6:12 We are lamenting about why no AMT in Altroz during launch is only because updated Baleno is with AMT. But at that time, Baleno with CVT and Altroz with AMT could have raised eyebrows. Agreed that atleast an AMT at the time of launch would have fetched better sales.

Very informative video as usual....just need a technical clarification apart from this ....is it possible to remove the so called smart hybrid system from my petrol Ciaz because I always keep it off(Auto start stop system).Will it run normal after removing that system .Because once the secondary battery is faulty it's expensive to replace .
From teambhp reports, you can drive the car just as fine. Mileage may drop by 1-2 kmpl. Performance drop is noticeable only in stop go traffic. Though the price of the lithium battery (50k+) doesn't make sense to replace if it isn't under warranty.

Very slim chance to plonk 1.5L to Baleno in India.
Maruti does not usually take such risks.
The risk they took with Baleno RS was not well received.
And new Baleno top end touches 11L and there is no room for an even higher priced trim (due to increased taxes for 1.5)
And, they have only 1.5L for bigger cars.
