I love how they complain about not winning an Emmy for a lot of episodes, but when they actually do win one, they make fun of it by sticking the trophy in a log of shit in the episode “More Crap.” The show is awesome. 🤣
It's an inside joke that goes all the way back to the original VHS tapes for Season 1. They did a bunch of really over acted interview-style intros where they're petting a dog by the fire, playing guitar for elderly people, and answering questions from a fake producer which eventually intros an episode by them saying "This episode is called [episode name] and it's very special because its our favorite episode!" Then about halfway through the season they did different intros dressed as corny TV cowboys from the 50's and put it all in black and white while always saying the "It's our favorite episode" in every one of those too.
In hindsight, season 5 was probably one of, if not /the/, most influential season for the show. You’ve got Scott Must Die, which really pushed how far Cartman as a character can go and set him up the be the way he still is today. Then you’ve got Bin Laden Has Farty Pants which was South Park saying “no, we can do these episodes quick and we’re not going to hide from these big news stories just because of how recent they are”. And finally you’ve got Kenny Dies, where they learned that they can change the dynamic of the show and come out fine.
The Earth Day guy who murdered his ex girlfriend died in prison in April 2020. He was known as the Unicorn Killer and claimed the CIA killed his girlfriend to frame him because he knew their secrets
UA-cam took down the season 3 and season 6 commentaries, but you can now find it here: ua-cam.com/video/DU-Co6w6tBc/v-deo.html. and: ua-cam.com/video/NINZ79p_BIo/v-deo.html
It feels weird that They both talked about a child killer from my town... it feels weird that the most famous thing from my town is literally a woman who drowned her kids...
Regarding Kenny. The season after this one proved that Kenny is no longer an essential character to the show anymore since it felt like not a lot was missing from season 6 as a result of Kenny not being there and what replaced Kenny was superior. Season 6 is my second favourite of the show (with season 8 being my favourite)
Matt and Trey I got a question for you what do you think think was more evil in South Park? Wendy getting a substitute teacher launched into the center of the sun or Cartman getting a 9th graders parents killed and feeding it to him
Does anyone else think it's fucking weird that Trey says they went "down to Hawaii" at 12:09? It's certainly down but it seems way more...over. Never heard someone say that.

"Jimmy might have legs" 😭
Drinking game. Chug one every time Matt and Trey say this is their favorite episode.
Speaks for a good season
Season 5 was peak South Park
Its like those little intro clips they put on the first few seasons on VHS where they’d introduce each episode as their Favourite
I consumed too much beer and I think I'm dead. Can You be dead and still be typing comments? LOL!

Matt talking about how funny yelling "cripple fight" is and that was always my dad's favorite too.
Must be a dad thing as might used to shout it all the time.
You can't say shit.....but you CAN say it 200 times

Half of me said that's a likely story. The other half says that's likely. 😮
17:45 I love Matt’s impersonation of his dad. I don’t know why but it’s so funny to me.
Had no idea the cripple fight was based on that epic They Live fight scene
love listening to this stuff while I edit thanks for uploading!

I didn't know there was a time before Dennis Prager was trying to convince middle schoolers stupid bs. Must've been good times
RED ROCKET! RED ROCKET!
34:50
The mentioning of Dennis prager is like seeing a villain in a prequel before they become evil
You're threatened by Dennis Prager? Lol
I guess you're one of those 'all conservatives are evil' type guys. And you like South Park? Odd...
The fact that they worked with Prager is hilarious.
Came to say this, it's hilarious they worked for Prager.
@@zufgh South park creators hate conservatives. Weird, huh? You're listening to their commentary yet you missed that 🤔
I wish they still did 2 runs of the show a year😭 the 10 episodes that we get now go by way too quickly
it's now November and episode 1 is the only one that aired
@@calebkuti7897 More South Park is gonna come after the election prolly
@@calebkuti7897
Yea
It sucks
Damn COVID!!!!!
Yeaaa
I trust their judgement.. They know better than anyone
Great commentary twaaaa.....
It feels weird that They both talked about a child killer from my town... it feels weird that the most famous thing from my town is literally a woman who drowned her kids...
I can't believe super best friends got taken down and I never got to watch it
I’m glad Trey Parker and Matt stone did that Christmas card all those years ago.

jeez when was this recorded s5 was like 16 yrs ago
at 11:57 trey mentions they just got done with team america, so probably around 2003 or 2004. which is crazy to think about
34:31 is what I came for
No, I don't have one twaaa
Lions and jokes makes perfect sense but it's not their mane thing.
“Jimmy might have legs”
I loved this.
Surprised that Dennis Praeger story isn’t bigger
David Blaine in real life is if Jeff Goldblum played Doctor Strange

34:39 Dennis Prager?
Why is the audio so quiet?
Matt and Trey I got a question for you what do you think think was more evil in South Park? Wendy getting a substitute teacher launched into the center of the sun or Cartman getting a 9th graders parents killed and feeding it to him
they don’t run the channel, they won’t read this
Does anyone else think it's fucking weird that Trey says they went "down to Hawaii" at 12:09? It's certainly down but it seems way more...over. Never heard someone say that.
lay off the meth
I lowkey feel like the word they were looking for was the phrase "secondhand embarrassment" in a way
twaa
The fact the Osama episode aired after 9/11 is hilarious
They didn't exactly plan it before hand. It aired in the October
