If by rectangular, your open to the Apple Watch Ultra clone design, I've got several reviews up, and another one coming for the DTNo.1 DT Ultra 2 soon. Those big phone-on-the-arm rectangle designs didn't pan out well, so I don't expect to see a resurgence.
With other watches, for example from the "Kospet" workshop, the problem is that the grip of the watch strap broke over time, due to the material. Is it still a threat now?
Excellent review as always ! I've bought this watch and its right on way. May I ask you something ? Can you try to install ms teams ? Im really curious about that. Thx 😊
Thanks for "flooding" us with these amazing quality reviews! Too bad most of the new full Android watches are awful, but still interesting to see such things in work. The full Android watch of my dreams would have a 2'' square AMOLED display with at least 6GB of DDR4+ memory and 64GB+ of UFS2.1+ storage using Android 14 or higher. And to keep it IP68+ waterproof, it would have eSIM instead of a physical slot. :))
Perhaps some day a major company will take notice of some of the fine innovations of these smaller companies and incorporate the best of the best technology into a super smartwatch. "Time" will tell. Hope I'm still Ticking when it happens!
Yeah it's a shame that Samsung or Google or xiaomi or something doesn't just try to build a proper device like this. I mean they could actually get away with charging a ton for it if came out first. They would benefit from economies of scale of course and they would almost certainly then be able to work with Google to optimize Android etc. At this point it feels kind of reckless. It's been real money on something with Android 8 unless you are just an amazingly curious tinkerer.
My lem 16 only has 6gb and 128gb but it’s not waterproof.. my question is, it’s getting old (1year 2months) and water inside. What’s new that will be waterproof and better? 15mm thick be nice
Sadly, nothing Android. They stopped chasing waterproofing a long time ago, especially with the need to open them up to insert a SIM. Perhaps SIMless Android watches, like the new DTNo.1 DT Ultra 2 (review coming soon) could handle it, but with that rotating push button knob (to properly coyy Apple functionality), I doubt it.
Hello. I'm wondering if you would be kind enough to answer a question for me? I am travelling to Singapore with my 10yr old daughter and would like her to have a stand alone Android smart watch that she could use to make phone calls in case of separation/emergency etc that doesn't need to be linked to my phone for that reason as well. Would love it to be waterproof enough that she could wear it swimming if that's possible. Would you kindly recommend some models for me to look at your reviews of them? There were so many choices I have no idea where to start, your advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance, Hunter. Also if there are no Android options that do this I'm open to getting an apple watch if it doesn't require any other apple products to work as I don't own any. Thanks again :)
@@SWTnope, the api of 8.1 is just too old to support many of the newer apps. Regardless of the security patch date. But then again, if you purchase an Android watch running an OS this far out date, you can't expect it to be compatible with newer apps.
Even my Samsung S21 Ultra, now only 3 years old, with their forced updates isn't supporting relatively new apps! It's crazy. Everybody (especially Google) is hot and bothered about everything AI, and now they practically beg me to circle things on my screen to have AI run with it. That circling overlay absolutely smashes other overlay based apps, like Display Brightness, etc. So it's not just that A8.1 OS is too old, seems A14 is too! This love affair with AI will be the death of us yet, figuratively and literally. Thanks for the insight. :)
@@SWTha! That's kind of odd. I mean I have stuff with Android 12 and it runs virtually everything. Even my note 9 which is on Android 10 still runs 90% of modern apps or more. No material you or anything like that, but it's not like iOS where app updates are completely decoupled from OS updates. I also have an old watch like this with 7.1 and there's plenty of things missing for sure. Interestingly when stadia still existed you could cloud game on there... Most of the major streaming things work, UA-cam works but honestly, my bigger concern at that point is more security probably than usability. But definitely some stuff missing. I don't think there's any fire TV app, but there is a Google TV app. No shortcut maker. But you can always download a third party app store. Those are pretty good with backwards compatibility
@@SWTI do agree entirely though that AI, at least in the form of these chatbot/ llm models has been a very huge disappointment. All the consumer phasing products have been terrible and Microsoft just announced that they're going to have to go back on their plans to be carbon neutral by 20:30 because supporting all of these AI servers is going to increase their emissions by 30%
The military in the US does, too, but not the rest of us. We do the AM/PM thing, Imperial units (which make no logical sense at all), and the crazy "F"ing temperature system. Sigh, but it's what I know, so I tend to switch everything over for these reviews. It's simple to switch back in the app.

Why these newer models seems to be a huge downgrade to the older 4 pro? Cant find the 4pro for less than 400 dollars on Alibaba now
I always come to your channel every time I want to check for new android smartwatch.
How about the lokmat attach pro is it worth buying?
Have a look and compare them: ua-cam.com/video/DChJbSdwdJ8/v-deo.html
Thank you for introducing us to these Android watches! 👍
My pleasure! They have really changed over the years. Got some more to show you, too. Glad you subscribed 5 years ago. :)
@@SWT I'm waiting for you to show us an Android watch with a good resolution rectangular OLED display. 👍💛

@@SWT I'm strapping a small phone on my arm. It's the PALM phone. It is small enough that it can be done.
Hola este reloj se puede utilizar como módem???

@SWT does it support clockskin folder and custom faces..? Or did I miss it in the video?
Cheers

From what I can tell, no, custom faces aren't supported with the stock launcher: ua-cam.com/video/XlkGNAYZL-Q/v-deo.html

I bought one and can’t seem to get the SIM card to work. Anyone have any advice that’ll be helpful? If so thanks in advance.

android 8.1 was released in 2017 ,why are watches use suxh6an old version ?
Perhaps the newer version security patches make it harder to work with? I'm not sure.
