(I may have said this before) When I first started watching remixers I thought every song was equally amazing however as time progresses and I go back to hear older remixes I realize how wrong I was and that the gradual increase to amazingness makes you experience the same awsome experience over and over again. Which is Great!
I've noticed this as well--in other people's works, and also in my own. As I become more knowledgeable about my hobby and how to better make music, I can analyze remixes a lot better and notice what sounds good and what doesn't, regardless if they're mine or not (though, it IS definitely easier to analyze my own work, obviously, haha). Now… I still have a loooot to learn, but at least I can tell that all my pre-2013 work is ABSOLUTELY terrible when I go back to check it out presently hahaha.

Ohhhhh boy do I ever need to put some time aside to watch Higurashi! I love the original song (love love LOVE creepy songs), and this remix is utterly amazing! And nice touch with the Lavender Town theme in there. ;)
I prefer Umineko myself. Partially because of my name, but because it was just a weird plot. I actually never thought I'd like that type of anime until then (sherlock/poirot type stories plus anime just seemed a weird mix). It's strangeness horror/magic etc. was good though.
