This was the most intense game I've ever watched in my life. Would Malachi break the 🧊? Would the skater live to see another day? Was the other player actually from Jersey? Did he follow his heart? Whoo I was sweating. Elbow slam was the only worthy ending to this match

This is amazing, I don't know this game but you can tell the sportsman spirit is alive on these guys. Generally speaking, from our ancestors in the actual savanah down in Africa, to the civilizations of the Fertile Crescent, Hindus Valley and Yellow River, not to mention all that came afterwards, we have always enjoyed these mostly pointless competitions where both sides cheer, have fun and then shake hands as fellows at the end.

My how times change! "Don't Break the Ice" came out in the late 1960's as a game for kids ages 5-12 by the Schaper Toy company. Glad to see it still entertains.
I have honestly never heard of this game before but now that I've seen it played (and at a Master level), I want the game for my own. That looks like a ton of anxiety inducing moments but I loved it. These guys are not only masters of baseball but now it seems they have mastered this as well. 🎶🐦🇺🇸
These bananas are playing it like it's Jenga. Don't Break the Ice is a game of chess. I used to play this as a kid and I would have cleaned their clocks. It's about calculating what pieces to take out to force them to be the one left with having to drop the guy in the ice. While it does take a bit of gentle tapping it's more about strategic planning. Also, whoever is shooting this is doing a great job of capturing the emotion of the game but you need a top down camera in the mix so people can clearly see what each player's strategy is. This is like trying to watch hockey without a puck tracker- with a white puck.
This brings me right back to playing this game as a kid with my little brother on the floor of our living room. We almost always got to the point where there are no choices left, just as in the video. We would hid single ones, rowes or two blocks out at a time. We would hit in the corners to get blocks to spin. Blocks would fall out of places you did not even hit after that. We even put blockes upside down while building it. The underside is hollow, so those blocks would be difficult to get out. And sometimes the tension would just be different with some blocks upside down. It was possoble for blocks to fall out the other side of where you were ticking one out. We would chose a block before ticking it out and no matter if another block fell, you still had to tick the one you choose out. Yeah we made some rules to keep it interesting.
Anyone who's ever played this game knows that match was super legit. Doesn't get closer.

My how times change! "Don't Break the Ice" came out in the late 1960's as a game for kids ages 5-12 by the Schaper Toy company. Glad to see it still entertains.

I have honestly never heard of this game before but now that I've seen it played (and at a Master level), I want the game for my own. That looks like a ton of anxiety inducing moments but I loved it. These guys are not only masters of baseball but now it seems they have mastered this as well.

These bananas are playing it like it's Jenga. Don't Break the Ice is a game of chess. I used to play this as a kid and I would have cleaned their clocks. It's about calculating what pieces to take out to force them to be the one left with having to drop the guy in the ice. While it does take a bit of gentle tapping it's more about strategic planning.
Also, whoever is shooting this is doing a great job of capturing the emotion of the game but you need a top down camera in the mix so people can clearly see what each player's strategy is. This is like trying to watch hockey without a puck tracker- with a white puck.

Omg what a throwback, I loved this game!
This brings me right back to playing this game as a kid with my little brother on the floor of our living room. We almost always got to the point where there are no choices left, just as in the video. We would hid single ones, rowes or two blocks out at a time. We would hit in the corners to get blocks to spin. Blocks would fall out of places you did not even hit after that. We even put blockes upside down while building it. The underside is hollow, so those blocks would be difficult to get out. And sometimes the tension would just be different with some blocks upside down. It was possoble for blocks to fall out the other side of where you were ticking one out. We would chose a block before ticking it out and no matter if another block fell, you still had to tick the one you choose out. Yeah we made some rules to keep it interesting.
