I think this one of the most responsible, respectful, and healthy communicated decision to have a child that I’ve ever listened to. I commend you both and wish you a health peaceful pregnancy! ❤
Ok, I’m totally hooked. You got me on the backstory. I hardly ever hear so much depth of someone’s journey to desiring motherhood when they didn’t initially want kids. So exciting!! Praying for you guys. 🙏🏽 ❤
The wisest thing someone said to me once was:"if you try and plan it out on paper, no one could afford a baby." but it really is the most magical thing in the word, the wonder you end up seeing through their little eyes once they are here is just so so so so amazing. It's. like you're getting to see the most magical parts of the world all over again.
This is nuuutsss. At 33, after 8 years super happily married my husband and I decided to try. It was during a beach vacation and we got it in the first try, which like you, I didn't even think possible. I am at 14 weeks and with an approximate due date of August 9th. I watched the whole video amazed by the similarities in our stories. Sending you tons of good vibes!
Wow, we have nearly identical timelines?! Married in 2016 and not really wanting kids. Reassessed our priorities in 2021 and we realized we wanted kids after all and started trying in 2022 (I was also a huge researcher and planner!) Due in August 2023!
Oh girl I’m so happy for you guys congratulations.. I became a mom at 22 and again at 29 and I just turned 58 and still feel 30 . My friends tell me I don’t look my age, yeah me..♥️♥️♥️♥️
Same, lol My daughter got mad once cause they mistook me for being her younger sister. I think it's only because she is taller than me... but still ;) . Sorry only 50 lol
Just saw this video and it's one of the best I've seen. The backstory was so interesting about how you two evolved from no kids to yes kids. And your reaction to the tests show that in your heart, you really wanted a child. I think it's great! Kids are special little beings...hard work but then come the thousands of special moments and joys!
OMG your reaction is everything! The way you were shaking 😭. Congratulations🎉 I’m so so so happy for you guys! You’re going to be the coolest parents ever!
came across your channel on my recommendations earlier this week, couldn't help but follow you on IG after. My first thought was, i like her modesty, so cute... just to find out you're a fellow sister. THEN to find our you're pregnant brought me so much joy! Happy for you both!
Baby tips: I wouldn't buy too many newborn clothes they grow out quick, I really like the momcozy wearable pump if you choose to pump, The Konny baby carrier is really easy, 2 bottles that I liked were the tommee tippee silicone bottles, and the chicco duo hybrid. +more
Sve najbolje i velika pohvala na pametnom planiranju života a posebno novog života. To je prema mom mišljenju jedini ispravan put . Imam dvije djece koja su planirana i voljena do neba .
Congratulations!!! It’s nice to see another couple that spent several years together before having children. My husband and I were in our 30’s and married 10 years before we had our first kid. People were so weird about it, I like seeing it normalized like this. And the way you guys went about going from child free to deciding to have children was really sweet. Growing together with someone can really make you feel like you can take on the world.
Same goes for my mom , she was the eldest and had 7 younger siblings and she took care of all of them while grandma was popping one after the other . So initially she didn't want kids or wasn't fond of kids
I never wanted children. But this video has me like 😭. I love how thought out your journey was. And how in sync and respectful you are to each other. Congratulations.❤️
Children are absolutely indescribably wonderful. But three months postpartum..I cant fathom the enormous sacrifice that took. You may not lose yourself. But you may loose your body..and eventually it's quite similar. I was soo physically miserable for so long I stopped feeling like a human. Like I was stuck in this miserable body that got hijacked. Starting to feel like a human again and having my baby is AWESOME. But I wished I could have better understood the sacrifice I was going to make...maybe not to well tho or it would have been extremely difficult to choose to put myself through.
omg you’re SO cute I LOVE how you were like “ok got this” and then LOST it hahahahaha its the best most amazing feeling! My son is now 14.5 :( and hoping for baby #2 so loving these videos right now!
first off, thank you for making a video like this. I have always been very much like you and at this point in my life where I am constantly surrounded by friends who are having children and strongly desiring children and I wonder if I will ever be ready for that. If i will ever be that girl that wishes for a pregnancy. This was a very mature way of explaining what you went through and kind of your mindset shift, and I am so thankful to have a pretty clear picture of what it may look like and feel like when I am ready to conceive 😊 thank you. You are beautiful. Congratulations 🎉 💕💘
Congratulations! So, my story is very similar. My husband and I were both young and in the military when we met and married and children were just not in our future. I come from a very large family, so the maternal desire was just not there for me AND there was the fact that I was told by physicians that pregnancy and carrying a child to term were just not in the cards for me for medical/physiological reasons. So, we just tucked that away and didn't look back, until eight years into our marriage. For us it was at the "worst" possible moment I woke up and decided I wanted to at least try to have a child, it was then that my husband confessed he had been thinking about it for awhile, but wasn't sure if I would be willing to explore adoption. We were living in Europe and were in the process of changing careers moving to yet another country and now throwing what would be a high risk pregnancy into the mix. I will be honest we were both resigned to the fact that I likely wouldn't conceive and we would be adopting a child, so we set a timeline on how long we would try to conceive and began working with our obgyn specialist(who seemed more hopeful that we could have a child and I could safely carry them close enough to term). Well, long story short I was almost immediately pregnant and while my pregnancy was high risk, it was truly such a magical and wonderful experience that I treasure always, I also managed to avoid being put on bedrest and meds until I was 8 months pregnant, I delivered our beautiful healthy girl at 36 weeks via c-section. As far as giving up things, maybe it was because we had nearly 10 years in the military followed by careers with the federal government and use to just living a life that was/is more chaotic and unconventional in general, but we very little in our lives changed, our baby girl has had a passport her entire life and we have traveled with her since infancy, ate at any upscale restaurant that we desired with her in tow(we are foodies), museums, the theatre, etc.... Obviously, we had fewer dinner and drink dates with friends and we took a short hiatus from concerts, but I cannot imagine not sharing these experiences as a family! Even the ones she can't remember, to be able to have the memories of these adventures/misadventures, no words can express just how precious it is.
This one is genuinely funny!! And you are both so amazing....great for you both! Could you do a future video on how your goals changed in your relationship? That was so cool when you were talking about things after 5 years.
Wooowww…. DID u cause me some emotional roller coaster!… so happy for u both! May it be an easy and beautiful experience with a healthy baby and mommy😍♥️
OMG!!!! You’re not going to know yourselves my son is now 13 months, and hubby and I have been married coming up to 6 years ourselves. We got married in 2017! We never ever ever thought of ourselves as having kids like ever, we just wanted to focus on ourselves and we were happy with that. Then we did get the desire during 2020 and started trying but didn’t fall pregnant until a year later. It’s honestly the most best and beautiful blessing ever. We LOVE being parents, seeing your own child smile at you everyday and laughing with you.. nothing beats that!! Seeing my son reach every milestone, it’s been the biggest joy in my entire life and I wish to have more children in the future😭😭🥺 it’s so funny and maybe just a coincidence but my sons name is Theo!! Hehe so it’s so cute your dogs name is Theo too!!! I honestly wish you both the best and pray you have a safe and healthy pregnancy and birth!!! WELCOME TO PARENTHOOD!!!!! You’re gonna love it ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
omg so so so happy for your two! i don’t know how you could stay cool after that! and let me say wow to the digital test?! I had to take 2-3 of the analog ones to be sure! haha Congrats! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Your reaction is so similar to how I reacted to my first pregnancy 24 years ago 🥹 Congratulations and many blessings to you both on your new journey! ❤
OMG I loveeeeee this video!!!!!!! Seeing your reaction just took me back when I found out I was pregnant with my son 😭😭♥️ like the raw real surreal feelings like you can’t believe you’re pregnant but you see the line 😭😭 such an amazing feeling!!!!! Thank you for sharing your journey with us ❤
