Wow, great name, great memory. I haven't heard his name in years. Thanks for sharing the video.
I remember watching him as a rookie, his early years he was like a southpaw Nolan Ryan.
He went to Detroit Catholic Central, had some great pitching duels with Jim Murray from my old school, St. Mary's of Redford.
I saw him pitch a couple of times in the minors -- he was something else. Tremendous pitcher.
I was at the Game on May 30 1977 in Cleveland and saw Dennis Eckersley pitch a No-Hitter against Frank Tanana. Frank was also overpowering that day. I believe Frank only gave up 3 Hits.
I remember him!!!!!! GREAT NAME❤!!!!!!!!
@@theautographfishermanjonbu325 I am glad to hear that. Sports were more enjoyable back then, not all about Money, Enjoy life. Jeff
I interviewed Frank Tanana (for a newspaper article) in Tiger Stadium in the late 80s. He was the first pro athlete I ever interviewed. He was terrific to give me his time in the clubhouse, thoroughly answering every question I asked, making it easy for a “rookie” reporter like me.
That's awesome to hear
