Thank you very much. This is the kind of review I was looking for. I’m a non-hype guy myself, but if it’s worth it, I’m happy to go all in. I’ll be following you from now on
I bought a Timeline a couple days ago to replace a TCE Triple Delay. I will probably use it mostly as a stomp box delay as you said. I've noticed a couple of "flaws" with it right away. For example, there are no trails when switching from A to B (or B to A) which causes an abrupt stop until you hit a new chord. Also, with the TCE, I could engage three delays at once. With the Timeline, it's either A or B in each bank so one at a time. The Dual Delay setting will work but it's not intuitive like the you said. If there are ways to edit both of these, please let me know. Lastly, the "Time" knob is very touchy and it is very difficult to dial in a specific BPM. That all said, it sounds amazing and it's way smaller than the TCE.
I absolutely love the Timeline. It's one of those pedals that every time i try to replace it to try something new it doesnt take long for it to get put back on my board. I do need to dive deeper into its capabilities though. I barely scratch the surface on what its capable of doing
I have an El Cap and a Time Line and I have to say they are amazing. I think you are on the nail on the Time Line and use it pretty much as you described in my studio rig, but on my basic jamming board I have I have an El Cap which I have had for years…it’s brilliant. I wouldn’t be parted from either for anything and think they are deserved of the hype.
The TIMELINE does sound great. Is there a pedal out there like the Boss DD7 that has a digital / programmable readout ? So you can know exactly what "timing" you are dialing in. Or should I just mark my DD7 with a Sharpie dot for my most important "timing"? Thoughts ? thx
So this is a great comment and it's telling that you're the only person to have said this, but I hadn't heard of Nixie at all. Not mentioned in the manual or as far as I could see on the product page. I'm not sure why Strymon wouldn't make a bigger point of this - except for the fact I'd have to buy a MIDI/USB adapter to use it because I don't have one. But still, other manufacturers have this kind of software and it's one of the first things they say about the products that use it. Why the big secret, Strymon?
I'm not suggesting they launch a marketing campaign about it. Merely including it in the existing literature would be an improvement, and cost basically nothing.

100% deserving of the hype, they're really great pedals. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Great demo! What do you use for the drums for your songs?
You can hook them up to a pc and edit presets there in Nixie with a midi to usb device

4:35 Hey Max, have you heard of Strymon Nixie? Its a software that you can use to create and edit presets.

@@MaxRossellMusicMaybe the answer is : They spend their money on making better products, not on advertising.😊

I'm now curious to hear about the demise of the Line 6 Helix and return to a stomp-box setup.
I'm currently trying to figure out how to tell that story without boring the pants off everyone :)
HX Stomps are staying on boards everywhere. The all in one floor units are losing popularity.
