So this episode was actually meant to air on Children's Day in Japan (May 5th) but was postponed due to the Porygon incident. In the dub, Brock mentions that Misty already had her festival and he and Ash talk about being tough men before Misty smacks them and says that she can be tough, too. In the original Japanese, Ash points out that Children's Day was initially meant just for boys and that he & Brock should be the ones celebrating as Misty already had her Princess Festival (which was based on Girls' Day in Japan). Misty then smacks them and remarks that girls can celebrate Children's Day too (Japan made Children's Day for both boys and girls in 1948, following World War II)
"Double Trouble" Is one of my favorite Pikachu's Jukebox songs, a fun banger villain song from Team Rocket that has seen many a HMV. It's a bad guy song that really gets me pumped!
No no Coulson has a point about bringing out Charizard. They've gone down the path of the "Whose that Pokemon?" segment no longer matches the main Pokemon of the episode. Plus we got Pikachu's Jukebox & Team Rocket's Rocking

These episodes are still Indigo League. Orange Islands doesn't start until the 83rd episode of the anime, "Pallet Party Panic".
They explained they're going by the season groupings on the platform they're watching it on, it's listed wrong on there
@@Jokubasinc yeah but I feel like for UA-cam they should title the episodes accordingly, you know?

Same! Some of the Jukebox have stayed in my memory, but I had forgotten this one and it is actually really fun and a cute tribute to Team Rocket!
The Fury Swipes edit caught me off guard
Meowth secretly wanting to be a hero😭 Sometimes I think Team Rocket would be much more successful at literally anything else besides being villains😂
