This type of video is nuts. I can't imagine the time it took to dig up the footage from the archives to show what the riders were referring to. Amazing!
That run of Sam on this track is still my favorite run of all time, it's not often you can see a clear speed difference on camera by such a margin, looked sped up at times, I think it's the hardest anyone has ever pushed on any run ever, you could say it was too fast as he crashed, but it was still pure brilliance.
Seems like this is a track where the riders could use a even longer and slacker bike than usual. And bigger tires. All about monstertrucking and not much won in turns here
I love 26" as much as the next guy but having rode all 3 wheel sizes I can tell you for sure if I was racing I would be on 29s. The ability to plow instead of navigate leads to better times, even if it seems less fun, and feels slower.
Thx John and Vital, best coverage as always, can't wait to follow that all week end long 🤙🏻

Same, that was a fucking banger of a run, it was the run that made me get into downhill racing. Just on another level
Yep. Nothing else comes close to that run.
Ever? Gwin winning by an 8 second margin, not in World Champs, was the best.. But the small wheel smashing runs was a different animal
@@gweflj Maybe the run where winner rode in dry and then a guy finnished 3rd in pouring rain with a crash... Oh wait, that was Sam Hill as well!
I'm enjoying the proper downhill we've had this year. Les Gets was an excellent track and Val Di Sole is Val Di Sole.
Awesome done, espiacally with the old footage from 2008!
Loved the time travelling clips in this edit 👌
All the old sequences were amazing.!
i love how you guys mixed in the old footage and the great interviews, so much context!
Bruni equipped his 'stache - he means business.
he's not the only one though
He’s not aero anymore, game over.
Stache? Thought he grew a third eyebrow for a second
so awesome to see Legends like Peaty and Barel there. it's going to be a good week(end)
Thanks stache Bruni! My girl will actually want to watch the world cup with me now.
Wow, Tom Selleck at the World Champs!!
excited for this one
What does it take to make Vital MTB the "official" broadcaster of the World UCI DH series?? Where do I vote?? Thanks for the continued great coverage!
Loving the video!

you can see how the old bikes were smaller and harder to control but at the same time you can see the human skill and ability to shred no matter what
Hell that's steeeeeep !!! You can' t even walk there. Nice intro vid to the race.
Shout out to my man at 3:50 rocking the Senna shirt!
Chris Grice word of the day: Gnarly
"i think carrying speed will be important here." When is carrying speed not important in a DH race?
You're not wrong...lulz. I look it as the media DH PR canned response, just something you say every race - it's an honor just to be nominated.
I reckon Sam Hill on an 08 Sunday would have a good chance at the Win
No more Super Bruni, now is Super Mario
Quello li che è passato adesso, vosto che traiettoria ?! (Cit) 😄🙏
🔥🔥🔥
You know when Minnar is short on words to describe a track, then you can be sure it's as hectic as balls.
Christopher Grice, if I'd not heard him speak an u told me he was Marine Cabirou's twin I'd have said 'what a talented pair'
Val Di Armpump.

The algorithm say, crashing images takes to more views.
narly narly
loic looks just like mario bros jajajaja
I hate you for showing the 2008 footage with the DH bikes with wheels so small they look like BMX bikes
greg minaar looks old... but still ride fast...
Why did nobody tell me that Veronika Widmann looks like absolute waifu material?
26" is still the best and quickest wheel size. Potentially having a 27.5" front wheel may roll better.
lol

@@NONO-hz4vo I prefer 26" but then I'm only 5'9", which is about the same as most of the top pros. Brosnan looks tiny on his 29" Canyon.
