@@Pyrox645they do introduce a lot of characters as is. this set is even one of the lightest ones for returning hs characters (elise, reno, kurtrus) and on introducing wow characters to the game (rhea, theldurin, taethelan, velarok, thogrun). only 8/27, less than a third, and 1/9th for people that dont know wow

The combo is super fun in a Hero Power Mage deck, too. Playing Reckless Apprentice with his various hero powers is a lot of fun. Just don't use him with Reno's card draw hero power or you will be drawing between 1 and 8 cards.

The fun fact that this is not even broken, this deck is probably quite weak in wild
First you have to find 2 specific card in highlander
Mage doesn't really have many ways to cheat mana, so Reno comes out at turn 7-8 at best.
Then you have find the necessary hero power out of many options.
So you can kill your opponent at turn 8-9 AT BEST, that is in the world where Demon Hunter with a good draw can deal 20 dmg at turn 5 in standart
Surely the hero power should swap after being used right? Seems like an unintended mechanic.
it's funny to think that if they didn't stylise reno's hero power as a gun, the animation speed would probably be too slow for you to win game 2

no is not infinite damage because the turns have time. so for example antonidas only get to 250 damage because animations, i believe you can only get to 350 at maximum with you "infinite damage" in wild 1000 armor is not even rare so see.
Surprised Coldarra Drake hasn't been nerfed by now tbh.
Because the issue is not Coldarra, but the hero power itself
Also, I haven't played HS in 1.5 years, but even now it seems rather a fun deck than something that could compete with any decent deck unless it's a hard counter

@@TheOneYouCantBEAR Coldarra has always been on the verge of being broken, with it breaking the wild meta a few times. I bet it will get changed.
Having played this deck for a bit, it is okay. The big issue is not getting the right hero power when you need it. 1 in 7 baby! You will steal games on occasion, but it is not as great as you would hope.
You're not supposed to rely on this combo you're supposed to do exactly what you said: steal some games that you would otherwise lose and then win the games that you're good deck wins anyway.
When he squelched his opponent after missing a hero power, I felt that.

I have a feeling they will change the hero power so it is random change after each use, not each turn.
You get the hero power regardless so isn't this deck just better with two ice blocks, solid alibi, and a bunch of freeze effects?

@@MrFox64057 Reno's Battlecry only triggers if your deck has no duplicates. He had not drawn an Ice Block that game, so since both Ice Blocks would still be in deck, the Battlecry would not have triggered and Chump would have died.
@@james-s-smith he would have two of both ice block, solid alibi, and a bunch of freeze effects as well. Twice as likely to draw them and will often be able to use two. I already acknowledged you don't get the battlecry in my original comment.

Reno's hero power will prob get nerfed cuz of this interaction with the drake, they'll prob make it refresh only 1 crystal so it would no longer be infinite
If they want to nerf this, they will probably make the hero power to swap right after you use it
