Is basically carrying rice bag on the back. During the ancient days, since there were no vehicles, men become the source for transporting the rice from the paddy field to the village after harvesting the rice. Also in some of the auspicious festivals it is also a pride for the strongest mens in the village to carry the heavy bag of rice and show case it to the villagers. And in some other festivals like Luira Phanit (seed sowing festival) it is also a part of a competition where all the strongest men in the village/villages will compete each other and whoever is the strongest will carry the pride and will be the talk of the village/area and he will be given respect by the people .
