So the lawsuit is against him AND OHSU for failure to protect their staff amongst a variety of other charges. She is not sitting there asking for 45 mil, likely it’s lawyers she has hired that are trying to get the most money out of this situation but all of that is beside the point that this guy is gross. He has already been found guilty by internal investigation and fired for those wondering why I am blasting him before his public trial. It’s going to be hard to defend blatant unsolicited nudes that he has already been found guilty for..
You can file a lawsuit and seek damages for whatever amount you want. Does not mean you will be awarded whatever sum of money you ask for. It really depends on what the court thinks is appropriate. In civil suits, such as this one, where the plaintiff seeks monetary compensation for emotional and physical harm suffered, which can be difficult to quantify, it really depends on the circumstances of the case. The hospital (the doctor's employer) was also likely sued because the hospital has more money to pay the plaintiff and is also "vicariously liable" for the employee's conduct.
Thank you for bringing awareness to this. I can't begin to explain how exhausting and traumatizing it is to see these institutions repeatedly choosing to not hold perpetrators accountable. How can we feel safe anywhere??
Its crazy to see situations like this happen. Having graduated from USC and hearing about the scandal with a gynecologist in our student health center, it makes me question why some people go into a field of service when behind closed doors, they're mistreating people like this.

This is why things like abuse, hate, or racism is so much deeper than just firing someone from a job. It scares me so much how people try to bury than actually rectify it. He's a danger to society and needs help. Not sure what he's gonna do with his life now but I hope they did more than just bring him to court/ fire him.

Time and time again we see that your propensity to fame determines how severely you are punished (if at all). Have we not learned by now that when things go unchecked it just emboldens that person to do even worse things?? Thanks to the social worker hopefully the resident will check himself before he thinks about doing something like this again.
Reportedly OHSU was going to "fire/dismiss" him from anesthesia residency but they were concerned that they would get sued by Dr. Campbell for racism so they agreed to find him another residency spot before quietly letting him go (to University of Florida).
lets be honest this guy had no qualifications to begin with. This is the problem with the URM system, they bring low iq individuals that prob had 498 on the mcat and are only good for dancing on tiktok.

What!!! I’m shocked . I’m a clinical social worker working in an emergency department . I have never came across a resident or attending that has been sexually inappropriate. Maybe rude and cocky lol but never sexual !! Shame on him ! Who works this hard just to ruin it by acting sexually inappropriate smh 🤦🏽♀️

The 45million speaks volumes. That being said, the act is despicable and should be punished "after a fair trial". PSA...Docs and residents be careful. You are only human but will be held accountable as superhumans. Simple advances might be viewed as sexual harassment if made to the wrong person. Bottom line: be cautious!!!

This was very disappointing... Brings up MANY challenges from a residency perspective. We have challenges getting residents maternity leave and he was kicked out of OHSU and is already in residency at UF now. Just wait until they become faculty, then we have a whole other problem. (But courses exist) #SimTribe

The title is itself outrageous. 3 major duties of a doctor also includes duty towards colleagues and hecking any other fellow of a personal problem socially to virtually thousands a people is extremely disappointing and highly discouraged. Im sorry but I'm a woman and I don't believe alot of these "sexual assault cases"people need to stop believing these stories immediately. Not saying this guy is innocent but we should not blindly believe.
As a women, I don't play when it comes to sexual assault. There are so many women who are called liars and who have their careers destroyed due to coming forth about sexual assault (either with or without direct evidence). Innocent until proven guilt doesn't really apply here, at least to me.
His last place of residency already did an investigation and found him guilty but kept him around. The women is now suing him and the hospital I believe for not taking it more seriously
