Thanks for the comment! I love the Metaltronix amp. It has this nice high gain saturated sound and feel but not too high gain as some of the new amps out there. As far as settings on this video, I don't know exactly, but it looks like I was running my Digitech GSP1101 processor in the 4 cable method, using the Metaltronix as the main preamp, and most likely a DOD/Digitech Death Metal as my overdrive in the GSP1101, as well as maybe some chorus and delay inside the Digitech unit. Usually I like to use the Metaltronix with the extra gain switch on. But I might of used the lighter gain setting on this video since I was going for that old Swedish Death Metal type tone and was running the Death Metal distortion. I noticed that the bass EQ on the Metaltronix doesn't really change the sound too much, especially compared to other amps. But I usually try to dial in the mids according to my guitar and pickups to make sure the notes and strings have some definition. Then I dial in the treble to get just enough bite and grit without getting to fizzy on the high end. The amp works well with other overdrives too such as a DOD 250, Boss SD-1, Ibanez Tubescreamer, etc. How do you like the Metaltronix amp? Did you see there is a new one now?
Time is an abyss... profound as a thousand nights... Death is not the worst. ... The absence of love is the most abject pain.
I see you have good taste in Dracula flicks too...Klaus Kinski's Nosferateu rules!
Hi! Good sound.. I have the same amp, I know it's an old video.. do you remember the settings you used? Did you use an overdrive? Thank you so much!
