Watching this reminds me again of what a talent is being wasted on Glee.

I agree
💯 Years later and we can really see it was such a dead-end career choice.
Kelli O’Hara was the ultimate Clara. What a voice! I would love to have seen her paired with Aaron Lazar as Fabrizio. Matthew is good but Aaron was fantastic
Matthew Morrison's voice makes me swoon!😍
That Kelli tears at my heartstrings
SAME AND SHES A TONY AWARD WINNER
Her VOICE
Seriously? how did I not find these Matt Morrison clips sooner? I've watched the second cast (Lazar and Katie), and was so sad I didn't get to see/watch the original cast (meaning Matt Morrison!). Thank you so much for sharing. Now I must go watch all the other clips!
Yay! I luv Light in the Piazza! so romantic. Matt did a great job as Fabrizzio! Luv him in this!
I adore Matthew!
If the broadway production had Aaron Lazar instead of Morrison it would be the most pertfect thing ever
You're clearly not very intellectual then aren't you. Matthew made it the most perfect thing ever.
Eoin Daly The Broadway production did have Aaron Lazar, just later in the run (and, of course, on the PBS broadcast). He certainly is wonderful. I feel so fortunate to have gotten to see him three times, playing Jordan Benedict in LaChiusa's musical of GIANT, in Dallas. I'm sure Brian D'Arcy James, who played the role later, at the Public Theatre, was also excellent in the role, but Aaron was wonderful! Still, I love Matthew M. as Fabrizio (judging from an infinite number of times listening to the cast recording, and from clips like this one). Aaron was marvelous in the broadcast, and I heard that David Burnham (the other Broadway Fabrizio; there may have been more, but those are all I know) was excellent as well. I just love this show and score!
Oh -- I also loved Aaron in the one excerpt I got to see of him in THE LAST SHIP (which looked and sounded like a show that really shouldn't have had to close so soon; what a shame.
Tbh if it was still Celia Keenan-bolger, with Aaron. All 3 of the would have won the Tony
@GretaGarboGirl I know! Her voice is angelic and she could be a model for goodness sake. So not fair. But I adore her. It's great to see a performer who can actually sing and act. Not just stand there and be pretty. Not to mention she's both intelligent and humble. She's an idol of mine. :)
Oh and just to say: She was robbed the Tony Award!
AND THIS IS WHY WE SHOULD LOCK THE DOOR WHEN HAVING SEX.
“Is everything all right? You’re not feeling I’ll are you?? If you aren’t I’ll or suck then why is there moaning and gasping??”
They should have locked the door!
