Bardock is basically the king of saiyans because he was the only saiyan who tried his hardest to save planet Vegeta while "king" Vegeta was doing nothing

In the creator’s defense, Gine wasn’t confirmed to be Goku and Raditz’s mother by the time this story was published, which is why Hanasia is Goku and Raditz’s mother in this universe
