Growth requirements like nutrients, major and minor elements, pH, temperature and various terms like photoautotrophs, photoheterotrophs, chemoautotrophs, chemoheterotrophs are also discussed. Measurement of bacterial growth by plate count method, haemocytometer method and spectrophotometer method are also discussed. Finally asexual reproduction or binary fission is discussed.
