Your blue blood comment is pathetically ignorant. We were down prior to 2021 and became relevant again. We were down prior to 1997 and we were relevant again. Same thing happened in the 40’s. Blue bloods are defined over the long haul,. 145 years of football at MICHIGAN. Blue Bloods are not made in a season or even a decade for that matter. Oregon will win this game and may win it all this year, but they have a long way to go before they can be included in the “blue blood” conversation. 〽️🏈
the rushing defense for Oregon being concerning is over blown. Illinois only got that many rushing yards from a 40+ yard run that shouldnt have counted when they picked up the flag for a clear block in the back. Also Michigan doesnt present much of a passing threat making it even easier to stack boxes, especially when you have Muhammad and Reed on the outside who can go man to man.
Everyone "squinting" and looking at meaningless garbage time rushing yard stats really don't understand how a mint defensive system works. Keep squinting, though.
Yes,that was a weak take. The Ducks backed way off in the second half versus Purdue and Illinois. They could have punched in more scores had they wished to embarrass those teams.
As an Oregon fan I somewhat disagree with the idea that it was all garbage time yards. Against Illinois absolutely, Illinois had like 84 yards at half. It wasn't close. Purdue is slightly different, Purdue was not efficient against our team but they were consistently explosive prior to garbage I counted 188 yards with 105 yards on 7 plays. Where you are right is that the mint defense stops the pass first which Oregon absolutely did. But between a few missed tackles, our first run first QB of the season and a short week off a big week I'm willing to chalk it up and say that defense did their job even if I didn't love all the big runs.
@@Shany64 118 of Purdue's 208 rushing yards were before the half on 18 rushes, and yes several of them were 10+ gains. The game was over (garbage time) at 11:42 left in the 2nd quarter with the score 21-0. 56 of those 118 yards came after that point on 8 rush attempts. I do think that there were some missed tackle issues (has not been overly common) so I am confident in our ability to clean those things up. When a team runs it 40 times and only attempts 19 passes, (67.7% rush split) when playing from behind, they are going to hit a number of those eventually. Yards don't win games, points do, and I think that when things tighten up in the red zone, we will make it more difficult for one dimensional teams like Michigan.
@@jacenmiller6504 I don't know if I could call a game as garbage time with 41:42 left and the score being 21-0 especially considering how our offense stalled for a significant portion of that game. If Purdue made that FG and didn't have self-inflicted false starts to start the second half the game is 21-10. and I know this isn't about what if's because no football game is but calling garbage time needs to be succinct and the game needs to be 100% out of hand for the opposing team. The fact is that this was despite the shut out a pretty mediocre showing by our defense. what helped is that their explosive plays just weren't all that explosive, yes 11-yard rushes count but you still need like 4-5 successful rushes like that to even score a TD. If you compare this to Illinois, we held them to 43.5% success rate, 8.7% explosive rate and a 5.26 YPP average on 23 plays before garbage time. This doesn't mean the team doesn't have "excuses" playing a run first QB with limited film, a short week, an emotional week, all can contribute to the play on defense, and I think to some extent contribute to a poor offense for most of the 2nd Q. The fact still remains Purdue ran the ball well and did so against our first team defense for the majority of the game, they just lacked any ability to finish drives, any passing threat.

@@TheJakekeller22 doesn’t matter Michigan is 130th out of 134th in the country on offense lmao I don’t care if Tom Brady came back your offense is still god awful
I'm a lifelong Michigan fan, and I just do not see U-M winning this game. Oregon is better than Michigan in just about every department, except maybe DL and TE, and that won't be enough for Michigan. I'm guessing Oregon scores 34-35 and Michigan scores 14-17.
The line on this game is crazy. It should be closer to -24.5 for Oregon. Something about the analytics don't compute for the computers that do this. Oregon been crushing the covers since BSU and this will be no different. Michigan has 0 offensive potential, unless they break a big play they won't score a touchdown. The physicality that they bring will be met by a more physical Oregon team. Oregon dominates from start to finish 44-6 with +3 turnover advantage in this game. Don't be surprised when the halftime score is 30-0.
Oregon has impressed me with their readiness for Big Ten play. They are strong, fast, and deep! Michigan is nowhere near as deep or as talented as last year. I don’t see Michigan having the horses in this one. It’ll take a miracle for them to beat Oregon this year.
One of Illinois long run had a block in the back they didn’t call so take away 40 of those yard. Plus Oregon has their 2-3s in starting the 4th. Just wait till we get Birch back
I think oregon is very good. Although i bleed blue, we wont win this game barring something unexpected. This is a good test for physicality for oregon though before the playoffs. I think this game will help them in the long run
Michigan finna show Oregon real Big ten football. Ever since the second half of the Texas game I'm getting the 2023 championship vibes all over again. Go Blue
I knew there was delusional people out there, but this might be the most delusional take I’ve seen. Sorry buddy, but Michigans offense is absolute dog water this year. It’s horrible. Combine that with a top 15 defense like Oregon and a high powered offense that will score no matter what, it’s a recipe for a blowout.
I get what you are trying to say about Oregon vs Purdue and Illinois but when you really dig down into the metrics of the game it wasn't all that close. Prior to garbage time against Illinois Oregon gave up 77 yards on 25 plays and had an INT. The explosive rate was 2/25 allowed and of the 77 yards 55 came on three plays. Illinois was not explosive enough or consistent enough to move that ball. Against Purdue prior to garbage they gave up 188 yards which is like 63 yards a quarter. It wasn't pretty especially considering 105 yards came off explosive plays. I just think the fact is Purdue wasn't very efficient to score and while they were explosive it just wasn't explosive enough. 11/13 yard runs are great, but if you aren't consistent enough you can rack up yardage but you can't finish drives. A few missed tackles a Running QB and a short week gave Purdue a lot more yards than I think they would have otherwise. As for Michigan, I don't think they have the QB play nor the skill at WR and TE (yes, they have a really good TE but i don't think he is enough of a difference) to effectively challenge Oregon deep or on the outside. If that is the case, I expect Oregon to creep their safeties at least until Michigan can prove otherwise. Oregon Covers in the first half garbage time by the 7:00 mark in the Third.
I see Michigan has essentially already collapsed for this season so I kind of see them saying “meh” and let themselves get completely ran over by Oregon… I only see Oregon possibly losing to Wisconsin in which Wisconsin is not really a great team but they’re seething for a rematch
There’s just a big gap between everyone who’s considered a playoff team and those who aren’t. I can see why people would complain about weak schedules even though it doesn’t look that way in rankings things can be wildly different on the field. Nonetheless Oregon won’t lose here they’ll probably lose in the playoffs if anywhere.
I wish you would actually watch Oregon before you comment on our "Rushing problem" we have fantastic rush defense. The numbers are skewed from backups and Jeanty.
Michigan’s TE no where close to as talented as Penn St TE. Only way Michigan wins is control the clock with a strong running game. Oregon will score over 20 pts so Michigan needs to score. I see Oregon winning but closer than the spread being in the Big House
The Michigan Wolverines are the best team in the country. They just won a Big Ten rivalry game with 0 turnovers and 0 penalties. That is harder to do than pitching a no hitter in baseball.
Where are you getting 20 for Michigan? There's no solid QB in the building, and we've already watched Oregon stop THEEEEEEE most overrated team in college football Ohio State on the ground. Michigan will be lucky to lose this game by 21 if they're that one dimensional.
THAT would be a shock, Michigan cannot pass at all so Oregon can focus completely on the run and they have a really pretty good Defense while Michigan cannot stop the pass and Oregon has maybe the best QB in the nation and a stable of awesome receivers, maybe the best group in the US.
This is a better prediction than I seen earlier, I could see this better than 35- 31, I could possibly see Oregon score 30+ on Michigan, I can't see Michigan scoring 30 +
Illinois only got that many yards rushing because they had one really big run that only even happened because of one of the most blatant blocks in the back that I have seen that of course was never called lol

I'm a lifelong Michigan fan, and I just do not see U-M winning this game. Oregon is better than Michigan in just about every department, except maybe DL and TE, and that won't be enough for Michigan. I'm guessing Oregon scores 34-35 and Michigan scores 14-17.
Best of luck to you sir! I wish I could be in attendance, Michigan is awful far from Oregon 😅
I’m glad you see reality. Unfortunately, Michigan really needs to address its QB play. I’m taking Oregon 42 Michigan 17.
I really hope Will Johnson is able to play! We really need him! Our linebackers need to play a flawless game.
Michigan's coach is on the hot seat. This game could be the one to see him get fired.
I think this game will help them in the long run
whats the weather going to be sat. that will make a diff. in the spread.
This is an exciting matchup for the Ducks. Let's go win one in the big house!!!
Oregon.s defense will shut Michigan
my prediction is Oregon 45. michigan 6
38-3 oregon
GO DUCKS 🦆🦆🦆🦆
Beat the wolverines
🏈🏈🏈💒
There’s just a big gap between everyone who’s considered a playoff team and those who aren’t. I can see why people would complain about weak schedules even though it doesn’t look that way in rankings things can be wildly different on the field. Nonetheless Oregon won’t lose here they’ll probably lose in the playoffs if anywhere.
I wish you would actually watch Oregon before you comment on our "Rushing problem" we have fantastic rush defense. The numbers are skewed from backups and Jeanty.
@@caseydarnell2551 facts and even the Jeanty numbers are based on 2 huge runs. We held him to short gains for the most part.
38-13 Oregon!
Michigan State hates Michigan’s guts! They wanted to fight as usual, but the Wolverines were ready for their crap.
Michigan At Home Dominates in the trenches and wins 17-10
45-16 Oregon. Michigan will move the ball but won’t get but one td
Oregon - 45
Mich - 17
Do the Lords work Oregon. - Ohio State fan
Go Blue!
Michigan’s TE no where close to as talented as Penn St TE. Only way Michigan wins is control the clock with a strong running game. Oregon will score over 20 pts so Michigan needs to score. I see Oregon winning but closer than the spread being in the Big House
Michigan's O-line and secondary sucks this season. Oregon 38-19
Michigan could score on Illinois lol I could see this game getting out of hand early 35-3 first half
Oregon wins it 35 to 17
Michigan needs a turnover or two and they need to be successful w the run. I think this one is tight in Ann Arbor
No covering. Michigan can’t get to 24 points and Oregon is scoring in the 30’s again so there’s that
The Michigan Wolverines are the best team in the country. They just won a Big Ten rivalry game with 0 turnovers and 0 penalties. That is harder to do than pitching a no hitter in baseball.
So, will a Michigan player goad an Oregon player into a fight to get thrown out?
Taking full game stats from blow outs it’s just irrelevant
Buck, Buck, Buck…….chicken little
How many home games Michigan got this year lol
it seems they are always playing at home
Sco ducks🦆🦆🦆
Where are you getting 20 for Michigan? There's no solid QB in the building, and we've already watched Oregon stop THEEEEEEE most overrated team in college football Ohio State on the ground. Michigan will be lucky to lose this game by 21 if they're that one dimensional.
Oregon’s game to lose.
Michigan looked much improved in that MSU game. Is Oregon going to win? Yes. But, I think it might be closer than people are expecting.
No. Oregon will win by 3 TD’s. Everyone underestimates Oregon’s defense. Michigan might score 10 points.
Oregon is going to destroy Michigan lol
michigan 24-20 dont ask me why, just got a feeling
Hope you’re right! But I think Oregon has this one.
THAT would be a shock, Michigan cannot pass at all so Oregon can focus completely on the run and they have a really pretty good Defense while Michigan cannot stop the pass and Oregon has maybe the best QB in the nation and a stable of awesome receivers, maybe the best group in the US.
😮
And yet Illinois beat y’all and we just demolished the same team that whooped y’all lol
Everyone feels stupid a few times a week I’ll forgive you but y’all ain’t putting 24 on the scoreboard
Michigan 23-17.
Only way that happens is if the refs keep missing turnovers and blatant calls.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Good Lord. You’ll understand by the fourth-quarter.
Michigan Men fight. I don't know too many that grew up in the inner cities of Michigan that have been in less than 50 fist fights in their life.
Lol lol why not 75? Or 100. How did you pull that number out
Lmao
Michigan football SUCKS!
Oregon 21, Michigan 24
This is a better prediction than I seen earlier, I could see this better than 35- 31, I could possibly see Oregon score 30+ on Michigan, I can't see Michigan scoring 30 +
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I don’t want Michigan fans to suffer, but they have so much hope in their team and it won’t end well on Saturday.
I'd have to disagree, Michigan front 5 is one of the best. Their special teams is amazing, elite QB world class coaching. Michigan 51 Oregon 1
Michigan will upset oregon 45-8
Lolllll
god bless you
😂😂😂 ya got score backwards sweetie 😂😂😂
Ya sure, Michigan would need to play Oregon 4 times to accumulate 45 pts.
@@cubegamer1210 very funny
Absolute curb stomp Oregon will dominate everywhere
Illinois only got that many yards rushing because they had one really big run that only even happened because of one of the most blatant blocks in the back that I have seen that of course was never called lol
Michigan is the better team
You being serious 😂
24-6 oregon
