This is probably the greatest demo of any product I’ve ever seen. Needless to say I now own a Shapeshifter.
There have been some Mylar classic quotes but "fuck me backwards with a brush" has be the new greatest ever one!!

Dont forget to try in preset mode ...press combo and morph, which randomises the whole module a great place to go if your stuck sometimes. Brilliant review as ever.

This thing is insane! First I thought it was really expensive for a wavetable VCO. But it's like having 2 Erica Synth wavtable VCO, a Qubit Chord, and MI Warps, a westcoast style Dual VCO and so much more! This thing is actually a bargain! I think I'll start saving up strait away!

definitely the most complex module i have ever owned. and it goes from nice chordy waves to wavetable noise destruction faster than you would think.... before i watched mylar videos all it would let me create was broken SID... this is a wild horse and if you want to tame it, this man has made the only videos explaining how... i really got 4 rather complex modules and learned them inside out before getting a decent grasp on what the shapeshifter could actually do for me... before it only did cerebral wavefolding lobotomy for me, now it´s like robo assisted neurosurgery. i d heavily recommend to hook it up to peaks, tides or maths as the obvious best companions...
I'd have called it the Pandora's box. That's a lot of voodoo black magic in such a small package. Damn this is a versatile module. I'd almost like it in a little enclosure all by itself, with just a touch of sequencer, midi-cv or keyboard attached.

way expensive for a single module
Not when you consider how many sounds and fuctions you can get out of it. It is expensive no doubt, but if you wanted to make these sounds with separate modules you'd probabaly end up spending way more, and use up way more power and space! I don't have one.... but i will get one! I'm new to it all so i kind of want to get the sounds out of separate modules first to learn my way more.....
This module is so insane. Indeed add a midi module and maths, make a box, add some keys and you're done
Holy hell! I didn't know I needed this, you fucker! Your amazing morphing sounds have sold me on it! Thought it was just another dual digital wavetable VCO. Boy was I wrong. Moved to the top of my want list.
Got pretty hung up on choosing between this and the e352, and rewatching your video helped me to choose the Shapeshifter. It gets weird in the good way. Thanks

Got my own Shapeshifter now. And it's such a brilliant piece of hardware. The sweet spots are amazing when you dial them in.

edit: did you know there is a Bastle module that is 1 hp, whose sole function (other than being a crypto blank panel) is to hold the dangling end of patch cables that are breaking a normalized circuit?

I love these videos :D. You're so passionate over all of this. And the results are great. And very informative. Just one thing: It would be great to hear the dry signal first before hearing the processed results. Sometimes it's difficult to know what's going on.

Cyclebox is still an amazing amazing oscillator, but depending on your needs it would make sense to think of this as an upgrade. Or have both...(I do! :3)
