Video idea: SPEED DRAFT 4 players draft numbers 1 to 13 over 3 rounds. They must build a bag using discs of only the speed numbers they have drafted; i.e. if I drafted 12, 6, and 3 I could only pick discs with speeds 12, 6, and 3. This could be from a pool of discs you agree to, your warehouse to show off some new discs, or the used bin for some random fun.
@@subspaceanomaly Trying to learn disc golf without being able to play catch with a Frisbee is like trying to ride a motorcycle without ever having learned to ride a bike. It can be done, but it's just not a good idea. More disc golfers need to just play catch...not "throw and chase."
@@ronjones-6977 agreed. throw and catch is also more fun, as your heart rate is higher and you can really get in the zone, feel the air and adapt and fine tune your throws and catches to perfection and maintain that flow state.. it's like the nice part of disc golf but maximised, and as technical and demanding as you make it. Disc golf is great though
You can sometimes tell if the 2nd team putting is going to make/miss the putt before it happens. The scoring graphic pups up before they throw if they make it. You know they are going to miss if the graphic doesn't pop up.
Seriously though, ultimate players have such a head start when they pick up disc golf. They've already got the athletic throwing motions embedded in their brains. I played with a guy once who had never played disc golf but had played ultimate for about 10 years and he demolished me by 10+ strokes. If it wasn't an awesome thing to see it would have been embarrassing
yeah definitely an advantage, in my country a few of us ultimate players took up disc golf and pretty much dominated straight away. You just get so much more disc knowledge and repetition on movements, and a kind of instinctual knowledge of flights.
@@subspaceanomaly I think that learning how to throw an ultimate disc that is so understable and touchy is such an advantage. To me throwing an Ultrastar more than 75 ft feels impossible, especially forehand. To have such control over something that hard to control is a great skill. I imagine once you pick up a disc it almost feels easy, the only thing you need to do is work on the disc golf form.
@@JaredTG. if you go to the park with a friend for half an hour with any regulatory and blast an ultrastar at each other you'll get the hang of it. I used to coach ultimate to kids and adults and there were 6 year old girls throwing decent forehands. It's probably true that disc golfers used to cranking overstable drivers might struggle at first, but as a throw and catch disc ultimately it's pretty accessible. I reckon you'd be great!

All baskets be chillin
nothing to really worry about
Has anyone requested a “just chilling” foundation tee yet? Would be a best seller for sure

Dude that basket fr just chilling
Really resonating with the, “Good throw, bad shot.”
So relatable hahaha
The ultibros layed down a smack down crushing the score they thought it would take to win. Good shooting guys.
“That’s why Brodie wins everything” 😂
In his defense Konner doesn’t watch the tour events
Came to the comments to type the exact same thing 😂
I love how honestly supportive Konner is 🎉🎉🎉
I'm really digging Dude in the white jerseys form. 🙌🏼 Forehand was looking great. Backhand was equally effective. 🔥 Niceee.

Go glad to see you guys film this course. I've played it many times back in the 1980s. And yes that makes me old.
Bogie Bros battles invitational : Doubles tournament with every team that has beaten y’all. Food for thought guys.
This is the course I learned to play in from 93 to 2006. Home course back when they had a water hole in the back! That was a fun hole!!!
I miss the gorge hole so much. They took it out right around the time I got confident enough to throw over it!
Need a compilation of all the times Hunter says “chillin” on the west coast tour. Got to love it lol.
Originally this course was backwards of this video. The tall hill with oak trees was near the end. 16:20 Looking NE at JPL.
These guys were some of the smoothest players I have ever seen.

The new tee pads, benches, and sign posts were put in a few weeks ago and are really nice. (We’re still waiting on signs for the sign posts though!)
