- Taxi Be in Diego Suarez is the center of the town's nightlife. There is a live band and a separate VIP room which is basically a small nightclub with DJ. The club is very busy from Wednesday-Saturday. Even Monday & Tuesday has a decent crowd.

Is speaking English enough to get by there?
Almost Nobody speaks English there, even the expats are mostly French and don't speak English. In my opinion, you would enjoy Kenya coast, Kampala Uganda or even Kigali, Rwanda more. If you really want to check out Madagascar maybe go to Nosy Be for a couple weeks of beach and nightclubs. I think they also have some day trips where you can see Lemurs and things like that.
Hey brother I only speak fluent English and some Spanish so I'm going to do my best and study some French before going to atleast know some phrases, I realize it's tough still but still want to check out Nosy Be for maybe 1-2m , I have travelled to Colombia and Philippines before , any tips for an English only speaker set on nosy be?
Im considering going to nosy be I know English and some Spanish so will try learn french as best prior to going, I am experienced in Colombia and Philippines but interested in Africa, do you think it's a bad idea to go if I'm not french speaker? If I go im planning NosyBe and maybe Tana, if the night life isn't expensive and I can sleep well that's all that matters but being there is different so figure I ask if I'm realistically underestimating how Madagascar is for the moving around as anglo foreigner. I read some English speakers go and rely on sign language but I'm going to do my best to at least be able to greet and invite ppl over
