The whole concept of recording yourself and then being able to look back at your first person memory through a 3rd person drone perspective is so awesome! It's like a tiny slice of Gods perspective of you. It solidifies the fact that that moment happened and that it truly looked epic. Life is suffering but it's how we react to that that gives life meaning. I love that there are other people out there who like to escape and respect the area they escape to. Good job sir!
I really love that you pray in your videos. I had gone to the same church since I was 14 years old, and the second to the last job I had I was the director of a Lutheran childcare center for 15 years. The childcare center was located at the church, but it was not the church that I attended. I was so incredibly committed to both. When I resigned from that job I was so burnt out that I left the church (as a whole) completely. I never left God and have never lost my relationship with him. I had to file for disability, but I’m able to travel now, and I have found so much of God everywhere I go. When I hear you praying in your videos I realize how much I miss hearing other people’s prayers other than my own because it’s just me and my dog Dexter out on the road, and unfortunately I can’t understand his language 😂

When I am in Washington State, I have a bad habit of staying in the same places/camping spots only because they are familiar. Your videos inspire me, and give me ideas of where to camp when I am needing to be close to my home base for whatever reason.
Camping has changed so much since i was a little girl. The tech has evolved and changed so much. From old nylon tents with a simple fly... and the big 8 man canvas outside, wool/cloth inside double layer winter tents with stove jacks. or the HUGE 16x8 sidewall tents (well usually 16x16 but it was 16x8 segments that you could stack) with the option to add a thick winter liner to them. Heat from wood/gas stoves, (i mean gas or diesel slowly dripping into the stove and being burned.) TO generators running electric heaters. And now buddy heaters, electric heaters powered by solar batteries, or even just a small solar battery that can charge in a day, and an electric blanket at night. (The idea of being able to have an electric blanket inside a sleeping bag while camping... just seems so new). It seems that fewer and fewer people actually hottent camp anymore for fun, instead only using it for basecamp work for hunting trips.

@@BaumOutdoors i wasn't as mucha bout the open fire, but something about cooking on a wood stove, with the wind and snow outside. Traveling miles by snowshoe, pulling the cargo sleigh, loaded down with the big winter tent, stove, and such. Most "rv" camping, isn't camping, its just taking a cottage out for a drive. without the fun of a wood stove in the cottage either. LOL. Though again, the option now for big powerbanks, electric blankets and such, leads to smaller "camper sleighs" for snowmobiles, which in many cases could be a great safety option, if a blizard rolls in and what not, you have a secure plate to hide and be warm. Add to that bike/ebike campers. a person who can't walk far, or carry a heavy load due to disability, could sit reclined in a recumbent e-bike, towing a small camper with solar pannel on it, drive out where ever, stop, set an extra solar pannel, let the bike charge while eating, take a nap in the camper, then pack up and continue the trip down the trail.
Kenny Baum, I am so glad you are Not afraid not pray on your show! So many people have been told they can't even talk about God/Jesus let alone pray to them in something that ends up being public! So thank you for doing so. Nice tent. I'm handicapped from an accident, so I can't even step foot in something that I can't stand up in - can't kneel, and if I end up in the floor/ground I have to be picked up, not helped up, but picked straight up until I can get my feet under me without bending my knees. Makes for an interesting time sometimes as I'm scared to death of falling! I weigh nearly 250 lbs too; my husband is strong enough to pick me up, but I always wonder about anyone else! My husband would love your tent though. He loves to camp, but hasn't been able to do much of it since my accident 25 years ago. So we watch shows like yours and dream! Yeah, Kenny, what else is them there woods?! And if that theres real gold, please let me know so we can come get some too! You made me laugh like crazy with your Wiley!

Most definitely! I find it to be a great tent. On the large side though with the inner tent but I think it’s a nice feature. A solid sleep system can’t be beat though.

Oct. 29, 2021----Thanks for the video as it's been too long since I've done any kind of outdoor stuff. What I was really interested in was your tent and it reminds me of the Brits army version which is also insulated. But I got a 3 man, 4 season tent I picked up a couple of years ago and I'm satisfied with it as I can put it on my backpack. I also use the 3 part military sleeping bag and ain't been cold in it yet.

Not sure of you location. I’m in GA. Near Augusta but west of it. We have many nice lakes and Savannah river to take us to ocean. I am 56, disabled but can still enjoy many thing (on a limited) capacity. I invite your travels to our area to video - explore. Our winters mild compared to your weather seemingly. I have very strong inflatable boat that will hold 1,000+ lbs. can row it or I get a 9HP gas motor. If you want company here I’ll be glad to go of course.

Get the three man version, cause they always smaller then what you think. If you want one person get a two person. If you want a two person then get a three person. Always buy a size bigger when it comes to tents 😉

Hi Kenny🙃. Greetings from Quebec, Canada. What a beautiful film! I agree with a comment I read: your editing is wonderful. Fabulous introduction to the 'pump-up' thermal tent. A 20 degree difference is pretty significant; I was impressed; I went camping this summer: the tent was too cold during the night and too hot during the day. Having an inner space that holds the heat at night, as your tent did, would be neat. Conversely, I wonder if the pump-up inner tent, with vents open during the day, would tend to not get too hot when in full sunshine? With two people in the tent on a cold night like you had, I imagine the temperature inside would have been another 15 degrees warmer, at least. Your canoe's floor seems wide, so it is stable; the front of the canoe is nicely tapered; it should, theoretically, cut the waves well; I wonder if you placed your paddling seat a bit more forward, put some of your lighter gear behind you, and with a better quality paddle, if the canoe might navigate a little better. Before changing canoes, try a good paddle, being seated a foot or two more forward; that might be all you need to do; switching which gear you put up front, or behind you can also make a difference in how the front cuts into the waves and holds its bearing. Try being 'bow-heavy', then 'bow-light'; see if that makes a difference. Great film. Thank you.
Thank you so much!! I was very impressed by this tent! I believe the Crua website states that it is supposed to keep you cool in summer as well. That’s pretty cool! lol I think the tent would definitely get much hotter with two people. I think I’ll test that out! Or maybe bring along a small candle (safety first) to see if that would heat it up some more as well. I will use your tips for the canoe! I think they will help me out a ton. Definitely need a new paddle lol I will get it all figured out someday 😊
Great video!! A suggestion on your canoe setup. When you are paddling a tandem canoe by yourself/solo you should turn the canoe around and sit it the front seat backwards sort of. This way you are closer to the center thwart/ the bar in the middle…this balances your canoe and helps you paddle more efficiently. Load your canoe with just a little more weight/including you in the rear. Not to much though as a balanced canoe tracks better. On the use of the J stroke. Leave your your paddle in the water a little longer at the end of the J stroke and use your paddle as a rudder to steer your boat. Your canoe you have should be fine…if you have a keel on your boat it would help it track on lakes but it can be a liability when running rivers as it can hit rocks and possibly flip you over. Stay safe and have fun!!

Nice tip! I wasa bit curious about that myself! I would have suggested going with a sit inside seak kayak or a Hobie perceptio kayak which has a skeg or rudder capability.

I have the Aero press as well, along with several other “on the road” coffee systems, but the Aero press is by far my FAVORITE. And at around $30 Us, it cannot be beat!!! You can make regular coffee (Americanos), espresso’s, and lattes with it. It is a must have.

Wow nice. I'm comfortable in just a hiking tent with good sleeping gear but that looks like it would make a lot of people happier to be out in cooler weather.
Most definitely! I find it to be a great tent. On the large side though with the inner tent but I think it’s a nice feature. A solid sleep system can’t be beat though.

I suggest that you replace the air mattress and air pillow with a 6" foam pad and a down pillow. You do not want to sleep on on cold air.

Oct. 29, 2021----Thanks for the video as it's been too long since I've done any kind of outdoor stuff. What I was really interested in was your tent and it reminds me of the Brits army version which is also insulated. But I got a 3 man, 4 season tent I picked up a couple of years ago and I'm satisfied with it as I can put it on my backpack. I also use the 3 part military sleeping bag and ain't been cold in it yet.

Such a simple but great idea. instead of "hot camping" with a thousand dollar stove/vent system, a liner make a lot of sense.

Not sure of you location. I’m in GA. Near Augusta but west of it. We have many nice lakes and Savannah river to take us to ocean.
I am 56, disabled but can still enjoy many thing (on a limited) capacity. I invite your travels to our area to video - explore. Our winters mild compared to your weather seemingly.
I have very strong inflatable boat that will hold 1,000+ lbs. can row it or I get a 9HP gas motor. If you want company here I’ll be glad to go of course.

Hi Kenny, greetings from the UK. What a beautiful location. Also that tent looks pretty cool. Think I would have sorted out my firewood and cooking set up first. Nothing worse than trying to sort these things out I the dark when your hungry and cold.
Yes that would of been smart! I tend to make things very difficult on myself and I don’t mean to haha! I will get a better grip on it someday! Especially now that the days are getting shorter 😬 really appreciate your support my friend!

Get the three man version, cause they always smaller then what you think. If you want one person get a two person. If you want a two person then get a three person. Always buy a size bigger when it comes to tents 😉

Beautiful camp location again Kenny! I bought a Mad River Canoe. It rides much smoother than the heavy Old Town canoe .
I’ll look into those mad river canoes. This old Coleman is tough but does not paddle well solo.

Hi Kenny🙃. Greetings from Quebec, Canada. What a beautiful film! I agree with a comment I read: your editing is wonderful. Fabulous introduction to the 'pump-up' thermal tent. A 20 degree difference is pretty significant; I was impressed; I went camping this summer: the tent was too cold during the night and too hot during the day. Having an inner space that holds the heat at night, as your tent did, would be neat. Conversely, I wonder if the pump-up inner tent, with vents open during the day, would tend to not get too hot when in full sunshine? With two people in the tent on a cold night like you had, I imagine the temperature inside would have been another 15 degrees warmer, at least. Your canoe's floor seems wide, so it is stable; the front of the canoe is nicely tapered; it should, theoretically, cut the waves well; I wonder if you placed your paddling seat a bit more forward, put some of your lighter gear behind you, and with a better quality paddle, if the canoe might navigate a little better. Before changing canoes, try a good paddle, being seated a foot or two more forward; that might be all you need to do; switching which gear you put up front, or behind you can also make a difference in how the front cuts into the waves and holds its bearing. Try being 'bow-heavy', then 'bow-light'; see if that makes a difference. Great film. Thank you.
Thank you so much!! I was very impressed by this tent! I believe the Crua website states that it is supposed to keep you cool in summer as well. That’s pretty cool! lol I think the tent would definitely get much hotter with two people. I think I’ll test that out! Or maybe bring along a small candle (safety first) to see if that would heat it up some more as well. I will use your tips for the canoe! I think they will help me out a ton. Definitely need a new paddle lol I will get it all figured out someday 😊

Great video!! A suggestion on your canoe setup. When you are paddling a tandem canoe by yourself/solo you should turn the canoe around and sit it the front seat backwards sort of. This way you are closer to the center thwart/ the bar in the middle…this balances your canoe and helps you paddle more efficiently. Load your canoe with just a little more weight/including you in the rear. Not to much though as a balanced canoe tracks better. On the use of the J stroke. Leave your your paddle in the water a little longer at the end of the J stroke and use your paddle as a rudder to steer your boat.
Your canoe you have should be fine…if you have a keel on your boat it would help it track on lakes but it can be a liability when running rivers as it can hit rocks and possibly flip you over. Stay safe and have fun!!

I have the Aero press as well, along with several other “on the road” coffee systems, but the Aero press is by far my FAVORITE. And at around $30 Us, it cannot be beat!!! You can make regular coffee (Americanos), espresso’s, and lattes with it. It is a must have.
