It was very nice of Jason to feature me on his channel this month, especially as I have been taking a break from YT recently. But unlike James Bond, - I am not dead, and I WILL RETURN soon! 😊
Peter is the best modelling channel, in my view. Really enjoy the chatty knowledgeable dtyle if okd snd new kits, esoecialky Matchbox classics. Long may it contimue...! Thanks for sharing.
Ahhhhh... A contemporary! The Matchbox Twin Otter, their Do18 and their Me410 are still my favorites to build. My brother was a Smokejumper, who jumped out of Redding, CA, Missoula, MT and Fairbanks, AK in the late 70s-early 90s. Twin Otter was the most frequently utilized jumper ship back then.
i have a lot in common with Peter. started with matchbox kit in 70s. life intervened when i grew up. came back to the modelling in 40s and no editing in videos. it’s all one take. 😅
Hi Jason, Peter does a great job with his videos. He is a great modeler and very knowledgably about the history behind the kits he reviews. It's been a while since I watched, I guess I need to do a bit of catching up. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Jeff
Really enjoyed this. I too can remember the step change from Airfix to Matchbox. They made some very decent kits in their day, some quite obscure aircraft, but as a 15 year old, it was the 1/76 AFVs that really had me hooked. Now I model aircraft, especially biplanes, after a 30 year absence!
@@ModelkitStuff I must have bought 5 Panzer 3s and converted them into different variants using plastikard and those marvelous little Airfix guides and back issues of Airfix magazine. Oh happy, happy days. I love your channel, keep up the good work.
I started with Airfix and Frog before Matchbox. 1/72, 1/600 , 00/H0, 1/144 etc. Frog had some unusual subjects. I still have a Frog R101 Airship, Miles Master etc. Later Frog teamed up with Hasegawa. Revell had some interesting kits and Renwall with some AFVs and warships. Info. came from Airfix Magazine, Airfix Manual, Scale Model Magazine and the modelling pages of Air International - a magazine that in its heyday had no equal. 'Aviation News' also had some beautiful centre page 3-way views. William Green has some superb books, which are still the bee's knees. Ian Allan had a big range of titles 'Mustang at War' 'Me109 at War' 'B29..' etc. Also essential were Aircam Aviation, with beautiful colour profiles. There was plenty of info on which today's modelling info. was built.😊

He's exposing his hands, runaway, runaway🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Good to see Peter back in front of the camera again, thanks for sharing Jason.
Oh, hello Peter! You’re in good company.
I thought that too 😂
Followed Peter for a while now. He’s a nice guy, if a little obsessed with vintage Matchbox kits.
I can't recommend Peter's channel highly enough.
Peter has hands???? and fingers wow. Loved matchbox and airfix when I grew up

I agree I loved the AFV on little dioramas, revisited the little desert seen last year, going to build Monties caravan this year

My favourite was the little Humber armoured car! ☺️
@@Peter-Oxley-Modelling-Lab Yes that was a beauty!
i follow his channel since 2022, i like his reviews, but i find funny his rants with some manufacturers.
I think he does them as people watch them, entertaining and some good points raised
👍👍

The man, the myth and. The tweed jacket.
Nice guy just keep him away from the booze and your kits.

Harsh, but wise words...😆
