Hi Suzanne. Laura is so beautiful 😊 I have been quite lucky when I have bought dolls from people. I did have one experience on Etsy that wasn't that positive. The reborn artist had written on her shop that she can save reborns for people to buy later if they can't buy them straight away. I thought that was great and I contacted her about her Sandie sculpt that was really beautiful and I told her that I wouldn't be able to buy that day but the next day I would so I asked if she could save her for me and she said yes. The next day I logged on and she told me that I took "too long" to buy the doll so she had sold it to someone else even though she said she would unlist the doll and save her so I could buy her later. I was very disappointed, every time I tried to get in touch with the artist after that she was very passive aggressive with me . I haven't contacted any artists on Etsy since. It's horrible that these situations happen. Take care xx

I always buy and sell my reborn on Ebay and never had a problem. They take a big cut when you sell a doll but I think it's worth it for the protection for the buyer and the seller!
Owning a brick and mortar store and paying employees and your own advertising and utilities and insurance cost way way more, yes the ebay fees suck but people really need to factor all above in....m ebay has millions of customers and advertises for YOU, if you owned a real store you would get maybe 200 customers a day to see your items, ebay puts millions of eyes on your items, for penny's on the dollar.

I bought a reborn a few years ago that looked so cute in her pictures. When she got to me… not so much. In her pictures they had wet her hair and had it all combed out so it looked like beautiful mohair. But when she got to me, it was frizzy and looked like cheap synthetic stuff. I absolutely couldn’t stand it so I gave her to my friend. There is a lot of trickery in photography. Not necessarily meaning by the artist. Dolls always appear much bigger in photos and when they arrive, they are much smaller than expected. Colors always look different too. I don’t contact the seller because I always worry about hurting peoples feelings. For me, I always think of it as taking a gamble. Congratulations to Dobby and his wife. I actually have never bought a doll because I could not afford to pay the price for a really high quality doll. Luckily I can paint them and I think they look really nice. I have seen some that people paint and sell and the quality is not good at all! Your dolls are all so beautiful.

Awww, Amber is a sweet lil watch dog, she’s doing her job, that’s wonderful that she feels territorial about you all and your house…she knows she belongs with you. I do love photographing my art, so I understand what you’re talking about concerning “natural lighting”, etc.., natural light tells the truth more so than manipulated light, that’s for sure. When you buy from a Master, that’s what you should get, a Masterpiece. Alexandra’s a Master…right up there with Rembrandt..no lie or exaggeration. Since you do action videos, it’s impossible to hide flaws..I never see any flaws in her work. I’m so sorry to hear she’s been flooded …that’s a terrifying thing to deal with, one never knows when the water will stop. I love the romper you put Laura in, she’s so pretty in pink!..and blue and yellow and orange and green and purple and peach and…well, you know what I mean, eh? Lol! Love you, Twink❤❤❤

One time I bought a toddler and in her photos she looked beautiful but when I got her .she Han veining that someone just drew them on after she was painted and the hair was so plugy and choppy . I wrote to the lady at first she gave me a hard time saying that they did not do returns but it was never stated and also she said everything was in the photos so I sent the photos back to her and finely she agreed to take the doll back and refund my money but it wasn't with out a fight. Yes, it’s happened to me to with a few dolls, usually with painting and rooting. Of course, mine were pre-owned and not from the artist. The latest fiasco, those, was with a Laura sculpt. The doll I received was nothing like the one in the listing at all. The doll was listed as an artist made reborn. It was supposed to take several weeks to complete. When I checked on progress, the person said they were finishing the rooting. I did NOT ask for progress photos, which was a big mistake. When the doll arrived it was a factory made replica of the Laura sculpt. I called the “artist” out on it, and they denied it was a factory doll and insisted they’d made the doll themselves. And they didn’t except returns. The doll wasn’t super expensive so I wasn’t too concerned about returning it, but I reported to eBay that this seller is a scam artist, and I told the seller I’d reported them. So. Live and learn.
Love that romper.. it is buyers remorse for some people… some even go as far as to damage a doll to get their money back! Some get messed around so much they no longer rust anyone😢

Love your Felicity. I have the kit just waiting to find a good artist who isn't crazy overpriced. I've had a couple bad experiences with sellers. One was on ebay and another was a well-known silicone artist. Luckily, both were pretty good helping me with the issues I had, although the silicone artist didn't listen to a thing I asked for when making my doll. In the end she was fine, but she didn't put armatures in her legs which I specifically asked for several times. She also forgot a few other things, but nothing horrible. I think she may be dealing with too much or something. It made bad feelings so I won't use her again.
Hii dear yee it did happen ones when I taught I m buying a beautiful twin B for only a 100 eur and it was a fake smelly thing !!!! Telling you the truth I m finally after 4 years saving I m waiting for a kimbry silicone doll Skyler from kimbry dolls !! And I m very worried as I saw box opening videos of her saying that she has shiny parts !! I don't know how I can cover them if my doll happen to have the same. She s about to come mid March and I wish to send you the box opening if she does come!!!

I was thinking I liked Dobby’s jumper. Alexandra’s babies are beautiful, she is a great artist. Yes when I got my doll the eyes were not the same ones as in the photos sent to me. I think the artists should work with the customers and be honest about what they are selling. I have seen lots of customers reviews saying the dolls are not the same as the photo, which is all wrong. Hope your dream in the next two days comes true x
I think Amber just wants to be in the camera shot and be a star too! Suzanne what were you using that you sprayed on your babies hair? Is it a ready made product. I haven’t had a disappointment yet but I’m more nervous than ever to buy dolls.❤❤❤ I did buy a doll from a prototype artist for $500 and really thought it would be a scam but she had no negative reviews. It’s my new Jasmine. She’s gorgeous but I don’t think every artist even if a prototype artist is the same. I actually bought a second baby from her. Archie by Julia Homa. He’s a darling boy. Really has personality! Different than most of my babies. They came from Spain too with no problems.❤❤❤
Not getting what you wanted has happened to me a few times. This one baby I paid $1,400 aud ( which we have to pay so much more) for a custom baby. The hair was horribly rooted. All the other photos of babies she has made are up to see all look great. I was so disappointed how she was as done. She has to wear a hat or bonnet to hide the bad rooted hair. I think what it is that some artist give themselves too many custom babies to do, that they end up not doing their greatest job. Your baby is so adorable, your very lucky to have her.

Wet hair on a doll in pics starts alarm bells for me because I immediately think rubbish mohair now.
I bought a doll many years ago that had pics like that like and her hair was awful, absolutely awful.

I have never purchased a doll that didn't look as good as the picture portrayed. I actually have never bought a doll because I could not afford to pay the price for a really high quality doll. Luckily I can paint them and I think they look really nice. I have seen some that people paint and sell and the quality is not good at all! Your dolls are all so beautiful.

I got a Doll from Ebay that is very cute & realistic but I was disappointed when it turned out that she was a smaller size than I thought she was going to be. I still kepted her since she is so cute. Awww, Amber is a sweet lil watch dog, she’s doing her job, that’s wonderful that she feels territorial about you all and your house…she knows she belongs with you. Laura is and will always be gorgeous. E-gads, seeing your and Chris’s Felicitys yikes!..it’s taking all my will power not to start painting my silicones, I have to wait til summer, cuz I have to paint them outside. I bought a gazebo to paint them in and everything. Alas, I’m so not a help with the musings topic, I don’t buy or sell dolls. I do love photographing my art, so I understand what you’re talking about concerning “natural lighting”, etc.., natural light tells the truth more so than manipulated light, that’s for sure. When you buy from a Master, that’s what you should get, a Masterpiece. Alexandra’s a Master…right up there with Rembrandt..no lie or exaggeration. Since you do action videos, it’s impossible to hide flaws..I never see any flaws in her work. I’m so sorry to hear she’s been flooded …that’s a terrifying thing to deal with, one never knows when the water will stop.

One time I bought a toddler and in her photos she looked beautiful but when I got her .she Han veining that someone just drew them on after she was painted and the hair was so plugy and choppy . I wrote to the lady at first she gave me a hard time saying that they did not do returns but it was never stated and also she said everything was in the photos so I sent the photos back to her and finely she agreed to take the doll back and refund my money but it wasn't with out a fight. Yes, it’s happened to me to with a few dolls, usually with painting and rooting. Of course, mine were pre-owned and not from the artist. The latest fiasco, those, was with a Laura sculpt. The doll I received was nothing like the one in the listing at all. The doll was listed as an artist made reborn. It was supposed to take several weeks to complete. When I checked on progress, the person said they were finishing the rooting. I did NOT ask for progress photos, which was a big mistake. When the doll arrived it was a factory made replica of the Laura sculpt. I called the “artist” out on it, and they denied it was a factory doll and insisted they’d made the doll themselves. And they didn’t except returns. The doll wasn’t super expensive so I wasn’t too concerned about returning it, but I reported to eBay that this seller is a scam artist, and I told the seller I’d reported them. So. Live and learn.
Yes, there are a lot of these dolls being passed off as genuine , it saddens me. 😢

Love that romper.. it is buyers remorse for some people… some even go as far as to damage a doll to get their money back! Some get messed around so much they no longer rust anyone😢

I've had a couple bad experiences with sellers. One was on ebay and another was a well-known silicone artist. Luckily, both were pretty good helping me with the issues I had, although the silicone artist didn't listen to a thing I asked for when making my doll. In the end she was fine, but she didn't put armatures in her legs which I specifically asked for several times. She also forgot a few other things, but nothing horrible. I think she may be dealing with too much or something. It made bad feelings so I won't use her again.

Hii dear yee it did happen ones when I taught I m buying a beautiful twin B for only a 100 eur and it was a fake smelly thing !!!! Telling you the truth I m finally after 4 years saving I m waiting for a kimbry silicone doll Skyler from kimbry dolls !! And I m very worried as I saw box opening videos of her saying that she has shiny parts !! I don't know how I can cover them if my doll happen to have the same. She s about to come mid March and I wish to send you the box opening if she does come!!!

I have had this happen to me before where a baby didn’t look as presented and it was my beautiful baby Beth Anne the one who came with purple lips and I had to have them redone. This is the only time this happened to me but it was so disappointing when I realized the color of her lips I was so sad!

I was thinking I liked Dobby’s jumper. Alexandra’s babies are beautiful, she is a great artist. Yes when I got my doll the eyes were not the same ones as in the photos sent to me. I think the artists should work with the customers and be honest about what they are selling. I have seen lots of customers reviews saying the dolls are not the same as the photo, which is all wrong. Hope your dream in the next two days comes true x
I think Amber just wants to be in the camera shot and be a star too! Suzanne what were you using that you sprayed on your babies hair? Is it a ready made product. I haven’t had a disappointment yet but I’m more nervous than ever to buy dolls.❤❤❤ I did buy a doll from a prototype artist for $500 and really thought it would be a scam but she had no negative reviews. It’s my new Jasmine. She’s gorgeous but I don’t think every artist even if a prototype artist is the same. I actually bought a second baby from her. Archie by Julia Homa. He’s a darling boy. Really has personality! Different than most of my babies. They came from Spain too with no problems.❤❤❤

Not getting what you wanted has happened to me a few times. This one baby I paid $1,400 aud ( which we have to pay so much more) for a custom baby. The hair was horribly rooted. All the other photos of babies she has made are up to see all look great. I was so disappointed how she was as done. She has to wear a hat or bonnet to hide the bad rooted hair. I think what it is that some artist give themselves too many custom babies to do, that they end up not doing their greatest job. Your baby is so adorable, your very lucky to have her.
