Hi everyone!^^
As promised yesterday in my latest message, I'm back with a new AMV.
First of all, I want to give you my best wishes for the holidays just passed: I hope you enjoyed nice Christmas and New Year.
Unfortunately, this year I had no time to make my usual Birthday AMV, since I had plenty of things to do during holidays, but finally my latest creation is ready for you.
It's been a lot of time since when I made a Vinland AMV, and the main reason is that I wanted to have much more material to work on, since this series strongly deserves every inch of my passion to be properly converted into good music videos.
And even if I promised initially to use Man of War for my first Vinland's video involving Sabatons, thinking twice I considered that as some you said, Swedish Pagans is simply the better one can imagine for this anime.

This is not a theme for Vinland Saga, but it fits perfectly for Thorkell! He is a Swedish Viking, and the title fits perfectly as well.

I love the lyrics being incorporated into the AMV. It makes it feel like an actual lyrical video. Far better editing than those tacky videos some people make where they don’t even bother to edit out the show’s subtitles (>.>)

That was a great thing to watch. As is the anime. First few minutes and I was:"yep, looks kinda historicaly correct, nice fighting! Aaaaaand here we go anime/Edda tails-like physics. So it is technically a 'historically' accurate anime, right?

You can’t blame anime logic for this one, that it’s actually pretty similar to how the sagas would portray the story
"Based on True Saga" not "based on true history" lol. And the show is called "Vinland Saga" so it was written as the retelling of the settling of Vinland from perspective of the main characters. But some of the history is "authentic" I believe.
I mean it's anime so it's technically exaggerated for action.
Holy damn this is amazingly well done. I searched up the song because it was stuck in my head, but really wasn't expecting an AMV.

I had this idea as well, but i'm not capable of making AMV's atm.. So glad you did this!
I do have to say, that some of the lyrics aren't correct. Correction in the beginning: Once you're hardened in battle, there's no coming back.. Fight or Fall.. (Instead of : once your heart is in battle,... fight for Thor.)

What is up with anime getting the visuals more correct than most western shows? Like, correct helmets, accurate clothing styles, even believable hairstyles for the time.
Seriously, the show Vikings didn't get this much right.
It's easy when you adapt the manga of an author that is known for being terribly careful and detailed when he describes different people and cultures

It's in season 2 where they landed in Sweden and encountered a certain person.
*fight or fall… “fight for Thor” doesn’t make sense. Vikings fought for Odin. “Odin’s calling” “first to the battle first to the feast” warriors feast provided by Odin in the great hall

its literally crap..Go stick on vinland aot jojo and vagabond but not this shit...Rapeserk is literally portrayed as manly and grown ass dark manga but in reality its just a repetitive crap with boring characters and not to mention the big ass boring dialogues that feel like paragraphs.. I liked it a lot but nothing attracts me into it anymore plus its plot became a crap with magic monsters and loli witches.Literal shit..
By some accounts Thorkell the Tall and Thorfinn Karlsefni were Christians, and Thorfinn was an Icelander and thus not Swedish. ;) Askeladd, though fictional, is half-Welsh and thus probably baptized as well, even if he behaves as a pagan in public.
