Philippines accommodation varies a lot, but Spin Designer Hostel in El Nido is seriously as good as a hotel but also has a social element to it! Of the various places we've stayed in Palawan its up there as the best place to stay in El Nido, for it's price, well worth the visit.

Just a tip for those who are planning to visit The Philippines November to January are the wettest, coldest, rainiest and stormiest months of the year here in the Philippines. Best time imo is from March to June.
BigBlackClock I have to agree with you, Nov to Jan is a hit and miss and very unpredictable but overall weather is wet, that's why I always go in April, best time ever as you mentioned
Yup completely agree, we've had some pretty bad luck but also went during an unpredictable time haha.
BBC is having a little fun with you. This year has been very unusual. It's mostly dry during those months. Lol March to June is horribly hot and rainy season usually starts in April/May. We did our El Nido vacation in January several years ago and it didn't rain one day.
J.C.J.C Have you watched their vlogs and from other vloggers? You can hear them talk about how bad the weather has been for these months. You said "March to June is horribly hot and rainy season usually starts in April/May" that doesn't make sense coz April and May are inside that March to June bracket. Mostly dry during November to January? After Tropical Storm Urduja, Typhoon Vinta and Tropical Depression Agaton passed through Visayas and parts of Mindanao so fuckin hot and dry here. My balls are glistening with sweat coz of the hot weather here right now. NOPE, it's bloody cold here right now with occasional rain.

Nice video guys, aside from the usual beaches, snorkeling and the lagoons, the walk around the town, the coffee shops and the beach front shots is awesome, I love it.
Hello Dan + Stacey....been following your vlogs and thanks for loving the country. The best time travelling in the Philippines is between January to April. Although April starts to be warmer as the Philippines has an early summer than most other countries. Try being in the festivals in January...Ati-Atihan in Kalibo(Aklan) , Sinulog , Dinagyang In Iloilo, Pahiyas (Quezon) in May. There are so many other places to see....have you been to Coron(Palawan) ? to Caramoan Islands , Siargao , Moalboal , Jomalig , Cagbalete among others lots and lots more. Stay safe in all your travels.

Yup they are the best hostel in El Nido. Lovely staff and always stay with them when I travel alone in El Nido that lady whom checked you in has been there since the beginning lol though some have left but the new ones are equally nice and helpful. I love Spin because of its Staff and the place too and the people you meet in that place from all over the world are lovely. .

I just want to suggest though, January is a month of festivities in the Philippines.. Religious festivities to be exact.. I suggest, no, I urge you to visit and enjoy Dinagyang Festival in Iloilo City, Sinulog Festival of Cebu City and Ati-Atihan in Kalibo. Hope you guys enjoy!

That's awesome dude, it comes up often as a good place so it's completely understandable haha. Not to worry, we actually have people following our route and quite openly telling us 😂 It's like a 3 minute walk to town, its perfect!

If you want to have an exciting adventure go to Donsol Sorsogon and have swim with the whale sharks! How about that?
Ah we swam with the whale sharks in Oslob, which is naughty, but such an incredible experience.

I was in El Nido this year and I must say the internet is a tragedy, but if you want to slow down life, this is a good place. Punctuality is the weak side of the Filipinos. There is life without a hurry, maybe outside of the drivers.
It's actually pretty decent at Spin! About the only place in El Nido we managed to get any connection

Well, I was born and raised in the Philippines but the country where I am living now have a cold weather so I get used to it. Whenever I go for a visit in my country I really cannot bear the heat and I am always sweating. This is the only reason why I said I prefer the wet season than hot summer. I am positive the sun will stay while you're in the Philippines so you can enjoy the beach and have those drone shots. I love you're vlog.
