@Smith-rb1qf Idk if it's just me, but I still got an unsettling vibe from all of the characters. In every conversation, something didn't feel right, which was very reminiscent of the OG games.
What makes Maria such a tragic character is that she's born out of James desires to see Mary again and so in the end, her purpose was trying to be together with him and he never considered why she did what she did in the end. In the Maria ending, where he does accept her, she ends up catching what Mary had, the person she's based on and due to the tone of his voice, he doesn't sound sympathetic, meaning what he learned in SH was all for nothing and he's just doomed to repeat mistakes.
The Leave Ending is so beautiful and tragic. He had convinced himself he hated her, but he was wrong. He was disproven by a single sentence. He didn't hate her, he hated her pain. He hated what it was doing to both of them. He isn't a good guy, but he did love Mary. It makes me cry every time.
I also like how in this remake, we see James showing Laura the letter which convinces Laura that James didn't kill Mary out of frustration and resentment towards her instead shows that James wanted the pain he and Mary, especially Mary couldn't endure anymore to end even if they couldn't do anything about her illness. Laura sees that in a way it's what Mary would've wanted. Making James adopting her seem more ideal and mutual between the two of them. When I played the OG, the Leave ending while depicted to be a more positive ending, felt off cause' Laura knowing James killed Mary yet still leaves town with him didn't make any sense, like you're getting adopted by someone whom you see as a killer. But here in the remake that one scene where he gives Laura the letter makes it better. ✉️🦋🟥

@@raulpetrola6770 it’s the fact the room in now empty, when the tape ends that’s makes wonder what just happened, like did James enter the tape?, is he in the past?, is he dead?, what happened to him
Yeah. It's probably a reference too of Silent Hill 3 with Heather and the Otherworld and her comment of mirrors being like parallel worlds. As James stares into the glass of the TV, he swaps places with his reflection right before the video starts again and enters a parallel imitation of what happened, trapping himself in a limbo where he wants things to go well. This new stillness ending is soo good. He was decided to kill himself until he felt her spirit and her presence, thus giving him strenght to go on with his life until they join together again

I was wondering if the UFO ending was gonna be the same as the original cos then it would need Harry, but I guess this will do. Still cool BTW. I genuinely wish that they'll do a Remake of SH3 cos Heather is cool
So, with the amazing delivery of SH2R by Bloober Team "Supervised" by representatives of the original Team Silent, I think they deserve to also do the next Remake. 'Cause they already got the formulation now. If the next remake is done by another studio, i'm afraid they'll be unfamiliar with the atmosphere of the game. I dunno wdyt guys?
I was extremely shocked when I got "In Water" on my very first playthrough. In the original you did have to go out of your way to achieve that ending, and you'll most likely to get "Leave" if you just play normally, but not here.
About the bliss ending, theres that thing in the silent hill revelations, where the guy goes to another dimension to find his wife. I think james did the sane thing in that ending. He can now be with Mary in that dimension, but can't go back, it's like heaven, but more like a.fog dimension
The one with the Dog ''The Ending Joke'' cracked me up. This answered my question why OG James speaks Japanese in the original 2001 game. Because they made it Japanese just like here in the Remake it was made by Poles and he speaks Polish.
I’m not sure why no one is commenting that the “happiest” ending is Leave. Sure, he says he hates Mary when he obviously doesn’t but he gets the chance to move on and he gets to know that Mary is at peace and wants him to be at peace.
So Bliss is James not coming to terms with what he did, and choosing to confine himself to the town, and it’s version of Mary. In term, trapping him in his own purgatory. Stillness is a little more hopeful, but ultimately kinda hopeless. James accepts what he did, but despite knowing there’s no getting Mary back, he chooses to continue to pursue Silent Hill in an attempt to find the real one; an exercise in futility if there ever was one. One is incredibly disturbing, the other is sad. Those are my takeaways on these new endings.
The one tiny gripe i have is that marias sort of unabashed sultry venom is perfected in the leave ending but she doesnt seem to have it down yet during the rest of the game. I wish they had revisited that before release but otherwise i think this was a really great remake.
i always get the bad endings in games that score your actions, cus i always explore, fight, and save resources too much that the game either A: thinks imma coward (signalis) or B: thinks im suicidal (silent hill 2)
I was waiting for Harry to show up in the UFO ending, but its OG James! Lol I like the detail of instead of speaking Japanese he speaks Polish in the Dog ending because of the new dev team.
well.... atleast james delivers the "better take care of that cough" with the subtle threatening tone as he did in the original. that's a plus... i guess
You talk about the deep respect in the rereading of the different endings of Silent Hill 2, but above all I see enormous enthusiasts who have canonized the theory that James had taken Mary's body with him. We can actually see his coffin in the back seats of James' car in "In Water".

You can hear Mary's voice is distorted like a VHS recording, but James' voice is normal when he's 'inside' the tape talking to her. He's mentally stuck in the past, and will never move on.
Well i'm a bit shocked when in dog ending they change langue to my native xd
Really dont understand this deaign choice
@@melooIn the OG, James speaking Japanese in Dog ending, and Team Silent was primarily Japanese. Maybe James speaking that language is probably what Blooper Team's native language is, reflecting that choice?
@@forcrit2562 bingo, blooper is a polish studio
Blooper didn't include all the images during the Dog Ending credits! Where you see Maria in bra and panties.
@@meloohello
I feel leave ending was true ending for silent hill 2
No. Its In Water.
@@kylereno5383Most likely in water because team silent devs agree and novel version had in water ending.
the true ending is whatever you desire it to be, the game was designed that way. don't let anyone decide it for you
I believe Leave is James in the afterlife after In Water happens.
I’ve also always believed Laura was a ghost.
nah, dog is canon
I’m in for a third remake and possibly a fourth. The developers knew what they were doing when they took over this project. And I’m all for it. Imagine the new stuff we could get for the other silent hill games.
We need a remake of 4 if only so the game can get the UFO ending it sorely deserves!
@@ElSilverWind Silent Hill 4 had that eerie tone to it especially the intro, and the ghost enemies should be revisited. They were interesting to fight against.
Hope they get the First silent hill remade as well
Silent hill 4 definitely needs a remake....a remake which actually puts some soul and personality in the main character...even the ghosts in that game had more personality than Henry.
I felt the ending when he leaves her and then meets a little girl it’s like true ending
Thats probably the best ending
Well in the novel in water is canon. And most team silent devs have said they think in water fits the most so do what you want with that info.
water ending - good ending
@@schizomani4c still feels like a terrible ending after mary's letter and the messages that the game tries to teach.
@@schizomani4c not true they said whichever ending the player gets is canon it’s up to your interpretation because we are James and I think that’s brilliant
I was wondering if the UFO ending was gonna be the same as the original cos then it would need Harry, but I guess this will do. Still cool BTW.
I genuinely wish that they'll do a Remake of SH3 cos Heather is cool
i think the graphics in silent hill 3 are fine the way they are
Voice actor did an amazing job. Im a man and hearing her voice shake as if she was going to cry, was making me choke up and about to cry.
I hate how the dog clips through the mascot head.
I dunno wdyt guys?
crazy dude
16:30 WTF IS THAT MAN, fking scary how he said that 😭😭😭 love it
Such a cold blooded narcissistic.
7:12 hawk tuah
Silent hill if it was good:
@@braziliantsar if you think that's good you have the mentality of James himself
spit on that thang Mary
38:40 Long time no see.... old friend
I was extremely shocked when I got "In Water" on my very first playthrough. In the original you did have to go out of your way to achieve that ending, and you'll most likely to get "Leave" if you just play normally, but not here.
I got the same ending. I was shoked at the end.
About the bliss ending, theres that thing in the silent hill revelations, where the guy goes to another dimension to find his wife. I think james did the sane thing in that ending. He can now be with Mary in that dimension, but can't go back, it's like heaven, but more like a.fog dimension
That new stillness ending is amazing just pure emotions of James.
The one with the Dog ''The Ending Joke'' cracked me up. This answered my question why OG James speaks Japanese in the original 2001 game. Because they made it Japanese just like here in the Remake it was made by Poles and he speaks Polish.
Both of the new endings really got me like I was not expecting to be so hurt by those
SH2R alt-endings didn’t grip me like the OG experience. But all in all, this was killer and I am looking forward to future SH remakes.
38:47
Don't try it with Shiba Inu
Dude, the new UFO ending was really scary...
33:57 the feels . just like the original.
they miss out the pyramid head ending...
now imagine James with psychosis and all of silent hill's residents were monster...
James always love his jacket 🤣 been wearing that even 3 years earlier in the tape
I really love how they updated the UFO ending with OG James. I also really liked the new Stillness ending.
NOOOOO HE NO LONGER SAYS “OMAE NO SHIWAZA DATTA NOKA”
The fact that they changed the ufo ending by using og james is hillarious
The one tiny gripe i have is that marias sort of unabashed sultry venom is perfected in the leave ending but she doesnt seem to have it down yet during the rest of the game. I wish they had revisited that before release but otherwise i think this was a really great remake.
The last 2 are obviously the canon ones.
Ufo and dog ending is still the canon :D
came for the Doggo ending, wasn't disappointed, also love how Space James is actually his PS2 OG version 😂
7:10 the rain drop 😂
in imho, Looks like the game lives up to the hype..
I'm Dying with the UFO ending & their Texts written in COMIC SANS Fonts.
Bloober Team didn't miss a single thin... Cough Cough HD Colectiough!🤣
Fun fact: the voice actor, Luke Roberts, for James is the same actor who portrayed Arthur Dayne in Game of Thrones.
I dont know why but the facial expression especially of James are so humanly and realistic it’s frightening
i always get the bad endings in games that score your actions, cus i always explore, fight, and save resources too much that the game either A: thinks imma coward (signalis) or B: thinks im suicidal (silent hill 2)
Props to them for adding two more endings to the game even tho some would hate that too
The water ending is going to haunt me forever😭
The fact that UFO ending uses Comic Sans is just pure gold
I was waiting for Harry to show up in the UFO ending, but its OG James! Lol I like the detail of instead of speaking Japanese he speaks Polish in the Dog ending because of the new dev team.
Bro, James was so cold towards Maria in that ending 😂 even her looks so sad due to his careless behavior
Dang you got the endings so fast
37:45 heart jumped a little
I was literally yelling at the water ending now I'm crying 💔
So I'm assuming the best ending is the "leave" ending?
- It's super sad but at the end of the day it seemed as James will learn how to live again!
16:30
So cruel James 😟
Even her looked so sad
well.... atleast james delivers the "better take care of that cough" with the subtle threatening tone as he did in the original. that's a plus... i guess

I realised that space James looks like the original silent hill 2 James.
You talk about the deep respect in the rereading of the different endings of Silent Hill 2, but above all I see enormous enthusiasts who have canonized the theory that James had taken Mary's body with him. We can actually see his coffin in the back seats of James' car in "In Water".
In my opinion you get the ending what you secretly wanted for James to be 😂 o remeber when i palyes original i think there was water ending because i kinda was scared of that game and wanted to rush it with James barely walking, while now i really liked the design of Maria and constantly was with her
Holy shit! The 2 new endings are so depressing. I really love it.
Can'yt wait to play it tomorrow
UFO ending SPACE James is Original Silent hill 2 THAT James
Ok, can we talk about how the UFO ending is the best ending ever???
THE DOG ENDING?!?!??!
i got leave ending and it made me tear a little aint gon lie
The fucking comic sans in the UFO ending
The new UFO ending is really cute.
What the heck😂 37:30 what a goober.
New bliss just reminds me of 2 episodes of the Twilight Zone
how the hell does one make an ending even sadder than the in water ending? take the shirtless pics from the dog ending credits. jk, but seriously, those new endings hit hard
