As a woman of Portuguese origin, I think you are half right about "trombas". They apply to women and men equally, in my opinion. If you want to find out how quickly they transform men's faces, stand outside a soccer stadium after Benfica has lost a game and just watch.... Personally, I don't appreciate any tyype of stereotyping but you made some interesting observations about the culture and relationships between people.
If Portuguese woman's are the best, why today many Portuguese single men's are single? And those that are not single decide to search for foregneir woman's?😂
Being a Portuguese woman, I find your video quite amusing! Are Portuguese women big spenders? I don’t agree with that statement, many Portuguese women save as much money as they can, and are good at budgeting money to buy things that are important like a home for example, since many Portuguese women came from poor families and they didn’t have much growing up!
Not all portuguese people like football, have high spending habits or have a nice relationsip with the family of origin. It depends on the sociocultural level. Many have a very germanic approach to life. Not being direct when liking someone ou needing something is totally enerving
Portuguese here. I only don't agree with the signs thing. They give us signs. Have you considered being German, a country with a different culture, you mint not ready to recognize them? Never the less, you're subscribed.
Utter trash, full of stereotypes. The world has changed dramatically since you met your wife 20 years ago. Online dating is now the norm especially for young people, and especially on apps. That has given rise to different types of behaviour, a search for instant gratification and unwillingness to invest time and effort building a relationship, easier just to 'swipe' left or right on an online profile. That has had profound consequences for people looking for a steady partner, marriage mate and starting a family.
As long as it's an informed opinion that shouldn't be a problem. I know as many dumb opinionated men as women, loud and big mouths regardless of gender.
Here's my honest 2 cents, in case someone is interested in getting a Portuguese boyfriend or girlfriend. And obviously I’m speaking in general, just like the author of the video. I don't notice much difference between Portuguese men and women, stereotypically speaking, except maybe that men enjoy going out with their male friends and have some drinks with them, whereas women don't usually have that habit. Otherwise Portuguese men and women are basically the same: both tend to be very talkative and sometimes loud, both like to play games when flirting and dating (what I mean is they're usually not very direct people), they smile a lot and try to be funny all the time, they tend to be opinionated (even if they aren't very knowledgeable about a given topic), they tend to enjoy food and eating out, they like to spend money on nice things (especially for showing them off, a bit of "new money" behaviour so to speak), and they like to visit places and be seen visiting places (for example it may be important to put it in social media). One big thing about Portuguese people, man or woman: they tend to be very patriotic, extremely proud of being Portuguese. It seems to be a big part of their identity and they like to make it known wherever they go. And yes, as mentioned in the video football is very important to most Portuguese people, even to the point that it agitates them more than, say for example, scandals of political corruption or cases of social injustice. In comparison football really is a serious matter, very emotional too. So if anyone fancies a bit of a talkative/loud partner, someone who smiles a lot and tries their best to be funny, probably not very cultured or intellectually stimulating as in "more street smarts than book smarts", someone who likes to eat and go places and enjoy the sun, then a Portuguese boyfriend or girlfriend is probably an option. But those who prefer a more intellectually challenging partner or perhaps with more cultural bagage, with a more serious or calm demeanor, then better look elsewhere because I'd say that's not typically Portuguese. But hey, stereotypes are only worth so much. For example I don't see myself in the description in the video at all, though I know many people who would fit that description more or less. PS: I am Portuguese. Actually I left out a couple of negative points because I wanted to be real and useful but also keep things light.

@@anjitocruz2292 Sadly I am right. For the average Portuguese, there is no money left in the wallet for culture.
