So pleased you are starting to improve Elliot. I had sepsis a few years ago and it took almost 2 years to feel completely like my old self again. Thankfully I had no lasting damage. I have just used your purdy and fig code and tip, I have wanted to try it for a while but it was a bit pricey. £7.95 is a bargain, I can't wait to find out what it's like. We have fruit trees. 2 apple, 1 pear and 1 plum. The yield is very much governed by the weather each year, some years we have to prepare and freeze fruit others we get very little. We also grow potatoes in bags which do really well along with various other veg. We are currently trying to clear an area to install a greenhouse this year. I have to say watching you trying to build the raised beds was hilarious I would love to see the outtakes 🤣
So pleased you're doing well after your ordeal. After my husband's similar ordeal a year prior to yourself, he has picked up viruses at work & I must admit it scared him & me initially but he's still very much here, working, socialising & booking holidays 😊❤. Its a real shake up but you learn to be cautious within the realms of having a life & you're on top of any concerns straight away. You have plenty to look forward to ❤. x
So sorry about your lab phobia. I too hated having blood drawn, but for me the hands are the absolute worst. I have learned that if I relax it goes much much easier. I do some deep breathing and put my mind in in a place that I love and it’s just so much better. I usually have them draw from my elbow area.
Bless your heart Elliot, I hate giving blood because I have extremely small veins and they roll so I’m always getting stuck more than once. I’m don’t have the same issue as you but I definitely get very high anxiety and my heart is jumping out of my chest, it’s horrible I absolutely must walk in when they are ready for me because if I wait inside I normally just leave
Biggest Hugs Elliot. Due to my autoimmune I have had from birth all membranes skin etc is 1/3 the thickness of normall, so veins roll, collapse, disappear, the aftermath is much bruises. Pediatric equipment seems to help, thank you to the specialist who tried that one. I understand the phobia I had it since a child and a very inventive pediatrician who helped me learn similar tactics you use. I agree anything you haven't planned for will collapse all the planning and facade we build. So sorry. Recovery naps are heaven. Beautiful garden. Lovely garden at the castle. I love how they work with you even though you are doing a lot of your own planning. Lovely sounding coffee and cleaning system. If I lived in the UK I would try both. It took a while to find ones I like. Tea is the same took a while, as companies have changed hands, formulas been switched, I get my organic Japanese green teas from a small family business with family farms in Japan. My black tea is from India also family business. Matt is a chef extraordinare, self taught. I enjoy seeing him cook. That would make a great channel but a lot of work. Not a teaching channel just a watch me cook one. We had the sun and cold about same time. Monday hit and lots of snow. Not that I care, I just want my cough to go and feel a bit better, my fault I let myself get chilled. So it is better Elliot to be overprotective and cautious so you don't get sick, believe me.
You ordered the best planters! Wood rots from the bottom up. Because how the metal in formed its perfect for all temperatures and The metal is sealed. I’m so glad you’re healing!❤️
Bless ya. Understand the phobia. Tip from chemo sessions.....warm arm/ hand beforehand with a hot water bottle. Raises the veins x hugs I cried every time x
I also struggle with blood tests. I was advised to stay hydrated both on the day and the day before, to stay warm, wear layers for the test and to try to relax. I take my headphones with me to try and zone out. My veins collapse, my mother was the same. I have to be tested every 3 months as I am type 2 diabetic and on meds for it. Most times the phlebotomy nurse has to take it from my finger tip. You are speeding through the wedding planning. Ours was planned in 5 months, we had a register office ceremony, photos in a house ruin (Witley Court, an English Heritage property, it’s stunning!) then a buffet reception at our local pub. Money was not overflowing so we had a definite budget. We also came from huge families. That was 25 years ago, next week is our anniversary. I hope you get positive results from the bloods. I totally agree about all the viruses etc. Our daughter is at uni, and picked up a virus in November that lasted until after new year in total, it went on to her chest, and she ended up on 2 different antibiotics for a chest infection. She is asthmatic so has to be careful. She had meant to be revising for her 3ams over the Christmas break, but was so poorly. Thankfully she has now recovered as the exams are this week.
I once came out of hospital with buds on each hand and on both feet - plus one on the arm - nightmare - just let all your frugg egg bds and family know that anyone with the lurgy needs to let you know and not turn up at your house with germs - the only thing is people are usually most contagious ‘before’ they actually feel ill - just got to be careful
Elliott, hypnotherapy is wonderful for phobias. Ive had a terrible phobia of moths and butterflies since as far back as I can remember - screaming, terror, frozen to the spot - and was completely cured by hypnotherapy. It's nothing like you would imagine, you're always aware and in control. Highly recommend.
There’s nothing worse than when they can’t get a vein! My second dose of Chemo it took 25 attempts to finally get a vein!! Every time they got it in, my vein collapsed….. my absolute worst experience of getting a line in
Matt - you will be ok Pet. You look much healthier than a few weeks ago, but as a person who has had low immunity, it is something you will need to consider your entire life. You will have to ask people if there is anyone at the gathering that is sick etc. I have had to excuse myself from gatherings of people to preserve my immune system long term. My specialist told me to just be careful and use common sense when it comes to places with a lot of people.
Hello Elliot, I'm sorry you've faced such a struggle with your blood test attempts. You'll surely overcome this problem. I'd like to suggest Portugal as a "mini moon" destination for you and Matt who enjoy beautiful beaches and picturesque places. A big hug for the you all from Uruguay. ❤
My major gardening problem is the midnight marauding munchers (deer/wild turkeys and maybe bunnies) so i must put pots on patio tables or in my greenhouse. Otherwise nothing lasts for long. 😩
Oh Elliot it must be awful to have a phobia like that feel for you lv hope everything goes well. At least you are getting there know great news ,and Matt is doing well with his keep fit. Take care x😊
Hi Elliot I have a low immune system too due to a condition called Alpha 1 Antitripsin so this time of year I don’t go anywhere not even shopping so I get how you feel about it all …
Hi Elliot I used your Purdy & Figg link . I’ve tried before and was due some more but cancelled it as this was such a good deal . So thank you for sharing 👍
I have the same problem as you Elliot I faint every time I have a blood test and I cry and feel sick, I’m 66 and your right it gets worse as you get older unfortunately 😢
Hey, I had the same problem with 'tests' (as in nothing coming out). I find that if I'm warm and my heart rate is up it comes out. Hopefully you won't need any more for a long time, but I thought I would pass this on, just in case it helps you too.
Hi Elliot & Matt, me and my wife went to Cheshire oaks the other day and went into the Wittard shop and OMG! have you tried their hot chocolate? The one I tried was chocolate orange flavour. It was simply divine 😮 well recommended if you haven't tried it already. Might be a good idea to add it to your coffee selection lol. They was offering a sample for customers to try in the shop. The staff was so friendly too. Hope you and Matt are doing good, lots of love Kev & Katie
Ok so best advice with coffee is to buy a coffee scale. As a rule you want 30g of coffee to 500g of water. There is a famous you tuber that has some great techniques to enter the rabbit hole that is delicious coffee 😊
Does Matt ever get sick of cooking? It is that when you get takeaway? I was fortunate to have partners and share house people who liked cooking, I never really got into cooking. I like the collage around 10 minutes into your video. Poor Rory. Hope he's back to normal. I don't remember gooseberries had thorns on my gran's bush, but that's a very long time ago, I mean decades since I remember getting berries off the bush.
You were so nervous you sweated out all of your hydration and that makes it harder to get blood drawn out of your veins.I used to have the same problem. Not the phobia, but the person always had a hard time getting blood out until they told me I need to drink a lot of water, like right before you come here and I said I didn't know that.
The little bit of footage I saw on your last video was great fun. It is all of us trying to put things together and things always go wrong. I am a lot like you. I do quilting so there are specific instructions that must be followed to piece together complicated blocks. I try to go by pictures and common sense. And lots of time I am successful. But not always. So I have learned my lesson. It’s great brain exercise I tell myself! Oh my GOSH! Taking blood on the top of your hand is barbaric! That should be saved for if you are in the hospital. Here they usually take it from the inside where your arm bends at the elbow. It does sound like you were a bit dehydrated. Don’t feel bad You are not the only person that hates that procedure.
Drink heaps of water before you have a blood test, that helps them get blood out. It helps them, the phlebotomist gave me that hint and I've no problems since, drink like 400ml or a bit more and that should do the trick. You're a brave man, I can never look either I just ask if they got some. Oops you talk about that so sorry for that. I don't drink that nuch but I'm a woman not sure if that matters.
Could you try psychoanalis help to get over your phobia. Doesn't help when your veins aren't good either. Always make sure your mega hydrated as your veins sink when your not. I'm amazed that it takes so long for your blood results as there are different tests but I've been amazed at how fast my results have come back in and often shockingly it's a mere24hrs and they are back at the Drs office.

Always drink lots before having blood taken and as hard as it is relax, makes it so much easier. Blood donor nurse here 😊

Happy upcoming anniversary!! X

Loved the garden flogg❤
My major gardening problem is the midnight marauding munchers (deer/wild turkeys and maybe bunnies) so i must put pots on patio tables or in my greenhouse. Otherwise nothing lasts for long. 😩
Elliot, I purchased the Perdy and Fig cleaning pro ducts, have to say very impressed, think I’m converted, so thankyou xx
Sending hugs and healing prayers 🙏 to you my friend Eliott and Matt
Aww bless you….you have got this …you did it before so you can do it again and before you know it it will be over x

Hey wedding guys❤❤
Hi Elliot and Matt hope you are both doing well.
So bummed! I really wanted to try the Purdy and Figg but they are not shipping to the US as of yet. I emailed them just to be sure. 😔
❤
I love where you have the metal garden but just don’t make sure you have enough space for the lawnmower unless you’re going to use a weed eater
Plan on barking over the part behind it so no mowing required. The less mowing the better! Lol 😂
Continue to eat healthy and stay up to date with your covid boosters, and you'll be fine!
We are baking in 40 Celsius here in Australia 🙁
Elliot it is very important too drinkplenty of water so your veins get exposed i know from my experiences it works lol denis from Australia xxx
Elliott get some numbing cream from the chemist for your hands before the procedure denis from Australia xxxx
They are so nice and friendly in store!
Its all worth it to see you 🌹🌹🌹⭐⭐⭐
Ok so best advice with coffee is to buy a coffee scale. As a rule you want 30g of coffee to 500g of water. There is a famous you tuber that has some great techniques to enter the rabbit hole that is delicious coffee 😊
Numbing cream from the chemist on your hands right before the blood test
I used your purdy link, thank you Elliott
Be very careful with the cat litter, there is a chance of toxoplasmosis from the poop 🫣
Does Matt ever get sick of cooking? It is that when you get takeaway? I was fortunate to have partners and share house people who liked cooking, I never really got into cooking. Come on Elliot, get a drill 😂

Oh my GOSH! Taking blood on the top of your hand is barbaric! That should be saved for if you are in the hospital. Here they usually take it from the inside where your arm bends at the elbow. It does sound like you were a bit dehydrated. Don’t feel bad You are not the only person that hates that procedure.
See you soon.
🇬🇧🥰
Will you be making the dodger lady homemade gooseberry wine.
I hope there is lots of DRAMA ;)
Could you try psychoanalis help to get over your phobia. Doesn't help when your veins aren't good either. Always make sure your mega hydrated as your veins sink when your not. I'm amazed that it takes so long for your blood results as there are different tests but I've been amazed at how fast my results have come back in and often shockingly it's a mere24hrs and they are back at the Drs office.
I think by NHS rules they have to test it within 24 hours however takes longer for the feedback!
