  • a Neil Capolongo film...The year was 1953. Edward Capolongo ( 1913 -1974 ) of Brooklyn, New York and his first three sons, Edward Capolongo Jr, Albert Capolongo and Neil Capolongo were heard on the radio talent show "Live Like A Millionaire." The boys sang "The Blue Tailed Fly" and Dad played "Dark Eyes" on the violin and "Tea For Two" on the tenor saxophone accompanied by the house band. The home movies seen here were shot mainly by Edward Capolongo on his Revere 8 mm movie camera. The sound is from a 78 rpm record of the show that was given to the family by the radio station as a memento. This film was conceived and edited by Neil Capolongo.

Thanks Tom!... I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I actually remember rehearsing for and doing the radio show! My Dad brought his wind-up 8 mm movie camera wherever he went; and shot all this footage...Thanks Dad!

Dad shot all the footage... except, of course the footage of himself...He would hand the camera to someone to get some shots of himself... so glad he did!

This is very cool! I stumbled upon this doing genealogy research tonight. Loved the video of your mom playing piano as well.

Thanks Doug!... My Aunt Lillie, on my father's side, of course had Capolongo as her maiden name... but her married name was Garone...
