No I believe it was just years of no maintenance. I believe the clutches being so bad is why the belt blew.. the primary was so wore also but the guy didn’t want to pay any more for parts lol
Right on I’m about to go look at my dads here now, same thing sort of happened so I decided to look it up first, he was mobile all day and randomly it came to ah stop, now when it’s in neutral it will start but if u put it in gear it dies or if u put it in gear while off and try to start it try’s to move. So I’m thinking belt praying not clutch
Think it’s possible once the belt went , the torque on it blew out the secondary or it’s from abuse over time??

Definitely something wrong in the clutch area by what you just described.. just have to get in there and investigate
Rollers on the spider wore out and caused it to bind up
