Mike Bernard, the Ragtime King, plays his arrangement of a selection of folk songs as a special tribute to the United Kingdom on piano. The two parts are entitled:
-Emeralds and Heather Medley (Introducing Irish and Scottish melodies)
-A Trip Across the Pond (Introducing old Irish and Scotch airs)
Mike Bernard was an accomplished piano player who won many competitions and has several well known pieces to his name, such as 'Lemon Drops', 'Tantalizing Tingles', 'The Rag-Time King', 'That Ticklin' Rag', 'Blaze Away', etc. What makes him stand out is his piano solos he recorded, something most composers of the time did not do.
