Shame on any Purdue “fan” who said that to Braden’s dad. Braden is the best point guard in the country and we are lucky to have him. Go get ‘em, Braden. We love you man.
If you try to pick a fight with a freshman kid's family when he's at his lowest... where no one thought at the beginning of the season they'd even be in that position in the first place, you deserve everything coming to you in the form of karma. - REAL Purdue Fans
That was a special gesture, leaving his shoes in his locker for the younger kid. He inspired the entire program. I bet it has a lot to do with the success they’re having now.
Great video.. people think these young men are, luckily or maybe naturally talented, and they are. People completely miss the hard work and extraordinary, effort, these young men put in. Great players don’t happen by accident! It comes through hard work dedication and perseverance. I’m impressed young man. Thank you for your contributions to our great team this year. I’m willing to bet the whole team has similar types of stories. Boiler up!
Been a fan & supporter of Braden's since he got to Purdue...even supported him on another youtube post when some guy dissed the move after his commitment to Purdue. And he certainly has not disappointed. Would love to see him & Loyer bulk up even more, continue to improve & leave Purdue one day as graduating Seniors together as the best guard tandem ever ! With a chance to play regularly in the Pros...
Unfortunately, he was unfairly overlooked for the Cousy award. Despite having the toughest schedule and an impressive resume, he played against top-tier point guards and consistently delivered outstanding performances. While he may not be the leading scorer among point guards, his role is not primarily focused on scoring, especially with Edey as an option to pass to. The committee made a significant oversight in excluding him from the ballot.
I’m not calling Braden‘s dad a liar, but that is incredibly hard to believe that Purdue fans treated him like that. I’ve been a fan of Purdue athletics for decades, and I’ve never come across anything like that. Purdue fans are actually pretty classy. If true, that’s shameful and absolutely ridiculous.
you dont understand the hate purdue and he got from that game. It was absolutely brutal. I got comments from everyone I know just because of that game, imagine being on that team.
@@Sadhrueisixkc Unfortunately I do know. As I said before, I’m a Purdue fan. I heard plenty of ribbing about it. But to go after our own players (and families) about it after they’re devastated is insane.

Great story of a young man overcoming adversity. From covid to overzealous fans, I hope he goes far.
Thank god the s and c coach opened up his garage for the kids to train

Exactly
Freshman wall.
That was the problem- NOT the player.
I suspect the second time will yield different results.
Braden up!!
@@stripeytawney822 you were right. What a season! Boiler Up!
Awesome year, Braden!!!
Awesome story! Thanks for sharing. Keep up the good work. Continue to not let doubters slow you down. Boiler Up!

I feel so bad for Braden and his family that people treated them that way. He plays so hard all the time and didn't deserve that!
Best Westfield Shamrock basketball player ever, hands down!
Those people who were trying to fight them are not welcome in the purdue community
Everything about this kid makes me proud to be a Boilermaker!
I feel disgusted that Purdue people attacked any of the players or family. Those people are losers.
