Ich finde bei solchen Videos jede Menge Kommentare die eine ähnliche Meinung wie deine vertreten...ihnen wurde dann ja wohl nicht der Mund verboten.
Und zum anderen was der andere Kommentar nur ausdrücken wollte ich denke das wurde etwas missverständlich ausgedrückt: so lange du nichts sinnvolles beizutragen hast außer "ich würde ja gerne was kommentieren" kannst du auch genauso gut nichts schreiben, da solche Aussagen immer mehr den Dialog ersetzten.
Wenn du so eine Meinung hast dann sei ein Mensch mit Verstand und such dir Menschen mit einer anderen Meinung die ernsthaft Argumentieren wollen...und trage doch nicht noch dazu bei dass dieses Land noch weiter von einer vernünftigen Gesprächs Kultur abdriftet

The restoration of this video is simply superb. I was staying in München (Munich) for quite some time and had visited a war memorial event where they showcased all the photographs of the debris. Now to see that in motion gives chill in the spine and shows how horrific those days really were ☹️

Someone wrote this in another video but when you see history like this in *color* it really puts things into perspective. When you normally watch things like this in black and white it feels old and it happened so long ago, then you see the same thing in color and it really hits you. Real people, actual events that took place not that long ago. We're still humans. The most sad part is this is going to happen again and again as long mankind is around.

Fine effort, with important historical presence. Very interesting to see the color, of then and what was to come, so quickly, and so brutally.
Apart from the stunning restoration, you have to really admire the honest self examination/critique from the narrator.

Not at all, it's entirely typical of the sort of post-war intellectual arrogance that held that the whole of the problem with the Third Reich lay exclusively with the German people alone, and which tried to brainwash the children and grandchildren of the Reich generation with national war guilt for the sake of crimes which they could never have had any part in. All the time we germans tried to remember what happend so it will never be repeated again but looking into the world and the history of the nations right now, after the the second world war, shows just one thing: we have learned nothing and we repeat the same mistakes over and over again.

A couple of basic minded observations- no one was fat , everyone dressed immaculately
To know that my Opa (grandpa) was there as a compulsory young Hitlerjugen (Hitler Youth), and did his duty from 39-45 in the Luftwaffe (air force) - survived horrors and was tortured by the British as a POW - and survived to move to North America under Operation Paperclip to raise a family and swear against war and militarism as a devoted pacifist for the end of his days is astounding.
I spent my teens and early twenties in universities studying art, playing sports, and having fun with friends. He had to fight this horrible war. We should never take peace for granted.
EDIT: My grandfather passed away in his sleep in 2007 at 86 years old survived by 5 children and 18 grandchildren. He was forced to work for the Cold War as a condition of his family having a better life.
I have been trying to write a book on my family for nearly two decades. The UK & German governments refuse me access to classified information until 2045. The fact that we still do not have access to this period when everyone is dead - my Opa volunteered in '39 at 17 years old - is beyond absurd.

You need to read more about history. The nazis started their journey to power by having literal thugs in the streets beating up communists and other people with views that differed from theirs. In Hitlers speeches he spoke greatly about the german people but was determined from the start to wipe out all the jews - even the iron cross decorated war heroes from WW1 who considered themselves germans in first place, jews in second. Later, during the war, he also showed that he had little regard for german lives when he forbade the army from withdrawing from Stalingrad, ultimately killing thousands of german soldiers. But these are just some examples. There are many layers to National Socialist Germany. You can read about the school systems, how PE teachers basically took over all of the education. It would have produced a fit but daft generation of people, indoctrinated to believe in different races and their own superiority. If that sounds like a dream to you I am truly sorry you think that way. But I also believe that in the end, you would not have liked it. Western society is far from perfect and has many flaws, but still a much better idea then national socialism.
If you seriously compare the industrialised mass murder of 6 Million Jews, and around 10 Million Civilians in Europe with Gang Wars and Homelessness in present day US I wonder what they teach you Yanks at school. Greetings from a German

Россия выступала за прекращение обстрелов Донбасса, предложив Минские соглашения, гарантом по исполнению которых выступили Россия, Германия и Франция,но которые так и не были соблюдены. Ангела Меркель призналась в 2022 году, что Украина не собиралась их выполнять и ей было дано время для подготовки к войне. 8 лет шла война на Донбассе, где гибли и гибнут мирные люди, но никого это не интересовало, кроме России. Нацизм снова поднял голову. На Украине ходят под знаменами Бандеры, сотрудничавшего с нацистами во время Второй Мировой войны, несогласных с госпереворотом на Украине сожгли в доме профсоюзов в Одессе в 2014 году. И никто не заступился за Донбасс, кроме России.

Ich meine nichts gegen eine schöne Parade, aber so exzessiv wie dieser Fahnenkult im Alltag damals ausgelebt wurde wirkt es schon wieder lächerlich. Ich denke es ist auch charakteristisch für das NS-Regime und nicht für die Zeit davor und zeugt eigentlich eher von einem wenig fundiertem, künstlichem Nationalbewusstsein, dass es nötig hat sich so aufdringlich und demonstrativ ins Szene zu setzen.

Наоборот - переживания, мысли, действия и чувства этих людей имеют непосредственное к нам отношение, и если мы не осознаем что руководило этими людьми, какими идеями и переживаниями они были одержимы, мы неизбежно будем повторять их ошибки. На этом кстати фильм и акцентирует внимание - на огромной важности памяти и ответственного отношения к своей истории. Люди умирают, но идеи и ценности которые ими движут живут гораздо дольше, предаваясь из поколения в поколение.
