I see what you're saying but, people have different ways of coping with death. And, sure you could argue or say the joke was kinda messed up. But I feel like the joke wasn't that bad. It depends on how you interpret it. It could be sweet saying that their son is where they left him together last, or like in the literal grave, or maybe he means in heaven. I feel like there wasn't really a hole in the story. I kinda understand the wife's frustration but at the end of the day it's nothing to fuss about, maybe question but that's about it.
