True. When you talk of active citizenship that's a major area I feel we lack as South Africans. All we do is vibe and complain. I really admire Americans when it comes to active citizenship. They are active. I WANNA see that happening. So for someone like me that has seen a gap in governance who can I approach in my community to contribute and provide my vision for my community? One area that I feel Sans need to address, that no one is talking about, especially in light of the giant problem of gun violence in this country, the recent mass shooting, I wanna address the problem of the circulation of illegal fire arms and the random shots that are fired nightly in the township that we've gotten so used to. Neighbourhoods needs to stop keeping silent about guns going off for no reason.

These are low skilled jobs, permits should never have been granted in the first place when many SAns were unemployed in 2009. The longer government takes to address this issue the better for opposition parties because this will become a burning issue ahead of 2024 elections. Last time l checked it is not only Zimbabwean who are foreigners.
This minister is a man who received good legal advice. Let’s wait for the courts to have their say first so thereafter the decision will be final. It’s better this way, the court challenges waited until the last minutes so the judge will be under pressure because of little time left on the grace period. But this extra six months removes that pressure because they are going to court in October.
Lets not forget that the court are often used to change government decisions, this extra six months promotes good will with the courts for the government’s benefit. The minister wants to do everything to make sure he does not lose this case.

Speak for yourself, we have families here now, our kids are South African Citizens and so we have a duty to raise them in their status as SA Citizens. Those that have nothing to lose by going back to Zim can do so and God be with them in trying to vote out a Party that will kill if threatened.

I don't know if the minister of Home Affairs Aaron Motsoaledi read these comments. I needed to ask him if the same will be applied to other foreigners like the Nigerians who are in this country, not working nor having any businesses but live in complexes and drive expensive cars and nothing is being said about them. What about those whom everybody knows including the government itself that they sell drugs in Sunnyside, Windsor, Hillbrow and many other places including in other provinces? Why is the minister of police not pouncing on them one day? Is it true that they pay bribes hence the government says nothing about them? Is the ANC realizing that the people of South Africa are tired of them and it's going to be virtually impossible for them to be voted into power again? This makes me angry , in my family I'm the only one working from the family of 12 old children who are ready to work , they have been looking for job up and down but they found nothing, even shop work nothing, I made security courses for them; still they found no job ! That's true. I've thought of this too. As to why Zanu PF, a party guilty of human rights violations, is found having a branch in a democracy such as SA that wants to take a neutral stance is beyond me. SA should have been a leader in SADC. What is happening in Mozambique wouldn't go for this long if I was running SA coz we would create a real bloc with SADC countries and make life easier. It would also address the problem of hijacked cars that are going into Mozambique DAILY on the wake of dead SA motorists of people being kidnapped and losing their vehicles.
