with that kind setup she should can hold her own concert at home.
Honestly. The 4090 could run the mocapping, rendering, and transcoding while barely breaking a sweat.
Imagine Botan's laugher if Shion told her:
Shion: I bought the 4090.
Botan: Nice! What's the CPU?
Shion: What is that? My PC doesn't have one.
A newly design pc that don't need CPU to operate😂
@@CZ-DELTA tbf, that 4090 is beefy enough to be it's own CPU
In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if GPU comes with an integrated CPU in the future
@@alexlam5772 I'm surprised it hasn't happened already, given the state of technology.
Expensive is easy to achieve when nvidia is jacking prices up faster than a decade of inflation
They got the taste of etherium boom and refuses to go back ever since
I hope AMD crushes them in pricing and FSR performance
Everything looks like nvidea Will make cheaper GPU's as nobody Is really Is buying except for the 4090
@@rdxzero FSR is honestly garbage. It's nowhere near DLSS 2.0. Thankfully DLSS 3.0 is also garbage lol. All in all this generation is horse shit. The CPUs are fine but motherboard prices are through the roof right now and DDR5 is in its infancy so it'll require an year or two for them to hit their golden speed so buying them now is a waste of money. This whole generation sucks ass. Unless you're a content creator or you actually need the RTX4090 for productivity, this generation is a "skip" generation.
@@kevinp6886 they release new gpu's way too often now

Botan would be crying if she hears Shion buying 3000$ without knowing her PC has CPU or not xD
*"Death by monitor arm"* Sounds like worst way to die
Shion wants to make film, let's goooo!!
she should ask laplus to help. the power of two kusogakis can do anything.
after botan hearing her say that,
"death by monitor arm" could mean botan used monitor arm as the murder weapon
Death by Monitor arm is a pretty rad Heavy Metal Band name
Let’s call botan for the technical support and Kiara for the translations from Eng to Japanese and Miko for Elite support and finally Aqua for best friend support! 😁😂
give the lion a little rest, she can't install PC's every time every member, let them learn on their own, they have to upgrade and install them every 3 years
@@lilu_dev what use of staff -san and mane-chan in here. lmao
given how good at translating speech Korone is maybe she can take a crack at the instructions
imagine having a team just to install a monitor arm lol
That is not a beef pc, that is the whole cow
Kusogaki S : bruh I brought a 4090
Kusogaki + : why ? U finna make a film ?
Kusogaki S : bichs I might

Give me strength
Her Laplus impression was actually pretty good, i really thought it was Laplus talking for a moment there
Shion constantly sets records for repeating herself lol
English: the true raid boss for a Japanese garlic girl
I honestly feel like shion got sales talked into buying a 4090, I have in no way to figure out what she'll do with that power house of a pc when most of the games she plays is in the switch. She doesn't even know what the specs mean.
she probably just asked for their 'strongest PC' build
the general rule of thumb that people subscribed for is that quality comes with price
the problem is that they just don't know the point where the curve ends
when price got exponential for a small amount of improvement
For streaming it's probably fine, buying a part that'll be capable for a year longer is probably worth the premium she's dropping. Gamers can look for value, critical workplace tools you can go for the marginal best
@@nietzchan I think the 4090 bucks that trend though. It really *is* that much stronger than the 4080. Thing hits game engine's FPS caps on 1440p handily. It has it's problems, but POWAHHH definitely isn't one of them lol.
@@davidy22 its not "probably" lol, her setup is definitely overkill for streaming. well atleast she wont be facing any pc slowdowns during stream which is a plus for her and us.
@@Yamoyashi Overkill isn't even bad though, when it's for your job going for the best part is fine. The worst feeling is skipping paying the premium, hitting stuttering and wondering if the top of the line would have handled it while you watch the customary viewer dip that comes with stream hiccups
With that specs, she can run entire HoloGra episode on her own.
Depends. Running 120hz on a true 4k monitor, all settingg on high in what ever game. Including rtx on, will still push it
@@Berstich wfh are you on about he means making HoloGra eps not playing games.
I felt a sharp sting to my soul when 4090 was stated ww. Damn. Shion yo💀
dang ... 4090, she's loaded!!! the rest of pc component are irrelevant now 😅
and 2GB of ddr4
This made me laugh more than it should have.
with a 5950x there's definitely ddr4 in there. I have no idea why anyone would pay a billion dollars for a 4090 and then go with a previous gen cpu and ram.
@@nttea and the 5950X is probably running at its base clocks without PBO, similar to the RAM, which is probably running at its JEDEC rating without XMP enabled.
These simple BIOS toggles are so often forgotten by almost everyone.
her laugh cures my fatigue
Speaking from someone who built a few PCs... she overspent for an unbalanced computer that far exceeds her needs. The i513600 and 5800x3d is $300 right now, which would suit her streaming/gaming better than the CPU she bought. The GPU she got is amazing but way overpriced. Instead of paying $2000+ on a single GPU, a $900 3090Ti or $800 3080Ti would suit her a lot better. Less heat, less chances of melting issues, lower power draw, with a good 70-80% of what the 4090 provides. People already stream with these graphic cards so they aren't limiting her.
Installing my monitor arm on my desk was one of the worst experiences I had ever since moving to my new room too. I always felt like my monitor would find a way to fall or break itself whenever I was holding it to screw it in knowing my luck 💀
Bolted into a wall is always the safest option
Were you..... installing the arm while the monitor was attached to the arm...?

I mean it's her working tool. If it's for your working tool of course you spend arount that much. I'm a surgeon and my surgical glasses cost around 1500 dollars too.
I think one of the thing that makes them feels okay to spend is probably because they could put it as work expenses and might be eligible for tax cut, idk how it was done there but my brother currently working in Japan and buying PC through their company and write them off as such.
Mr Lolitannia here is a surgeon guys look 😂😂😂😂
Laplus 😭😭
for SEA viewers who wants a comparison how expensive those 2 items are it is as expensive as buying a honda ADV 160cc
or 1/2 of corsair one lol.
Really ADV is really not common in alot of of country. Maybe Vario is a better example
I've never been more scared for a hololive member to have a PC upgrade. 4090's have a reputation to MELT.
Yeah, if you try hard enough to improperly attach the power cables
I hope the one assembles it gave her the best PSU with a strong power cable
to make it worse, shion that having his previous biggest spending was also a "PC" but somehow dead by blue screen...
it will melt.....
@@Radhb dude, she literally bought prebuilded PC.
No, it will not melt.
@@deadlymecury ....Depends whoever she bought that prebuilt PC does makes a good one lol, alot of prebuilt PC sucks because most will try to cheapen in some ways for the bigger margin.
And given how clueless she is with the PC i bet my ass that blue screen of death she encountered in her old PC are just her PC overheating because she haven't cleaned it for years.
And i hope to god she doesn't throw away that PC with a storage still in it facepalm.
Seems like absolute overkill, to be honest. :P
I'm so hungry for her stream 🥺
Hope she can stream normally this year
Well expect more blue screen, Shion-chan...
That's enough for me to go out and buy a house. She just buy PC.

4090 ? wtf that wayyy overkill. Who advice Shion to buy that 4090
Botan maybe
@@kevinbaumhoer7359 i don't think so
I think a clerk recommended it to her. You know when the clerks knows that you are clueless they recommend the latest and expensive stuffs to you.
Why not, its her job and she earns a ton of money doing it. Any holomem would earn enough in a week to pay for the PC she bought.
Clerks usually recommend you to buy a pre-built set that will bottle neck soon if you are asking for a budget pc.
For individual parts, if you are asking what to get, they will get you the middle of the pack that is sitting in their store for months, barely better than the cheaper and worse than the slightly more expensive ones.
And if you ask for individual parts/sets and straight up say "i'm rich, i don't care" or give in to their "scout you out", they will rob you blind.
I feel kinda bad bc no way she needed to spend that much money on a 4090. Shion would have been fine with a 6700 XT with the games she plays. But hey now she can run her own 3D live on that computer
Shion rich kid
... her sole GPU basically Is worth my whole 2 years old PC+2 monitors... sigh
She Will stream in 4k from now on
"Are you going to make a film?"
Good question, La+. I think Shion will make a mini-concert in the comfort of her own home. :D :D
That's the best GPU you can buy right now, and if she bought the computer 6 months ago that was probably the fastest CPU you could buy back then. I approve.
You can buy 2 good pc setup with her gpu lol
Wow beef pc indeed! Even I don't know what to sometimes with my pc that has a 7900 XTX and Ryzen 9 5950X lol.

well yeah that PC is overkill for someone who rarely play video games and streaming

Why buy 40 Series cards? I thought those have melting cords?
Depends on the person that's cabling it, my day 1 PALIT 4090 card still works well and I'm playing the latest AAA games on max settings.
There's a lot of factors involved there. Have enough room horizontally in your case that you don't have to bend the cables much (good luck there lmao) if at all when installing it, unplug and replug as few times as humanly possible, make sure the connector is fully seated, etc.
not at all.
for full disclosure you should watch Gamer Nexus on that topic (because they researched it for several weeks and make like a hour and half of videos on that topic if not more), but tl;dr:
1) there is nothing wrong with connector itself - with things like pins size to power transfer etc;
2) 99.99% melted connectors / adapters were users fault: they did not properly secure it in the socket, they did not insert it all the way because
2.1) connectors have stupid design, no audible click, very high force to insert and have zero fool-proof tolerance with detection of not properly seated connector though it could be easily integrated into sense wires or simply making some pins shorter like IN ANY OTHER CONNECTOR INCLUDING PCI-E FFS;
3) 0.01% is possible because of contaminations inside connector or on pins, at least they found traces of that in one or two cases though that was combined with user error.
And to describe "not properly inserted connector": they tried various things including sending all the power via two pins (nothing) and they also tried not fully inserted connector; but in their imagination not fully inserted connector is something with gap about 2mm wide - but it didn't fail. What they found on users' adapters is marks about 4-5mm from the bound of the connector. They repeated that 4-5mm wide gap and they finally achieved high temperatures and smoke with that.
Since overall pins' length is about 8mm - 4-5 mm is not even considered as "not properly inserted" imho, it is "half way inserted"... With such wide gap you either need to not care at all - or probably to insert it without proper click and then wiggle it out by moving wires too much and then not seeing that it's only half way in.
A little advice for a fellow PC building lover and a Holopro fan, don't buy the 4080 with the current price right now. Well, if money is not a problem go for 4090 instead.
I refuse to throw amd & nvidia money gonna buy used.
Shion: "My pc had bluescreens, so I bought a new one"
My poor ass: "My pc only boots when heated, so let's learn electronics and soldering for repairing because I can't afford a new mobo"
I mean, I'm genuinelly happy that she achieved the financial stability to not have to worry about heavy investments (It's her job tool after all), but I can't stop thinking that maybe someone could have troubleshooted her old rig or advised on a proper new setup, this looks way overkill. Nevertheless, here's hoping this new rig works well for her needs for years to come, it has the specs to last at least 2 generations game-wise.
Imagine having a PC this strong and not knowing how to use it? It is like giving a lamborghini to someone that drives at 50km/h
Not being tech savvy doesn't mean the utilisation isn't there, she is literally a steamer running multiple programmes simultaneously for her work. And a beast PC means no game is out of reach even while streaming.
Yeees? Isnt this most Gamers computers? Super confused here, shes got an average PC. Kinda surpised for a V-streamer.
Having lived through tough times, the RTX4090 will be uncharted territory for these women.
I hope she won't regret that purchase there's a lot of melting issues with rtx 40xx series
1) not "a lot", GamerNexus counted like less than 0.1% or something like that.
2) it was mostly users fault plus bad design that could lead to such fault and have zero fool-proof ability. In order to melt power connector you either need to not insert it properly and then wiggle it out of the socket - or to not insert it at all: they haven't achieve melting or significant temperatures with connector that was not fully inserted with a gap about 2mm wide. In order to melt the connector - you need a gap about 4mm wide plus tilt. Overall connector length is something like 8mm - so it's not even "not properly inserted", it is "half way inserted".
3) if you are not aware of topic - at least check it before spreading rumors. The amount of "4090 tend to MELT!" under this clip is too damn high.
40xx series is the new 20xx series, it's almost pointless unless you absolutely need the comp power that 4090 provides, otherwise it's just overpriced crap. AMD's 7k series aren't that good either, just a bit cheaper with similar rasterization performance and the same if not worse power draw. So ironic Intel of all people is one of our only hopes now to freaking get the industry back on its feet; not saying that the Arc is good, just saying we can only hope on the competition, especially in the price dimension, that they would bring.
Sadly such an unbalanced system for her needs. Could have went with a 4070 Ti and DDR5 based platform (or even a 5800X3D) and likely averaged better performance for less money.
😝🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😘😘😘😘😘😘♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Shion is introvert so looks like she didn't consult any PC savvy people in Hololive before buying new PC. Her close friends are mostly gen 2 mates and Laplus, all are clueless about PC.
if she asked Botan, Botan will definitely advice her to buy a less powerful PC. Other girls play heavy games so 4090 is not overkilled for them. But for Shion who mostly play casual games, this is a big waste. And just pretend 4090 melting and Nvidia card overprice don't exist.
3080 is suitable enough for Shion imo.
But i don't blame Shion. There are a lot of people like her out there (both young and old). Buying an expensive thing, or doing a big investment, many people don't research much before deciding. It's not like we live in primitive world, people. We have something called Internet, and friends.
