  • On an IBM Z Mainframe system, there’s the physical side of things, which you can see, and the logical side, how those physical resources get set up so you can use them. In this video, we’ll take a look at how Logical Partitions (LPARs) are just one of the many ways that virtualization gets put to use from a technical and a business perspective.

Diagnosing excessive spin loops on a ES/9000 was always fun.

How can we show the groups that are entitled to an application on the mainframe without doing so in the LPARs? This is for an audit. Unfortunately some systems are about 30 years old so when we tell the application owner to look back at how the entitlement is created and where we can see all the entitlements, we are at a loss. They’re running on Top Secret-Mainframe.

Hello, I am using OPC and this happens: I have an applicationOne that has the jobA,jobB,JobC. I need to read the content of the application and only put the names of the jobs in a vector to use them in another application. Do you know where I can get information to schedule these tasks? Thanks a lot
