If Trent wants to leave, I don't see why we would retain him.... I think the team performed better with Connor Bradley....
Trent is a generational player and yet I prefer Connor Bradley at right back and Macca and 2023 Szobo in midfield over Trent because they are more well rounded in my opinion. Trent is the type of player, in my opinion, that will shine when the other 10 players on the team are making up for his lack of desire to defend. An aging Salah, and an unbalanced midfield with too many 8/10s doesn’t get the best out of Trent. Trent would shine at Real Madrid.

If Real Madrid offered 120 million for Trent I would snap their hand off for it! I don't think Trent is very good he has got a wonderful pass on him but he makes way too many mistakes that cost us his concentration levels and positional play are pretty poor and we also now have Connor Bradley who I would rather play at RB than Trent as he is a better defender and when Trent was out of the side last season we looked a lot more solid at the back with Bradley there. We actually played our best football when Trent and Salah was both out of the team last season.

I don't get why everyone keeps thinking we need him I watch every single game and have done for years and just can't see why people think he is the best thing since sliced bread it baffles me. Teams target him when he plays because they know he is a weakness for us. He isn't as good as a lot of people make out he is, hitting 60 yard passes every now and then and scoring a few free kicks just isn't good enough, we need better. He has been making way too many mistakes for way too long now and it's not gonna change.

If you watched every game you would see how detrimental he is to us playing as a RB. There are plenty of ex pros and pundits that say the same thing. Why do you think teams target us down the left when Trent is in the team? There is a reason for that and it's not because he is a fantastic defender! He doesn't get nowhere near enough goals or assists to make up for the mistakes he makes playing as a RB.

Did you see how him and Bellingham both did the same celebration after he scored for England. You can tell talks are taking place between him and Birmingham. I think he wants out now, and when a player wants to leave, you can't stop them. As we have seen time and time again. And because he has 1 year left on his contract, he can just not sign, and that will put pressure on the club to sell him so they do not lose money. It's a tough one. Obviously, I want him to stay. But after all the silver wear and groundbreaking matches he's been involved in for Liverpool fc, and everything he has done for us, I wouldn't begrudge him a new chapter. We can't just think about ourselves, I have love for trent, and I want to see him do well, whether it be at Liverpool or somewhere else. We are Liverpool, so we'll be alright 👍

The Trent situation isn't as easy as you all make out. He should have all the attributes to make it in central midfield BUT he won't defend, press or track back - so he's lost the 50% minimum of what LFC require from OUR players before he even starts. It may be adequate for other teams/formations but not a pressing side.

Depends what on what Slot wants to do. Trent is not a central midfielder for me. Happy he’s getting this chance for England so we can see, but against a top quality midfield for a full season I don’t like it.
Trent for a good transfer fee, then signing Frimpong and with Bradley also that’s fine for me.
Would just be a shame as he’s a Liverpool lad and potential captain but is he going to be the standard of Gerrard, I think not.

If Trent really did want to leave and he is not sold this summer then my advice to him would be to sign a new contract anyway with a realistic release clause tied into it and make it known to the club that if Madrid came in for him and met the release clause then he would leave this way he keeps his dignity with the club fans and city instead of doing a Michael Owen and becoming a figure of hate....this way we get a good price for him and he gets to go to Madrid without being dubbed a traitor which he would if he left for free imo...
If I was his agent I would advise the complete, Trent is in the driving seat now his contract is down to 12 months, if he waits till Jan he can sign pre contract with Madrid, get a huge pay rise and more than likely get around £40 million signing on fee, and you would tell him not to do this, it's the club's fault for not sorting this last season, don't blame the p!ayer for not putting the club first, that's not his job.

His all round game is average, yet he has tremendous vision, passing and shooting. He’d never get a game in cm for Madrid. Not a chance. I’d struggle to see him starting consistently at RB also, once they see how poor he is defensively. I’m not overly fussed what happens to him.
