But as american apple pie, we use double-crusted pastry dough to make the pie crust so the pie base should be tender, buttery and flaky- a bewitching mix of flour plus butter for flavor and shortening (or lard!) for tenderness, while the top layer of crust that covers the pie could be crispy! We also season our apple/pumpkin/pecan pies with a lot of cinnamon! We will dollop some whipped cream/ice cream on top of the pie when serving😋 I wanna try all the pecan pies that you ate today!!!!!!🥰😍😋😋😋
@@cossert American kids (boys and girls) start baking breads, pies, cookies, biscuits (American biscuits which having similar texture with scones , not cookies), scones, cinnamon rolls with their moms or grandmas when they were little. So almost every family here has their homemade breads, cookies and pies for meals (at least the town i grew up). I also bake focaccia, ciabatta, baguette and German white breads in turns for my husband and myself as one of our daily carbs intake sources every another day. I would say 75% of american has a little bit (not that much🤧)baking knowledge 🤭
