In this video we look at a number of different elements that make up Film Noir.
We briefly look at the origins of film noir, some of the adaptations from pulp literature, the icons (the things that we see), archetypes (the type of characters that we see), and rituals (the kinds of things that happen) typically seen in film noir, as well as the effect of camera angles, light and shadows, and music in film noir.
We also look at some of the best film noir films as well as modern film noir films from the 1980s-2019)
