If you hold a passport from the EU you don’t need a visa to visit, just an ETA/ESTA (pre-travel authorization). The same applies for citizens from Canada, Chile, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, Australia, or any other developed/advanced country. You can visit for up to 90 days (with the exception of Canadians, who can visit for up to 180 days). As for reacquiring citizenship, of course you can, but by naturalization. It doesn’t matter if you were born there, one you renounce you’re treated as a foreigner.
A lot of these reasons seem to have more to do with choosing to live as a guest rather than an involved citizen. If you are an involved citizen, you'll follow the politics of whatever country you live in and you'll care about what's going on there.

I don't get it. You give up your citizenship, but you can't visit family? People visit from other countries all the time. You can't just show up as a tourist? That's a bum deal.
Even tourists have to apply for a tourist visa!
@@roythousand13 Or just show up illegally and get set up for life!

@@roythousand13 Did you see that ABC News accidentally displayed Pennsylvania's election results on their scrolling marquee. It stated that Harris won Pennsylvania at 57%. If you haven't heard, go ahead and Google it. Things are super sketchy.

But if you were less than 30 days in the US you dont have to pay tax, Why you had to renounce if you literally live outaide?
Less respected than a US passport? Do you know what the reputation of the US is these days?
Was it love, or was it noisiness? There get's to a point to where someone becomes so invasive, it's literally obsession. They are so ashamed of their actions and what they did to the point to where they don't even know how to tell me...... If you can't tell someone wtf you did because you know exactly what you did, perhaps you shouldn't have been doing that in the first place. Instead of addressing the situation, they find portals to initiate the conversation of the topic..... They want to control the outcome of my life but it is not up for controlling.
You have not realised that the US passport does not have such great respect, it is less than Brazil, and it will get worse, it is already down to 44th on the list.
I almost spat out my croissant when I heard him say that. I was like has this guy travelled much further abroad from the USA past Canada and Mexico?
How much do they charge you to renounce?
When I was looking at a video. People said 20k USD. I am not a US citizen and I was never one. But acording to a video someone paid that much.

2:35 naaah, the german airport (technically it is schengen area issue) is cool with St. Kitts. visa free access now and scheduled for ETIAS access later. same queue as USA and 50 other friends of Schengen, comes 2025
caribbean CBI will do homeworks for that because the schengen access is a sale argument for them. also means carribean CBI will likely limit the sale to people of origin nobody has beef with. for example no russians or chinese if they can help it.

How do you visit the US? Do you need to get a visa? Can you reacquire citizenship ever?
If you hold a passport from the EU you don’t need a visa to visit, just an ETA/ESTA (pre-travel authorization). The same applies for citizens from Canada, Chile, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, Australia, or any other developed/advanced country. You can visit for up to 90 days (with the exception of Canadians, who can visit for up to 180 days).
As for reacquiring citizenship, of course you can, but by naturalization. It doesn’t matter if you were born there, one you renounce you’re treated as a foreigner.
Yes, it is possible to reacquire as if you were a foreigner … but why would you want to? Lots of questions etc.
A lot of these reasons seem to have more to do with choosing to live as a guest rather than an involved citizen. If you are an involved citizen, you'll follow the politics of whatever country you live in and you'll care about what's going on there.
Big tech and our media is picking our leaders, what so hard about seeing that.

An African like me is looking at these videos and wondering, what is wrong with this guy? A lot of people here will do anything to get the passport you renounced.
He has explained it to you, america is going downhill. And for globetrotters it's a liability to be an american citizen, you need to file taxes and declare everything even if you live full-time in other countries.
This guy has millions in the bank, and has passive income, that should explain it, and maybe don't come here either.
If you are wealthy you can save millions a year in taxes alone and ditch all the financial reporting requirements. If you are a "Poor", this doesn't apply to you.
Watch the video.
He is pretty damned clear about why US citizenship can be problematic.
His name is Wealthy Expat. He already has it made but wants to keep more of his earnings and wealth away from the reach of US tax laws and from politicians such as Biden who wants the rich to pay more taxes. Obviously he is not speaking to the average American.

Couple other negatives is that you lose your Medicare privileges and your Social Security benefits
Wouldn’t giving up your U.S. citizenship and passport means you CAN NOT get your Social Security benefits anymore???
No thats a misconception
Most nations are not on a banned list that prevents your from receiving your Social Security income, like North Korea or the "Stans". Social Security can withhold 25.5 percent of your benefits if you renounce and relocate abroad. Some people can lose nenefits such as "Survivors" or "Dependents".

I lived in Houston. Okay place. The "city of strip malls" seemed to have most anything one would need. The local economy seemed to be questionable at times though it seemed to be functioning judging from the traffic and the pretty full carts at HEB and Walmart, but didn't matter to me since my income derived from the national GDP more than Houston's GDP.
