Been listening to Joyner since I saw/heard him on the Sprite bet cypher. He stood out against everyone else to the point I thought he was already a well established artist that I someone how missed out on. I was always confused about why it was taking so long for him to blow(pause). With so many out there getting by on emulating what's already currently working or has worked in the past it was like a breath of fresh air and videos like this only served to reinforce the feeling that he is the genuine article. Of course it's easy to hear his influences in his work but that's all they are is influences, he has his own unique perspective/point of view and exudes the kind of confidence and conviction in it that takes most new talent quite a bit of development to reach. He was obviously ready for it for several years now and I'm sure being overlooked weighed on him heavily but it actually worked out in his favor in the end because he popped at the optimal time for his type of music and style.now if he would only just speed up the way he's dripping out adhd a bit I'd be a really happy fan. These two to four month intervals between songs and videos is too long of a wait.
